Where do we pick?

Still doesn't change it. At #7 I don't see nany elite players.

A guy like Ramsey could definitely fall to us at that spot, it could've easily been worse today, Miami did us a huge favor.. even just moving up one spot in the top 10 is worth a tremendous amount. I just wish our win over Pitt kept them out of the postseason, only thing I'm bitter about.

Because we already know who is going to be picked 1-6...

It's likely that Tunsil and Stanley are gone by then. Those are the only "elite" prospects I'd consider. Bosa, Ramsey and Hargreaves don't do it for me. I'd rather just trade back to get a player and an extra pick.

But if the value isn't there for us, who says it's there for another team to use not only their 1st rounder, but an extra pick on a guy?

Yeah, [screw] the Cowboys.

Seriously, they are so pathetic for the amount of talent they still had on their roster even with no Romo. The fact that they couldn't get one win down this final stretch is absurd to me.

With the Miami win it looks like we're picking 7th as of right now, I believe Jacksonville still ahead of us on SOS.

Time to root for SD and SF, we would likely pick ahead of both of them if they managed to win.

I guess since SOS is a complete unknown for the average fan, do we have any idea if it matters?

SOS is the first tiebreaker in the draft order, so that's why we've been obsessing over a slightly unknown number for a couple of months now. Looking at the provisional numbers, though, I'd say ours matches up really well with SF and SF as things stand (if that's what your asking...).

SF picking ahead of us doesn't bother me, I feel like they will take Goff anyway. It's SD who I could see taking a guy off our board.

It's January...

Yeah, we might as well start the draft with the #7  pick and send the drafted players to their respective cities.  Seriously, as rmw said, it's only January.  Since when did nothing change from this point until the end of April.

Just saying that the SOS calculation is a mystery to me ... and don't have the energy to dig into it. So, I'll pretend like these games matter and root for SD and SF.

Just the collective winning percentage of all opponents throughout the season.

yep, which is why I wanted Denver over Cincinnati last week.  We played the Bengals twice and the Broncos once.  SOS purposes it was more advantageous for the Bengals to lose last week.

Doesn't the order swap every round for every team with the same record? So if we pick last of the 5 win teams don't we pick first in the 2nd round?

Or how does the rotation work?

Yes, it is a rotation

4 turnover's already for the Broncos.  Chargers need to capitalize now and put up 7.  Would be painful to see them not win after creating 4 TO's in the first 23 minutes.

So where do we stand now with the Dolphins winning and us losing?

Also what teams need to lose or what needs to happen for us to get back into the top 5?

We rotate but I think it is the opposite way where the first team picks last

that one is tough make the Pats go to Denver or 1 more spot tough call

yeah its kind of hard not to wanna see manning succeed. I have to say I cracked a smile when he came in the game and immediately led them to a td. Looks like we're destined for pick 7 regardless barring something incredible to happen in thennext 2 minutes.

The Chargers owe us. Don't choke, Rivers.

Moving up one wouldn't be that important honestly. I'm comfortable with #7. Everyone I want(if we resign KO) could still be there.
