so this means that means we must pick up another receiver, I just say promote D. Brown to see what we got in him. Evaluate the talent we have on the team already. Perriman must play after the bye to see what we got

As awful as it was watching Smith Sr get hurt it may turn out to be the only way he would consider coming back next year when we might actually have a chance at a title

I know he has a knee issue, but they should free up a little money and trade for Boldin.

What does that accomplish?

We are 2-6, not 6-2.

Justin Tucker earned the right to bust any dance moves he wants. I enjoyed his dance celebration immensely. The Ravens are lucky to have such a great kicker and I love him all the more for his extroverted personality.

What good is trading for another receiver going to do? We'd all love to see the Ravens run the table but even in the unlikely chance they can, will trading picks for another team's 3rd receiver really be what gets this team over the hump? As much as a lot of people hate on Aiken, he has stepped up when we need him all season. Givens and Ross are getting more comfortable in the offense, and we have Butler on the roster too. Marlon Brown is a lost cause but we also have 3 solid tight ends for how young they are and some good pass catching backs in Forsett, Allen, and Juszyzck. And hopefully we get Perriman back for a few games later to see if he what he can actually do. Just not a fan of trading away more picks based on how this season has gone so far, we need them to help plug all of the gaps on the team for next year.

If we trade for another WR, it will be of the Chris Givens variety. A guy who costs relatively nothing in draft pick compensation, and a player who is marginal at best to even make the roster next season.

Its not happening, so I'm not concerned.

As far as the receivers are concerned I think we can make do with Aiken, Givens, Ross, Gillmore, Williams and Boyle as options. We need to rely a lot more on our run game than we are presently doing. Are you listening Mr. Trestman?

What does that accomplish?

We are 2-6, not 6-2.

1. Puts a high quality leader in the locker room

2. Puts a high quality target for Joe on the field

3. Would not cost that much (cost would be restructuring someone's contract for a million or so)

4. Shows that we have not given up

5. Adds something positive to the situation

5. Adds something positive to the situation

1. We don't need to find a part-time leader. We need to find a full-time one.

2. Irrelevant to me when you are 2-6

3. Costs more than what I would be willing to pay somebody who probably won't be here beyond 2015. Keep in mind that he's a FA in 2016, so there's no contract to restructure.

4. We already know we haven't given up... this doesn't show that.

5. We are 2-6.

Trading for Boldin is the kind of move 6-2 teams make, because he's a band-aid. We don't need a band-aid. We need to fully evaluate the guys that we have so we know who will or won't be here next season.

Lets face it... he's a feel good moment, nothing more. The only people driving this boat are fans, because they miss him. Logically, it just doesn't hold up.

I agree

Enough with the talk of bolden and Torrey

If there is one guy I miss more than any other it is Kubiak. I had a year to see how good our offense could be with one of the top OC in the league running the show. What a difference. That was a good year for me

Joe is Joe, and will always be Joe, and I mean that in a good way....... For all of his doubters, and even haters (for whatever dumb reason) he will ALWAYS be giving his all, and playing his absolute best as our QB...... Seeing what he is now up against with Smith Sr's loss, will be a challenge for him, but I completely believe if any QB can overcome it, he can and will :)

Restructure someone elses contract to fit him in, I'm not convinced he could be squeezed in right now.

I know we are 2-6, I'm not sold we aren't making the playoffs.

It shows the other players we are fighting and adds another fighter.

I think adding him may be more helpful than you do, agreed, I also know it is a long shot. I do think taking the shot is worth it and not too expensive.

I would be all for them calling up Brown and saying go to it rookies, but they have not shown they want to do that.

In the AFC, pretty much only shot at guaranteeing a playoff spot is to win out, which isn't happening. Fully healthy, bringing back everybody possible, and we aren't winning 8 straight games.

We have the look of a 6 win team to me, and I think 7 would be optimistic.

I don't want Torrey back even though I like him, I don't think he would be the upgrade we need, he isn't a rock and stick fighter. Boldin would be an instant upgrade and we could potentially resign him.

If the attitude is we won't win 8, then we won't. I think we can despite the odds, maybe just to spite them.

I'm sure the attitude is to win 8. But there's also reality. Wanting to win 8 games isn't enough to actually win 8 games.

I try setting realistic expectations so that I don't have to pretend to be disappointed when we don't meet them.

Besides, there's no indication that this team has had the attitude of a playoff team since week 2, so I don't expect that to change just because we won a single game.

I understand that we both want the Ravens to win out. I understand that we both know the odds are stacked against that.

what I differ on is that I fall on the side of this. They say no one person or small group of people can change the world, I say thouse are the only ones who ever do. - Paraphrase of Margaret Mead. I take the contrarian view, I've done it my whole carrear and I will change it before I'm done. If I let the it will never happen be realistic set into my thinking, I'm dead. that is why I won't take that attitude.

It will be mentioned (and was in this article) but because of the win it will be overlooked. How was that a penalty on Will Hill for unnecessary roughness when it was a simple textbook tackle. Are the referees that clueless on what's allowed and what isn't. The incompetence of that call is mind boggling. Until they change the replay system and hold the referees accountable you'll continue to have STUPID calls made. You only hope it isn't a game changing call Anyone remember the pass interference call on will Hill in the Raider game!) I know the refs are human but some of the calls are beyond any reasonable explanation other than they are incompetent. Why does the NFL put up with this!

By the way, that was a great win Ravens! Sign Tucker to whatever he wants!
