[News] Steve Smith Leaves Chargers Game With Foot Injury

29 posts in this topic

Tough blow for steve. Does look like an Achilles injury. I got to vent a little. Why the heck are we still shotgun snapping in field goal range, with a center who clearly struggles with it. They all out blitzing when we go shotgun because they know the ball is floating.

Get well SSS. If you were to look up heart in the dictionary it should have the name Steve Smith SR as the definition. Guy is a true Raven.

Nothing more heartbreaking to me all season than to see SSS get injured. Such a warrior. SSS is 1 of my favorite Ravens of all time. This injury is devastating for SSS....and for the fans in Baltimore who love him. This man is the epitome of what it means to play like a Raven. Thoughts and prayers with you SSS.

would really love to see butler at some point. really hope that smith senior considers giving us another year and for oz and co to draft some serious playmakers. nobody in the head office should be happy with the terrible play that has been the ravens this season

It's official. Ruptured Achilles. Even in victory we lose.

Proud of our guys though and just hope that wasn't the last time we see Steve smith sr on the feild.

I pray the Warrior known as Smith sr...is alright... It'll make this victory taste a lot better.

I loved the deep shots take advantage of Joes arm,Givens,SR,Juice etc..

Also 12 rushes to 5 passes in 4th.. Looked like someone got the memo... Thats why we wound up winning, balamce came back... Not 70/30 pass to run ratio. Gotta stay committed to run 20 plus runs every game.

After the bye.itd be nice to see PITTA play

Steve will next season. I don't think it will settle with him to go out injured. If he's physically able, then he'll play. IMO. Congrats on top 10.

Tricky thing is he was only with us for a season and a half but in that season and a half he was on fire from start to finish. I know the tenure with us may not be there for our Ring of Honor but if they ever asked fans for votes on it I'd be a solid yes vote.

Who will be our #1,#2 and #3 going forward Harbs?

Aiken, Givens and committee for 3rd. Some Ross some Brown some and some FA acquisition to fill SSS roster spot.

I feel the same, and hope so...if that's what he wants I'm all for it too.

When I saw him go down and look in terrible pain I was screaming at my screen for him to (self-censored) Ice up! But knew it was bad when he walked off without showing his face. At least he got to the 10th spot, but hope he reconsiders the retirement. This would be a bad way to finish a career like that. They can go have a beer with Sizzle and plan out their comeback.

As a Raven fan first and Panther fan second I have watched Smith for years. I would hate that play to be his last. Get well Steve and come back next year, you are a good leader for young receivers.

Two of the great Ravens warriors, one on D, Suggs and one on O, Steve Smith Sr, lost to torn Achilles injuries. Ironically the #1 and #2 best players on our entire team! We must figure out a way to overcome!

Huge blow...need to see if anybody learned how to play like a raven from SSS, I sure hope some of his essence rubbed off on these guys left....fight for every yard, play at full speed, give 110% on every play, and study your asset off!

It tears me to shreds to have witnessed SSS tear his Achilles. Things didn't go the way we expected last season or this season. SSS, there is enough time for 2 more seasons. Help is on its way. It's near. I don't care about this win today. We need to build and reach the ultimate goal.

could it be m & t turf causing achilles injuries?

I'd rather say it was that defensive player that grabbed Steve by the ankles maybe?..
