Bengals waive WR Greg Little

58 posts in this topic

Bengals activated Vontaze Burfict off of the PUP and waived Greg Little.  He's been pretty silent since 2014 and went from the Browns to the Bengal, to the Raiders then back to the Bengals.  He recorded only 69 yards last season and hasn't played this season.  At 6'2/220 with 4.5 speed he has the tools to be a decent #2, BUT it appears he's been unwilling to play on special teams and might have somewhat of an attitude.

Anyone think the Ravens would benefit from him claiming him?  His salary for 2015 is ($745k.  Given that he was claimed and waived by the Raiders could he possibly clear waivers to avoid losing a comp pick?  Is he simply worth the roster spot?

I don't know. His hands are very questionable.

Players subject to waivers and those signed after June 1st don't count against compensatory selections.

We'll see what happens...dude has been a flop for the most part.

But I'd say he's got to be better than Marlon Brown at this point.

We're to the point where we're thinking of the possibility of Greg Little? Yeah, says a lot about the season and the state of the WR group.

He actually looked good in the preseason but I still don't know whether it'd make sense. He put worth some awful seasons in Cleveland.

This comp pick tunnel vision is nonsense. Ozzie will shy away from a potential breakout pro bowl caliber player for a cheap salary over a comp pick??!! Ridiculous!! To even consider this loser says how bad the WRs are!! The WRs that should have been considered are Sanders and Lafell but they cost comp picks!! Such tunnel vision senile thinking. And I am actually catching myself thinking if this guy will be an upgrade over Brown\Aiken.

When Sanders and Lafell were free agents The Ravens for the most part were missing that tough /intimidating receiver that Boldin bought to the team for past three years. Sanders and Lafell are good players but I will take Steve Smith over them for what The Ravens really needed on offense. Neither of those guys bring that same intensity or fire that Steve Smith brings to the offense .

Lafell is very tough and fierce after the catch and a terrific blocker I was suggesting sign both. Lafell was cheap

Lafell may be very tough and fierce but he's not  Steve Smith at all. I don't think The Ravens had the cap space at the time to sign both. Keep in mind they not only  signed  Steve Smith that year but re-signed Jacoby Jones as well. The Ravens haven't had alot cap space  and it's no  telling maybe they did have interest in Lafell but Lafell choose to go with The Patriots instead.

I can see Harbs in his press conference now. "He has a lot of talent and he's just going to make this team so much better". Then the first game he drops all his passes.

i liked Greg Little in 2011 draft. He seem like a Anquan Boldin clone in college but with more speed to beat you deep. The issue for him has always been his hands in The NFl.

Ohhhhhh.....so now injury is an excuse when it supports your thesis.  I thought it was your contention that Perriman was a bust for playing one less game this year due to injury.

Silly me for thinking a supposed Ozzie level wannabe gm, who has dope connections within the organization that feeds him amazing inside information down to DeCosta's five favorite breakfast cereals and that Ozzie goes to bed wearing this gurus name on his boxers.  Pardon me for thinking he would spot the hypocrisy that he bemoans to everyone about everyone in his own statements that the hypocrisy is so well represented.

Again I apologize for my outburst....

we dont need anymore dropped passes and i think at some point he was the worst when it came to dropped passes.

if you like to torture flacco and give people more ammo to continue their get rid of flacco comments he would be the right guy though.

Honestly right now our WR and DB positions are very questionable. As far as the WR position with exception of SSS we don't have any viable week to week starters and we don't even know what Perriman can do in the NFL or if he is going to be as fragile as a light bulb. It would almost be safe to say we need to address both the WR and DB positions with multiple picks for each position in the draft next year along with a serious pass rusher to take over for Suggs in the future. I really hope Suggs is good to go next season but we do need to fill for the future even if he is back to the Sizzle we all know.

Since we are out of receivers I'd say pick him up.

I remember a year where he made some great plays for Cleveland. He dropped some balls too, but our guys do that.
