Suggs nowhere to be found?

Not really an issue. My guess would be that he was or is still on crutches or in a boot, and most teams have policies where injured players with crutches/boots aren't allowed on the sidelines.

Much ado about nothing.

are just going to find a reason to bash every player on our roster?

Agreed, if we are losing games because a player suffering a second achilles injury is not on the sidelines, then we are in more trouble than I thought.

Yeah we need the players on the field to play better

Preston has always hated Suggs. This is just typical Preston crap.

I don't see it that way!

It was a simple piece that addressed what some of us in here are wondering.  While I definitely understand if Suggs decided not to come around the team to work on rehabbing and getting healthy to make another run with the team next season; it'd also be nice imo to see him on the sidelines teaching, instructing and encouraging his fellow players.  No, it's not necessary or mandatory for him to be...just would be nice to see!

Nice to see for who though? Just the fans? Does anybody else outside of the fans and a writer who's never liked him care one bit whether he's on the sidelines or not?

If players started complaining about this, then MAYBE I'd start to care.

There's coaches already there who are paid to coach, instruct, and encourage. That's not Suggs job.

so whats the point in hiring position coaches if we rely on players to do that?

These threads are getting ridiculous.  What season ending IR players spend the whole season on the sidelines?  Or even spend time on them weeks after the fact?  Brady tore his ACL in 08 and wasn't on the Pats sidelines.  Peyton wasn't anywhere to be found for the Colts in 2011.  Players that will come back to the team might hang around.  Players actually injured and done for the season rarely do

Not that I think this is a big deal or anything, but has anybody notice how Preston is usually the only one getting quotes from Ozzie?

I'm most certainly not a Preston fan - I generally don't like his snide ways of insulting players - but I also do have a strong belief that there are times when he carries the water for the FO (mostly Ozzie).  When Ozzie wants a message out - like "Hey, Siz, how about returning my damned calls!" - it's usually Preston who delivers them.  Whether it's about players wanting new contracts or the like, I have no doubt that Ozzie on occasion using Preston - via the media - to deliver messages.

Much like Preston's tweet today about Eugene Monroe.

For real?

Yeah. Suggs needs to be on the sidelines. Joe needs to play catch on his free time too so....

God this team needs some victories. Theses threads are getting silly.

I believe Vince wilfork did?? Does anybody realize if the ravens did not trade up for Kyle Boller the ravens very well could have drafted Vince?? And if not for drafting Kyle Boller the ravens could very well of drafted Aaron Rodgers. And there were decision makers that wanted quite vigorously to pursue Drew Bree's over McNair. WOW, look what I am talking about!! the ravens do need some wins or fireworks. Come on ravens trade for a #1 WR and at least lose scoring points in exciting games.

Interesting, y does he hate the sizz??

Preston hates Sizz because he has a history of showing up to camp out of shape, he hasn't been a great leader, and his off the field persona has, at times, been less than stellar.

Not my job to offer solutions. Identifying ravens problems is better than applauding mediocre players like they are all pros on a 1-6 team. You don't like what I write, hit the ignore button.;)

its good entertainment, you just completely derail threads.  Going from suggs not being on the sidelines to we passed up aaron rodgers.  so did 23 other teams...but whatever floats your boat.

It is stuff anyone who ever looks at previous drafts knows as well. I bet next we will hear about how we should have taken Antonio Brown over Harewood. Or maybe we should not have drafted Sergio Kindle. Oh we also do not have a good defense and we have a big time weakness at WR outside SSS.

On another note, I am curious who this #1 WR is who we should trade for.

Just so you guys know, Preston is a San Diego Chargers fan. I can't explain details on how I know this, but I know it for a fact. Just a little tidbit that doesn't have to do with Suggs but it's interesting info anyway

Lol fair enough. I just saw Preston on Sunday, actually. I really want to come out and ask him questions but it would probably be useless so I don't bother.
