Do you mean, like the Browns, Raiders and Jacksonville did for years? No thanks! Draft pick success is no guarantee. Top college players aren't assured success in the NFL. Sorry but, that attitude is a big gamble, and one that doesn't make sense. A win is always better than a loss.

Liuget goes down on the worst run defense so they come out passing. Urshel cant shotgun snap so they come out in shotgun formation. When they finally decide to run they run behind Hurst. Trestman is awful.

When will Asa get a chance to do some DB work? The potential is there and it's not like there's no room in the D backfield. Au contraire.

When? He was already given that opportunity. The only reason he was surviving was because of his special teams ability, but once he started fumbling he was cut. I said this earlier, a player doesn't deserve to see the field just because they play well on special teams. Especially not at cb. The coaching staff as seen enough of him that they would rather bring in a bum off the streets than to play him at cb, despite how bad our cbs have played.

Now that SSS is down, who are we going to rely upon now, Oz? Perriman?

I'm glad we won, and it's a terrible shame that SSS had that injury and terrible shame he's going to go out with a team that couldn't do much this year because we didn't have a good enough secondary and good enough wr group. Maybe next year, we can try to draft a corner before round 4

Two really good ones coming out and we're in a position to grab one if we so choose

Go back and look at the film. The Chargers were doing what most teams have done and will do against us going forward. You'll see at least 7 guys within five yards of the ball at all times, and many times 8.

I have no issue with attacking them in the pass game the way we did. We had a very mediocre day running the ball even when we did.

There is one take off this game really, IMHO: get Ray Lewis atternd every Ravens-game. Seems like the guys don't dare losing when the Commander is in the house:)

Oh, maybe one more: the key to success against Rivers: don't let him have the ball in the last 2 minutes. Rivers scorched us with 3 TD's in the last 3 halves before the seciond half of last night's game. Seems like we have no weapon against Rivers' two-minute drill. Ergo, the onlky way to beat him is amassing an at least two-score lead by the times the final 2 minutes come, or not letting him touch the ball in the last two minute. The latter worked last night.

I agree with you. Especially with the shotgun issue. At the end we were already in FG range so why even be in shotgun? Why even do anything else, but run?

Whats really irritating is the Ravens talk about all their injuries they have but they don't work on having backups? Especially a center that don't air float a ball back to Joe? COME ON MAN!!

Perriman and Elam are exactly why I'm not thrilled about about getting a better draft position. Ravens are hosed.

we brought 90 men to our camp this year just like every other team.

we got 8 guys on our practice squad just like every other team.

Every position must have a back up. i.e. CENTER. If you don't then your the dumbest coach in the NFL. Even Joe has one. If I'm the only one who saw the way the ball was hiked back to Joe then no wonder this team is what it is. Maybe its a Union rule.

me knowing that we wont make the playoffs this year yes i wish we would have lost.. it felt different watching our game this week. it was good to see us making plays but it wasnt the same.. i wasnt getting all hyped up jumping off the couch cheering when we made plays like i normally do each & every week.. Plus, we never get to draft that high anyway so im kind of excited. cant wait till next season, i also think SSS will come back for 1 more year

To purple & black.....Asa has the potential to cover the WR's and the times he's been in there he has always been around the WR and not chasing them from behind. I don't know what you've been watching but there's no way he could do any worse and would be an improvement in the D backfield. And as far as fumbling you actually think Ross is the better alternative? The reason he was available was because he couldn't hold on to the ball and already made a critical mistake when the game counted. He also can only run north & south and has no lateral movement whatsoever. At least Asa's fumbles were in the pre-season and he can run laterally.

What no one mentions, but is obvious (you could look it up) is that the Ravens defense has NO PLAYMAKERS. No one forces turnovers. With Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, they forced a lot of them. That is the difference in these close games. Ok, stupid mistakes and penalties have kiled them as well, but, when you get zero turnovers, it is really tough to win.
