[News] Ravens Defense Responds To Heated Dean Pees

41 posts in this topic

Ravens need to hire Ray Lewis to be DC. Things would sure change with him around. Jackin' up the players before, during and after games is his specialty.

What I don't understand is why they keep Kendrick Lewis on the field regardless of his terrible play. He had not made one impact play ALL season buy the coaching staff makes no adjustments. U drafted Terrence Brooks (Who is actually a true a free safety). Lewis looks just as bad as Matt Elam out there in open space. U got Will Hill playing center field and thats not his Strength. Brooks at least had the speed and instincts to close on them deep balls. I mean give him a shot! He is always around the ball. Just look at the film

Did the Ravens defense respond to Pees' yelling, to Lewis' fiery speech, or to Chargers playing short handed and sloppy football? My money is on the latter.

The defense, if that is what you would call it, has been abominable all year. However, they played pretty well in the second half. This stupid zone defense has got to go. Four guys around a receiver, yet he catches the ball. Then and only then do they tackle him. While the Ravens are short on coverage skills, especially the linebackers who coultn't cover their grandmas, guys like Smith and Webb, have to challege receivers at the line, not 10 yards off of it. Kudos to them for their efforts though. They never quit, and battled til the end.

Really don't believe our secondary is that bad. Injuries and bad play is the reason for inconsistency. You cant blame d pees for that 70 yard td sunday the guys on the field blew the coverage, thats not his fault. From what ive seen the secondary plays well for most of the game and then they give up one or two deep plays that kill them. Thats just a lack of execution, not the d coordinators fault. If our secondary can get healthy and stop with the stupid mistakes and penalties we will be ok. Also for whatever reason other will hill our dbs struggle with tackling. That should also be addressed.
