Where do we pick?

The ravens should trade their round2 and round3 pick for the proven Stud Michael Crabtree. He is not getting payed to much to afford and he is a proven elite playmaker with gamebreaking speed as opposed to guys from college like Boyd Treadwell Doctson Thomas and Dural.

I definitely could see Jaylon Smith being the top prospect on the board for the Ravens when they pick. Very talented LB.

I agree, that's what worries me.

Don't get me wrong, I think Smith has a good chance to be a great player. But I'd be disappointed if we came away with a ILB with the highest pick we've had in forever. Not even close to my ideal outcome for this draft.

I like Smith but I would be disappointed as well. We are stacked at DL and I even prefer Nkemdiche over him.

If Oz keeps ignoring skill positions I might have to consider joining the "Fire Ozzie" bandwagon lol.

Drafting an ILB in the top 10 would make me cry. ILBs don't tend to create big plays, unlike pass rushers and/or ball-hawking DBs. We need play-makers, guys who can get sacks, turn the ball over, and just play fast. If we drafted an ILB that high he would have to be the next Kuechly, and I'm not seeing that from any of these prospects.

LOL. I will admit, I laughed.

Could have said the whole draft.lol Ravens will likely pick top5 this draft. I wouldn't trade a round1 and round2 for Cooper even!! Last year I would have in point zero three seconds for Cooper!! We seen stranger things. Like the Williams trade.

I concur with the last sentiment in particular. In principle I'm not opposed to taking an ILB/MLB in the top 10 if they're BPA, but with the current group of prospects and with how we're probably the team outside Ohio that's most likely to be picking in the top five, taking an ILB this early would be a huge anticlimax.

If you told me you were going to get a Patrick Willis/Kuechlly type. Then I'd be all for it...

There is no Willis or Kuechly type here.... At all.

I'd much rather try to talk Patrick Willis out of retirement than draft an ILB very high. Besides Bart Scott and Ellerbe were undrafted gems so Ozzie knows he can find some ILB depth in the late rounds or undrafted.

At this point I'm guessing its going to be between Bosa and Hargreaves unless the Chargers and Titans pass on Tunsil. Then Tunsil would be the clear BPA.

That is a very Ozzie pick as is Ronnie Stanley, both the ND boys seem like classic Ravens picks.

I'll agree about Smith but I don't see Ozzie taking Stanley anywhere near the top5, I think the legit concerns about his softness are a big fat red flag that Ozzie can't ignore. Ozzie prefers guys that he thinks can impose their will rather than finesse guys who don't play with authority. with a top 5pick I just think Ozzie would trade back before even considering Stanley

If we trade back I'd want a future first and/or a high second this year. But if we trade out of the top 5 I think Stanley or Kim D would be fantastic targets. I could absolutely live with the drop from Tunsil to Stanley if we get a pick that puts Fournette in reach next year.

trading back is different than picking a lineman with questionable toughness in the top 5 or even top8. If we trade back and the main guys are gone though, then absolutely. Although I prefer Jack and treadwell over Stanley as well

if we trade back and gain a pick that lands fournette, this draft would be a success even if we drafted an epic bust

most definitely. If we landed fournette next year and still nailed our pick this year after trading back I will never question Ozzie again.

I prefer to trade back no matter who is there for us, even if it's Bosa or Tunsil. Can you imagine how great our draft would be if we get an extra first for next year, and an extra 2nd next year if we traded back with a team like San Fran or New Orleans and stay in the top 10.

Also, Imagine if the team we traded back with, New Orleans or San Francisco totally sucked. EXP: The Rams finished 7-9 on the season in 2013 yet was able to pick at 2 because of their trade with Washington, Imagine if we were picking in the top 5 as a playoff team with an 11-5 or 12-4 record. What if we traded back again and got an extra 1st and 2nd? We would be an elite team for the next 5-8 years.

There's a couple guys I'd want the Ravens to take if they could no matter what trade we're being offered. Mainly Tunsil. But if they're gone and someone badly wants to trade up for a player, then that's the best move possible.

Tunsil Osemele Urschel Yanda Wagner!! By far the best Oline in the league!! Dallas' OLine is great but not quite as nasty as those 5 dudes. And on the interior Dallas is very sound but does not get quite as much the movement of the ravens trio. Yanda and Osemele are devastating drive blockers!! And Nasty!! Urschel is a good guard but I believe will be a great center and very powerful and nasty\Physical for the center position. Wagner In my opinion will reclaim pro bowl caliber status at Right Tackle. IN 2014 don't forget he was almost unanimous best in the league for the position.

you keep saying that man but once again it's pretty unlikely that we retain KO.

This does sound pretty sweet lol. Could Monroe have any trade value if we take Tunsil?

What does it cost to franchise a guard?? Ravens really need to find a way to keep him!! I do not think most fans realize how hard it is to find a dominant guard or any Oline player for that matter!! I can not think of another guard other than Yanda better than KO. Teams are drafting guards top20 and can't find a ko!! Look at the Oline busts and mediocre Oline players drafted top10!! Fisher Joeckel and Kalil should never have been top5 picks. The Titans guard picked #10 is nowhere near KO!! Tunsil is the most gifted tackle since Trent Williams and tyron Smith. He has the power element teams that drafted Fisher Joeckel and Kalil hoped would develop. So how much would it cost to franchise a guard?? BTW Yanda is no spring chicken. KO is the eventual leader of the interior Oline surge. Peeps that think he can be easily replaced are mistaken. The ravens got very very lucky with KO!! Ravens needed Oline help and KO had no business being there at that pick!! If Ozzie can find $$ to pay an erratic scrub like Jimmy who flashed at times. Then ravens need to find the money for a top5 guard!! KO is the best pick Ozzie has made in years. Cutting Daryl Smith and Forsett alone should save almost enough money to pay KO.

There are a lot of guards who are better than KO

All offensive linemen are treated the same for franchise tag purposes, so it would cost $13 million using last year's numbers (this year would be slightly more). That is the reason why guards never get tagged.
