[News] The Breakdown: Eisenberg's Five Thoughts vs. Chargers

You fans that want to cut Brown after Ravens have 4 WR on injured reserve. A guy who stays healthy, drop two balls all year, and had to lose throws due to Steve. "One in the hand beats two in the bush". Get a better receiver coach and secondary coach.

he drops passes that are literally thrown at his hands. jackson was dropped as a returner because he cost us plays even though we didn't have another option till ross?. i think marlon brown does the same, they should develop  daniel brown and use juszcyke more

Now that SSS is down, who are we going to rely upon now, Oz? Perriman?

I'm glad we won, and it's a terrible shame that SSS had that injury and terrible shame he's going to go out with a team that couldn't do much this year because we didn't have a good enough secondary and good enough wr group. Maybe next year, we can try to draft a corner before round 4

Now we find out about the remaining receivers. Flacco will have to identify the best match up and not default to SSS. Too many times this season, Flacco has held the ball waiting for SSS to get open, or forced the ball to him because he does not trust the other receivers. The bye week is the time to teach those receivers. The Raven's season rests on Flacco trusting them.

Why is Brown playing? Because your other receivers can't run block or run more than three routes or stay healthy

I said this and got laughed at Asa "Ace Boogie" Jackson gotta be on the field more and special teams is just a start! Gotta get him back there in the secondary to make some plays and in the return game! The kid got some skills! Also I feel Trestman needs to go upstairs to see the field and the team better! Triple " S " "ICE UP SON" we need you next season! The win streak is on and poppin now! LET'S GO!

Good special teams play doesn't translate to good cb play. He had his shot and failed. Speaks to his ability as a CB that we can lose cbs left and right and we'd rather sign one off the street than to play him

Steve Smith's injury is devastating not just to him (he was having a phenomenal year), but to the Ravens offense, but most importantly to all of us fans, who have grown to love and respect him in the short time he's been with us! We feel for you Steve, please get well and come back to finish what you started along with Sizzle!

I'm impressed with Jackson on special teams, he's tearing it up! I think the 2TE set with Forsett and Buck pounding the rock and getting our speedy guys on the outside some space is a must for the rest of the year

The referees were anticipating and premeditated that flag on Will Hill for unnecessary roughness because they knew about his hard hitting style especially after that hit he did against the Cardinals that knocked out the ball.

5 Thoughts......

Big Plays Down Field. Smith sr, Juice, Givens..then Aiken late Flag all 15 plus yrd chunk plays

Finally and I mean Finally showing Commitment to the Run. First 3 Quarters only ran the ball like 10 times. 4th quarter 12 runs to 5 pass ratio...formula for victory in Ravens history run the ball 20-25 times a game so Joe only has to throw max 35 times.

WRs stepping up, in aftermath of Sr injury(Aiken,Givens,Ross,Gillmore,Boyle)

Defense stepping up mostly today

Have to start converting Redzone opportunities into TDs, not FGs...a theme throughout the season

I'm wondering what the odds are Brent Urban will get on the field before Perriman. I'm thinking since SSS is gone now our other WR's will step up to the plate instead of thinking SSS will do it. We need to start Aiken and Givens with Ross as #3.

When will Asa get a chance to do some DB work? The potential is there and it's not like there's no room in the D backfield. Au contraire.

Monroe's value is diminished by his dead money/ cap savings ratio, and Hurst's unacceptable play. A backup to become a future starter at center looks important. First round again loaded with DE/DT/LB - both ILB and OLB. The question is who is the best player available per round with the greatest ROI and four year potential. I'd be real careful climbing the rope when the low hanging fruit is picked. Pick players not contracts. Givens looks good right now. So does Kamar. Gilmore may want to learn how to fall without breaking his shoulder before it's too late. Williams is not the brightest bulb in the pack. Congrats to Joe for a good performance under pressure. Kudos to Ross. Wagner has his moments and Yanda is the best player by far on the team. He's their leader on offense without a doubt. And that's not a knock on Joe. Joe is consumed and understandably with finding openings with this group and this line makeup. Play those corner shots Joe!

Dean Pees still has CBs playing 15 yards off when the opponent only needs 5 for a first down, and WRs are left wide open in what otherwise appears to be double or triple coverage. Trestman refuses to commit to the running game, despite the opponents relative weaknesses in that area, and instead puts Joe at risk with a backup LT with too many shotgun snap pass pass plays. Finally, Harbs needs to do a better job of managing his timeouts, and not make unnecessary challenges.

I am flat out happy the Ravens won. They played well and for once, together. Joe had perhaps his best game of the year, the defensive front seven were solid and special teams play really excelled. Now, let's get some momentum going with this! Go Ravens!

You knew Monroe was a bad trade the 1st week he was here or you were not looking. He has laid down here since his 1st day. Who knew Kubiac was sooooo good? You could see last years' Ravens offense in the very good Broncos' offense last night. Shame he got away. Thanks Ravens for a great effort yesterday that came wrapped with a "W".

Perhaps Ray Lewis' speech and presence may have inspired Defensive Coordinator Dean Pees as well.

He was still playing his corners 10 yards off the line, but he stopped doing that when they got to the red zone, so I guess that counts as inspiration...
