I believe so cause they all have been so far.

Plus, we don't have Steve and we're known for playing down to competition at the worst possible moments.

Hurns, Robinson and Bortles will be very hard to stop.

Yup.. Was begging us to get Robinson back in that draft... Exactly what we needed and still need

Predict is more proper :P. Anywho, yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if this game comes to the wire again....

I swear, if we had one more playmaker on defense or Suggs back.... We'd win another three games or so.....

I want us to win this game. Losing here would be a big blow to our confidence. These guys still believe they can make the playoffs, lets hope at least we can carry something positive over to next season.

They do!  And, I must admit that I felt a little something watching coach Harbaugh's media address a few hours ago.

I did as well, it seems Harbs and the guys believe they have a chance and just aren't saying this for team morality.

BTW, we've been quoting each others posts a lot recently, I think you're cool :-)

Good WR's too bad Bortles sucks. But hey, we've been making bad QB's look like pro bowlers this year. Edited by Cillmatic

Well, this is an "opinion" driven board and we all have our own to express regardless of others agreement to them or not. So much respect to you and yours as well.

Unlike most here I couldn't care less about these other teams and how they perform...my focus is on my team...the Baltimore Ravens and how they perform! Sure, I know the records of our upcoming opponents and know that they all have lost games as well but to hell with them. Let's focus on the Ravens! The Ravens went up against a "supposedly" horrible Raiders team and lost...right? And, then they went up against another "supposedly" horrible team with a horrible record in the Browns...at home! What was the outcome? They lost! But not only did they lose...they lost AFTER being up 21-9 at one point! See, stuff like that is very telling and can't be so easily dismissed in my view. Besides, we keep hearing about the same old issues week in and week out about the Ravens demise in these games that I won't bring up in this conversation.

My issue is that this present Ravens team...up to this point....8 weeks in....have not put together a solid, dominating or convincing performance in their lowly 2 wins to make me even remotely think that they will magically become feared juggernauts within the next 8 games...the home game included! That's just where I'm at with this right now.

What are the givens? The Ravens have been in every game that they lost! Kool! What is the common denominator in those losses? The Ravens!

Who said the Raiders were horrible? They're actually pretty darn good. I had us losing that game since the schedule came out.

Divisional games are always tough and the Browns always play us close. Don't forget after going up 21-9 we lost Dumervil, 4 CB's, starting safety, didn't have SSS, etc...

And as easy as it is to point out the bad losses - without a bad Flacco pick 6 we beat the one loss Broncos.

We held a late 4th qtr lead over the undefeated Bengals and should have won.

Yes, that also helps your point in that we did lose those games and those problems aren't isolated... They've been consistent and an epidemic on the season.

No one can deny the opinion that this Ravens team is not good. You're not wrong to doubt they can turn anything around. It's just an opinion that chooses to focus on only one side of the story.

The optimist fan is very similar in that he/she chooses to mostly focus on the other side of the story - every game close with 4th qtr leads, injuries, penalties, drops, etc... All things that are fixable and have been improving.

Also, our schedule thus far has been BRUTAL. It gets much easier from here in terms of home games and travel as well as strength of opponents.

I'm choosing to focus on the potential because I'd rather enjoy the football season and hang on to something positive, a reason to continue cheering and believing. And it's not homerism - there are legitimate reasons to believe this can be turned around.

Playoffs are a long shot as we all know... But if there's a 2-6 team to make history it's this one. I've never seen a team lose 6 closer games. We're getting some pieces back.

Urban will be a big boost for this front 7. I feel it. Batting passes, generating inside rush and will give us McPhee like piece that can play inside, outside in 4 man fronts, can stand up and play OLB too... He'll be a guy we move around to create favorable matchups and I think will be the key to us getting pressure without having to send extra guys.

We could get news that Pitta's going to play. That decisions coming Wednesday one way or another.

I've got a gut feeling that Perriman is going to play at Miami and is going to prove his value this year down the stretch. I think he will show the potential to be a #1 guy.

And most importantly I think Joe is finally getting comfortable in Trestmans offense. I feel like were going to finally get a consistently good Flacco from here on out.

Were going to win the games we should (Jax, Miami, Cleveland, KC), the Bengals will have things locked up and we'll win that.

The 3 toughest games imo are the Rams, Seahawks and Steelers.

The Rams game is the key game in how we'll finish the season. If we win that I think we rattle off 4 straight - and momentum is a crazy thing... Win those 4 and get guys back and then who knows what can happen.

Lose that Rams game and it's a rocky road. But as Bean said... Everyone remaining on the schedule sans the Bengals has been absolutely terrible at times. No one strikes fear... And frankly I know we don't strike fear in them either.

But even at 2-6 were only a play here, cleaning up a mistake there from having beat everyone. Every other team has been down right beaten silly multiple times this season.

Let me put it this way - I think were 10x more likely to finish this stretch 6-2 than 2-6 again. And in this AFC.... 8-8 just might grab that last wild card.

Very true, but we're in a unique situation right now in that at least record-wise we're eye-to-eye with Jacksonville.

I think that helps buck the trend because we know we can't drop a single game if we want to keep playoff hopes alive... And I think the team will be extra motivated to prove that we aren't your typical 2-6 team. We're not on level terms with Jax.

That being said - Bortles, Robinson and Hurns are dangerous. Yeldon can get it going too.

But I think the difference is that Jax accepts they are 2-6 and this is a building block year. They accept the playoffs are out of the question.

We don't accept it and truly believe we will make the playoffs still - or will at least control our part of the equation.

It's a must win game for the Ravens. It's just another game for Jax who'd probably rather the higher draft pick than to scratch and claw for 6 wins.

Blood n guts!!!

This one's for SSS, 38-23 Ravens

Defense gets 2 turnovers and 3-4 sacks and no Ravens get hurt (feel like I should be drunk typing that) lol

Like I stated in multiple other threads, the Ravens are going to go on a semi run and end up around 7-9 or 8-8. They will miss the playoffs and get a middling draft pick.

People talking about a top 5 draft pick is laughable. Playoffs, at this present time, is also laughable.

Can we please get some defensive turnovers? Like CJ get a pick or something?

Ikr, normally breaking records sounds amazing....but we are doing it in the wrong categories this year. Hopefully the Cowboys will claim it though, and we can get some game changing turnovers go our way, we'll need it.

Ravens will finish the year something like 4-12, 5-11. Do a nice sweep of players n coaches n come back really strong next year. Just forget about this season for now. Personally I am rooting for the Panthers to take it all.

IMO, no. I still think we have to win out.

And as much of a low percentage winning out is, we would still need help from about 5 others teams losing 3 or 4 of their next 8 games.

Edit: There's actually 7 teams ahead of us, including the two wild card teams.

But we still wouldn't need three or four losses from them. They are all two games or less ahead of us in the loss column. We don't have to catch the fifth seed.

I highly doubt we will need ten wins to get in. I'm not saying I fully believe we will get in anyway, but I would pretty much guarantee 9-7 gets at least the sixth seed, and quite possibly worse.

I don't know. That Oakland loss hurts our chances of getting in at 9-7. It means they have to be worse, we won't own a tie breaker over them unless there are a bunch of other teams at 9-7 and crazy things happen.
