[News] Home Stretch Provides Chance For Ravens Rebound

54 posts in this topic

Homestretch... Mink, right on! Around the far turn into the stretch it's Man o' War, Citation and Secretariat neck and neck. Wait a minute some one forgot to let loose the Ravens.

This article's headline just sets up Ravens fans for an even bigger let down. Say what you want, but when your 1-6 I doubt home field has anything to do with it. If that was the case, we would have at least beaten the Browns.

Im done giving this team excuses. Its pretty plain and clear that this squad we have (plagued by injuries) cannot get it done. Point blank this isn't our season.

We will be back to top form by next season with some new additions and vets. (hopefully)

Just play with some heart and urgency...Watching Will Hill destroy that tight end and watching Buck Allen absolutely run over that cornerback to the ground on Monday Night brought back the memories of how we use to play.. That Raven physicality is a beautiful thang

i think the Ravens turn it around this weekend. I beleive they will beat SD, though it may be better if they lost, they could get guy like Bosa DE from Ohio State or Kendiche from Ole Miss. But this team is too good to not win at least 4 or 5 this year.

You fans and your number one draft pick. I think your "In Ozzie we trust" motto is worthless and I would not get your hopes up on any player Ozzie picks.Just look at the last 6 years.

I just watched the video about "Joe throwing off back foot too much". In my opinion I just think that he didn't execute well on that play as well as the other times this season where he has thrown those INT's that just make you go "Uh?". If Flacco could just maintain composure on those plays he could easily be up there in the top 4 QB's in the league

A bad team deserves to be booed by it's fans. Not because they "aren't real fans" or "don't support the team", but because if a team is going to be as limp and listless and play with as little urgency or discipline as the 2015 Ravens have, then they absolutely deserve to be booed out of their own stadium. If they want strong cheers and fan support, start playing like you make millions, and actually want to win games.

They wont rebound from anything home or road, unless they play Pitta this week going forward. Just not enough playmakers on either side of the ball. 1 short on wither side from being winning team in most these game. If Suggs is healthy were 5-2, 6-1.. Well he aint coming back...Pitta is a offensive playmaker...add him and add victories

A nine game win streak will get a wildcard with a Lil help of course! Send Marlon on Triple " S " routes and see will he get into a groove, some of his routes are small and Joe hits him too low send Marlon long and on post patterns stop and go's haven't seen anything like these plays 15 plus yard routes not in the middle of Defenses where he can't use his size and speed! Red me up like usual but he isn't being used correctly! Oh yeah Givens is a threat and Joe GOTTA keep a eye on him also! I almost had THREE Championships last season with my Ravens, Cavs and Buckeyes! Would have been very nice! Smh

Crowd noise will be very important in this game against the Chargers as Rivers gets really flustered when he can't communicate. The Chargers offensive line is not good and they have also been hit hard with injuries there, in their WR and secondary corps. I hope Ravens Nation gets loud!

Yeah it does provide a chance, but a chance for what exactly?

Let's look at this realistically for a change and have Mink take off his pink glasses. Let's say there is a high chance of winning our home games (which I'm not convinced of considering how we've played so far) and look remaining schedule.

Our next 3 games are at home against SD, JAC and STL. Though SD is by no means a confident win, let's say we win all of those games and be 4-6. Then we'll visit CLE and MIA. Neither of those teams are below us and I'm going on a stretch here by saying we'll win one of them which will put us at 5-7. A loss to SEA and we're at 5-8. We MIGHT win against KC and be 6-8. I don't see us winning against PIT who should still be competing at that point, or against CIN at their home field. So in conclusion we'll be 6-10.

6-10 is my realistic prediction for us (even though I gave us couple of W out on a limb here). Why would we want to finish with that kind of a record?! It's not a secret that even a 10-6 record might not be enough to get a wild card spot. So even if we win all of our remaining games, we might fall short. So why should we want a 6-10 record?!

It'd give us an average draft pick around 10-12th spot, at which point the best players will most likely be gone in a weaker draft like 2016 is projected to be. Why should we root for a better record, if the reality is we won't make the playoffs? Though mathematically there still is a chance and this team of ours will keep fighting, it'd be naive and childish to realistically hope that the ravens are going to the playoffs. It pains me that people say I'm not a real fan because I say things like that. But it's because I want what's best for this club in the long run.

In 12 months no one cares if we finished 2015 1-15, 3-13, 6-10 or 8-8. What will be remembered is that we weren't in the playoffs and weren't competing in January. What also will matter in 12 months is whether we'll have Joey Bosa in Ravens uniform running around chasing down Big Ben, or we'll be praying that Tre'Davious White will be the solution for this Swiss cheese of a secondary we've been trying to fix for years.

I'd much rather have a bad season and get a difference maker, who this team desperately needs, from the draft, rather than have an average season, not make the playoffs and get a player whose abilities will be a coin toss at best.

So I hope I'm forgiven by this community, and I'll still scream from joy when the Ravens make a great play Sunday, but if we'll fall short yet again in the end, I won't be heartbroken anymore. Not at all. I'll actually be a little bit glad.

I have to agree, I don't think the Ravens will win more than 3-4 games this year and playing at home is probably not going to turn thing around much.  I do think if Suggs was playing we would be 5-2 or 4-3, his presence on the field would make a difference.

I know that all the articles lately keep stating that we could have a much better record if we made a play or two, but that is what good teams do and right now we are not that good.  We have been decimated by injuries and somewhat by our past success by having to let player after player leave for more money elsewhere.  I would really like to see someone step up and become a leader on the team and have this team play with some heart.

Just win two more games, please: Steelers and the Bengals. Should still be good enough for a top 10 pick, and maybe set one of those two back a notch in their playoff run.

Winning at this point only hurts our draft. To think that we make the play offs is outrageous....and to think that we can make the play offs and beat a play off team is funnier than the thought of actually making it. We need a high draft pick and we need to build in FA after this dead money clears for next season. These is no need to panic. This team just isn't good enough this year.

The Ravens just wanted to see how loyal the fans were and alot of them failed "miserably" now they are gonna rise to the top! Nine game win streak starts Sunday! Minor setback for a Major comeback LETS GO! Oh yeah I still say one more INT let Matt play still not convinced Marlon is done in Bmore he's not being used correctly for his size and speed! OK fire away with the red button or negativity so you can get points Lol but I would send him up top with the size he won a game once with his size in the redzone back of the endzone hmmmmmmm where the Ravens are always coming up SHOTE! LETS GO I don't give up like a lot have already talking about the draft already! SMH what gap to RELENTLESS or that just for the players and the real fans?!

I think we've already ruined this season. Let's do what we can to improve our team for next season. I never thought i would say this, but every loss we suffer this season gives us a better draft choice next year and better access to the best blue chippers coming out. Just because I'm accepting reality and wanting what's best for our team in the long run doesn't make me any less of a fan than anyone else. This season has already been lost. I hope we don't hurt next year's chances to get Much better More quickly. If you really care about your team, sometimes you have to have a little vision. Suffer now, celebrate later. It would be different if we actually did have a chance for the playoffs And wouldn't embarrass ourselves by backing into them and getting pounded by the first good team we played, read the first round. Please, just have a little vision.
