People don't understand that these deep passes take time to build an understanding between the WR and the QB. It's not like they always instantly build chemistry. It takes time for a WR and QB to build that chemistry. We just traded for Givens a couple weeks ago.

A 5'9" receiver who is 36 year old and dealing with injuries to his back & knee. 

 

And that second year tight end is raw as hell as a receiver.  He's proving his case in the receiving game through sheer toughness and tenacity, but he was never a receiving threat coming out of the draft, he is very raw as a route runner.

 

So yeah, we're EXTREMELY limited in the red zone threats department.

Webb has always sucked

Good first season but yea, since his first injury he hasn't been the same. Just seams like our CBs are playing off too much, LBs aren't picking up cross routes, no pass rush, on and on. IMO, when ya got that many problems on one side of the ball you look at the coaching and game calling = Deano.

People rag on Flacco for just throwing jump balls, but let's be honest, that's pretty much what Rivers is known for. Rivers might be better than Flacco, but we're just splitting hairs here.
