[News] How John Urschel Became A Receiver

The big guy almost had an NFL catch. Maybe we'll use him again on offense. Either way, he's definitely a good blocker and fills in for our o-line admirably.

Even the news is 1-5 my goodness. A tackle elgible play. We've seen the Fridge, Big Wilfork, and JJ Watt do amazing newsworthy things as lineman on offense. Now is the time for a few Where are they now articles. Where's Kelly Gregg? What is the Goose up to?

I really hope they give Daniel Brown from JMU a chance.

The limited time he played in preseason ,he made plays.

The way this season is going ,lets see what we have for next year.

Double whammy to have this play pulled illegally against us in the AFC Championship and then have it taken away LEGALLY by another poor judgment call by the NFL Referees. With so much money on the line on each play, either fine/fire the referees or allow penalties to be reviewed.

they should start marcel jones at LT and see what he can offer. we need a mauler like ogden at LT to open up the running game and give flacco more time. monroe needs to get things together

Apparently the referees will not get penalized because it "did not change the outcome of the game." 2 reasons that response is stupid (1) The NFL regularly broadcasts shows/documentaries where people consistently state it is a game of inches yet your refs took away 10 YARDS near the end zone in a one possession/score game...(2) By that admission, instead of correcting issues up front, the NFL will wait until any referee blunder actually causes a major shift in the game which could cost a team a championship...makes sense...

It bums me out the Patriots get away with everything. That's the same play they ran on us. We use it and it get called back. I don't know what you do anymore. If it's not the ref making us look like a High School Football, it's some of this questionable play calling on both sides of the ball. Then they wait until after the game to say they made wrong call. Man please save all of that, the game is over what the hell difference does it make what you do to that ref.

Teams will look at that play when they get ready to play the Ravens and anytime Urschel comes in and taps the ref and lets him know he is eligible, the opposing team has to put someone on him to cover him whether he goes out or not, he has now because something that other teams have to prepare for. Now are they going to spend hours studying Urschel, no, probably just a couple minute. But other teams now know the Ravens will try anything now which makes preparing for the Ravens more difficult and for the Ravens fans with a losing season, it makes the season a little more enjoyable with plays like that.

Refs are taking center stage. Hate it. Its really making the game unwatchable. You can't enjoy the outcome of a play without the pregnant pause waiting for the inevitable flag (especially if you are the Ravens). Don't give me B.S. about player safety, either. Anyone seen the league-wide injury report? If anything, there seem to be MORE injuries now than in the past.

Used to gamble on football. We called games like this, "fixerini".

ps. Notice how on most spreads the Ravens were 8 to 9 point underdogs. Funny how Arizona missed their extra point try. Vegas pushes on 8 and wins on all masses that gave the points.....

The refs getting it wrong and negating 7 yards was bad enough but had that play ended up in a TD this would've been massive black eye to the Ravens and the NFL.

These refs simply cannot know all the rules back to front and its pretty embarrassing to watch when a coach or player takes them to school. And its only getting worse. The NFL is going to have to either start simplifying the rules OR start using more sensor based technology and fewer officials to prevent human error. And, YES, the technology is here today to make the latter possible in season or two.
