Where do we pick?

woulda coulda shoulda. Gotta keep it movin now.

mcphee would have probably given us 3-4 extra wins..he crashed through the middle with a vengence.

za darius smith might look like him but he's not even close to the player ( even compared to rookie mcphee who was awesome)

I don't know if McPhee would give us an extra 3-4 wins, but I agree that Za'darius surely is not the player McPhee was. I'm kind of mum on the guy, at times he looks like he has the potential to be a great edge rusher, but then there are times that...well...you forget about him. I'm not saying he is awful, but you just don't see him often, you don't really notice him at all.

It's not as desperately relevant to our own draft position as it was a couple of weeks ago, but the Rams winning lifts them to 6-8 and pretty well out of the logjam in the top 10. As of now they're more interesting to monitor as potential trading partners - if they move to LA they'll no doubt want to make an offseason splash and trading up for (almost) local boy Goff could be a really big ticket.

that's a thought. Foles has been a huge disappointment and keenum certainly hasn't been the answer. 6-8 would be the perfect range to grab vh3 - Ramsey - or Stanley.

This is great news! We may very well get our 3rd round compensatory pick!

Now we need to make sure the FO is aware of our efforts to get him there and hook us up ;)

The North Dakota qb could rise to top5 status. Big arm precisely accurate and competes hard. Very hard!!

Wentz is a good QB, but he isn't top 5 in the draft class good.

Not yet. But if he lights it up in the draft process it wouldn't surprise anybody if he jumped the other QBs. His accuracy is top shelf,he is very intelligent, aggressive and makes fast reads. He has a very big arm and is very competitive!! Many scouts already acknowledge if he were at a bigger school he would be the #1 QB. He is viewed as a slightly more accurate and a little faster reading Blake Bortles. Maybe not quite the athlete. But similar arm intelligence and competitiveness. He consistently locates in tight spots. Not saying he will be first QB but he could make the jump to best qb in the draft just as Bottles.

i agree.  And imo its all about the combine/pro days, we have seen over the years how much a players stock can go up or down just because of their performance at the combine, a lot of people will point to BP and his pro-day.  I wouldnt be shocked if numerous players sneak into the top ten that werent even thought of being drafted that high after their performances.

Anyone have any idea if we jump to 3 in the draft order if we lose and San Diego wins today? I know we beat them head to head but not sure if that matters.

I've got to put my mind on something else right now to prevent getting upset about this monstrosity of a season. We shoot ourselves in the foot every. Single. Week.

I think a Charger win and Raven loss would put us at #3. Where I see us staying. Edited by Cillmatic

It goes straight to strength of schedule. As it stands, theirs (.524) is tougher than ours (.514) so we'd be picking ahead of them, but our SoS will keep rising since our last three games are against winning teams.

if their schedule is tougher.. Shouldn't that mean they're picking ahead of us? Sounds backwards. Hey il take it though. Edited by January J

I think it's because they're theoretically the better team because they got the same record with a tougher schedule.

Ugly first few games for us this week, aside from us taking care of business. But we seem to have more or less checked out at this point, so the 5-8 teams probably aren't going to jump us. So the sides that need to win for our sake are Dallas (really hoping they beat Buffalo next week), Detroit (they had a nice resurgence but seem to have fallen back off the cliff. Hopefully they get one over Norleans) and SF.

Tennessee weren't going to win anyway, and I can't see Cleveland holding their lead. San Diego winning would be huge though.

ravens will probably finish 4th. Our sos is gonna fly up over the next 3 weeks

Yeah, it'll keep growing sadly.

The bright side is that Dallas will probably stay in that .54 region (the Bills and Washington both being more or less at 55-60% this year) and SF's will go up today after facing the 10-3 Bengals (so from our standpoint the worst game in terms of SoS is basically a wash). The Chargers' SoS is harder to predict with Oakland still being a wild card, but I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up picking behind them, even if they won one of their next three.

I think Detroit steals one game. They got games against San Fran, Chicago, and and New Orleans, I think they get one of those games. I'm also hoping Dallas can steal one as well.

I'm really hoping San Diego steps up and wins these next two games. They got a shot against Oakland and Miami.

Yeah, I think the Lions win at least one. Hopefully they beat NO and lose next week. That's our dream scenario imo.

Like I said about the SoS, I think SD will have to win twice to be picking after us. Our SoSs are too close as it is, while ours will rise and theirs looks like it'll fall (unless the Raiders beat the Packers. How's that for getting complicated?).

Yeah, it's tough to determine everything at the moment because of SOS, I'm thinking that if we dropped these next two, San Diego wins their next two, Detroit wins one, and Dallas as well, then we should def. be picking in the top 3. But one thing that cannot be forgotten is the play of Johnny Manziel. Cleveland might have a new regime and could keep him, contrary to popular opinion he has worked hard over the summer and looks better now than a season ago. He looks to get better and better and Cleveland could opt to keep him and select Bosa which would suck.

Sure it won't last but the Browns are beating Seattle. How wonderful would that be.

I hate pulling for any team but the Ravens mostly another team in the AFC north but

I would love the Browns to win today. The Ravens could jump up even more in the draft slotting.

Yeah, I've said before that Bosa makes a lot of sense to the Browns as a scheme fit and with their philosophy of building the trenches. If they actually do the non-Cleveland thing and make a sensible pick they're probably the biggest threats for him (unless the Titans think they can make it work with him).

I'm thinking San Fran needs a QB bad and makes a trade with Cleveland, but I have a feeling that in their mind that Cleveland is not selecting a QB so they will wait it out. Im really hoping that either Tunsil or Bosa falls to us so its not the end of the world if Titans select Bosa.
