Russel Westbrook signs 3yr $85M extension to stay in OKC. In his statement he said he's glad to stay the with the team that drafted him and that he's played his entire career with.

Sooo beautiful, it's like he signed the contract just to call out KD for abandoning them, now Westy takes over as face of OKC, and should be a scary dominant force with KD out of town.

How cool would it be if they played in the western conference finals...

I'm hoping and praying for a Warriors/Thunder season opener, or Christmas day game. That Western Finals between the two this past season was one of the best playoff battles of recent memory, and now with KD becoming the traitor, and the obvious tension between him and Russ...this will make for some superbowl style entertainment.

And if they happen to meet again in the playoffs that's just icing on the cake, although it would be tough to bet against the Warriors. It would take a super Westbrook and similar defense and aggression like they played with this past year.

This is how I'd want that series to go. Curry passes it to a wide open McGee and loses it in the final seconds with another tragic Bronson pass to KD. Westbrook than takes it and lobs it to Oladipo for a slam dunk.

Yea it would be epic to see Russ and company upset the warriors in each and every matchup they have this season. They will probably matchup atleast 2-3 times before the post season. Then of course the real fun begins.

So the build your NBA team for $15. I wanted to add some changes to that.

Here we go

PGs

$5 Magic Johnson

$4 Oscar Robertson

$3 Isiah Thomas

$2 John Stockton

$1 Gary Payton

SGs

$5 Micheal Jordan

$4 Kobe Bryant

$3 Jerry West

$2 Clyde Drexler

$1 Dwyane Wade

SFs

$5 Lebron James

$4 Larry Bird

$3 Elgin Baylor

$2 Julius Irving

$1 Dominique Wilkins

PFs

$5 Tim Duncan

$4 Karl Malone

$3 Charles Barkley

$2 Elvin Hayes

$1 Kevin Garnett

C

$5 Kareem

$4 Bill Rusell

$3 Wilt Chamberlin

$2 Shaq

$1 Hakeem Olajuwon

So here we go.

PG: $5. Magic Johsnon. Real No Brainer. Greatest floor general of all time. You want someone here who can run the floor the top of its ability. No one in NBA history is better. Easy choice.

SG: $1 Dwyane Wade. Slasher to attack the basket. You need someone who can do this on the team. Magic has a good outside jumper. A guard who can attack the basket and play elite defense is invaluable.

SF: $4 Larry Bird.

In Today's NBA you need a 3 point shooter. Larry Bird was a sharpshooting SF who played tough as nails defense, grabbed a ton of boards and was a great passer.

PF: $3 Charles Barkley-Barkley doesn't need to score to be an effective player. He was also an elite defender and rebounder.

C: $2 Shaq-Magic needs the low post threat... And since Kareem isn't available I figured going to get the second most dominant big man in NBA history would do well.

It would be utterly shocking if LeBron James left Cleveland. He's already stated that he doesn't intend to vacate the team, and he's opted out in order to re-sign given that the 2016-2017 salary cap comes with a monumental increase.

Easy.

Stockton Jordan Lebron KG Hakeem, and with a dollar to spare Wade as 6th man

Make that 80-2.

Plenty

If he can stay healthy he legit has a chance to become the best center in the NBA in 2-3 years along with KAT.

Poor Demarcus Cousins, stuck in Sacremento. Sure he makes millions but on that team he'll never win a championship.

*takes massive paycut to play with Golden State*

That is over 2 points a minute. Pretty impressive

Very. Klay and Draymond are my favorites on that team. I like Steph as a person but think the media significantly overrates him (seriously. I'd take prime Kobe over Steph every day of the week. Sorry. Hell of a shooter, but Kobe was unbelievably good in the clutch, and was a great two way player). KD took the easy way out as we all know.

I seriously hope that the Spurs knock them out.

Kobe is my favorite player of all time so I'm a bit bias, but I'll take it one step further and say Iverson would dominate Curry one on one. He is severely overrated, though I do like him. Hell, watching Kyrie play, sometimes he looks like the more dominant player. Those handles though...

I'd take Westbrook over Steph easy. That said, I think Steph is a better fit with KD.

I don't respect those who don't try on defense. All of the above at least try, even if Curry and Irving aren't the best defenders.

Not to mention idiots I know rank him up there with Kobe and Wade whom I LOVED watching when I was growing up when in reality and in his prime Kobe would kick Harden's butt one v. one

Kobe was a straight up beast on the defensive end. What cracks me up is some people think prime Wade > prime Kobe

Prime Wade was a beast. Kobe was straight up unstoppable in his prime though. When the Kobe-Shaq Lakers came to play nobody could beat them.

I'm convinced that even this modern day Warrior super team would get killed by the Kobe Bryant Shaq Lakers in a 7 game series
