Where do we pick?

So with Dolphins losing, Ravens losing and the 49ers winning and Chargers losing. Where do the Ravens stand now in the draft?

Unless the Sailboats screw up something royal (and SOS scores pending), it looks like we'll be in the perfect spot for a QB: pick six.

Moving up one wouldn't be that important honestly. I'm comfortable with #7. Everyone I want(if we resign KO) could still be there.

I think being ahead of the niners could be crucial cause of QB needy teams. Could offer trade down possibilities for a team wanting to move ahead of the niners.

Do we have SOS over SF?

Their SOS was .550 last week, while ours was .504. A fair bit can shift around so we'll have to wait for the official order, but that's a pretty substantial difference so I'm confident. Worst case, it'd bump us up one spot in the second round.

Moving up to 6th ahead of the 49ers is BIG, especially if they are targeting a QB like Goff.  My preference is still to stay in the top 10 as I think we need that influx of elite level talent but wouldn't be opposed to trading back to the teens if we get a future 1st out of it.  Or if we can create a bidding war between that "team" plus the 49ers we may be able to milk say a 2nd round for them to move up a spot and guarantee themselves Goff.

And 6th it is!  I was holding out hope for the Chargers winning but figured they'd let us down again.

Not that we really need it, but here's the final draft order without the SOS changes.

1. Tennessee Titans: 3-13 (.492 strength of schedule)
2. Cleveland Browns: 3-13 (.533 SOS)
3. San Diego Chargers: 4-12 (.525 SOS)
4. Dallas Cowboys: 4-12 (.529 SOS)
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: 5-11 (.471 SOS)
6. Baltimore Ravens: 5-11 (.504 SOS)
7. San Francisco 49ers: 5-11 (.550 SOS)

8. Miami Dolphins: 6-10 (.475 SOS)

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 6-10 (.483 SOS)

10. New York Giants: 6-10 (.492 SOS)

11. Chicago Bears: 6-10 (.546 SOS)
12. New Orleans Saints: 7-9 (.508 SOS)
13. Philadelphia Eagles: 7-9 (.513 SOS)
14. Detroit Lions: 7-9 (.538 SOS)
15. Indianapolis Colts: 8-8 (.500 SOS)

Obviously that's subject to minor changes, and the official order should be released within an hour or so, but I can live with 6. With that said though, had we lost to the Steelers we'd have been 3rd according to those figures.

Yup I think its big moving ahead of the 9ers. Creates more possibilities.

Such a curse if anyone wants to trade up ahead of the 49ers to take a QB.

I was thinking that too but then I realized that their loss keeps the Patriots from the #1 seed so it's not all bad.

They've been like a Ravens Lite this season. Getting our hopes up and stringing us along, only to utterly collapse in the big moments.

Was JO or Jamal Lewis 6?

JO was 4 and Jamal was 5. We've never actually picked at 6 (cba checking to see if we've held it and traded it, but if we've had it we've never used it).

Guess we can close this thread and make a new thread dedicated to who we should pick at 6. Like "Ravens Select 6th Overall, Discuss Potential Picks Here".

hey I'll take it. Couldve ben better but couldve been much worse knowing our luck. Im fine with 6. And just that one spot jump could be absolutely crucial and change the entire course of the franchise. Could be the differrence in getting a bust or getting a trade done and getting that one extra player in the 2nd that turns out to be an absolute steal. You never know- but every spot certainly counts.

They've been like a Ravens Lite this season. Getting our hopes up and stringing us along, only to utterly collapse in the big moments.

I was literally about to say the same thing.toyin with our emotions..rotten scoundrels.

Matt Schaub approves

I didn't realise how appropriate that was until now. We take Matt Schaub and end up with pick six. Good grief.

Manziel didn't show up to be evaluated by the Browns medical staff this morning and couldn't be reached by phone. He's done. I'm now confident that the Browns take a QB which should let someone nice slide to us.

Matt "The Albatross" Schaub. I hate him. Get him out of here.
