[News] Who's Practicing, Who's Not vs. Chargers

32 posts in this topic

Personally, I am tired of reading about Perriman. Out for 3 months because of a " nagging knee injury". No real explanation. I don't have an answer about what to do with him but perhaps IR would be an option and get the roster spot to someone else. Three months reflects a serious injury to me.

Read that article OzBis re: Perriman.Someone is not doing their job and it's not only with this pick. It may be time for new and fresher ideas. The drafts in the last few years, with a few exceptions, have been abysmal. It eventually happens to the best of them. It may very well be time to move on re: FO & Scouting Dept.

"He still has a shot" You mean he is taking a roster spot. Another first round bust. Heck ravens could have taken him in the 2016 draft.

OzzieBisciotti what an article! His knee just goes out walking around the mall? Ozzie has lost his mind. This kid will not make it in the nfl. I"ll put money on that.

You know what. This is just one bad year, I believe that with Biscotti & Ozzie running the party, we WILL BE better and BACK with a strong defense!!! Oh YEA I get hyped just typing it!. Nobody saw this coming though

Another member posted that article when he sustained the injury. Ozzie and receivers don't mesh. That became very apparent when he traded for Terrell Owens and he declined. Something is a mist within the Organization and it's business practices. I also wonder if the Scouting service they utilize is on the take as well. Steady misses in some departments are a constant. Even if they wanted to keep the same scouting service, I would have thought they'd add some competition for them as they could easy afford to hire another. There is no cap on that. lol

At the least i would change the receiver scouts. And raid the steeler's, pats, bronco's closet's.

Perriman should've been flagged by our scouting department/ Oz: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/ucf-knights/os-ucf-breshad-perriman-nfl-draft-0430-20150429-story.html I found this search on google- you'd think we would've at least googled his past medical condition

How many times do they have to explain that OSD only affects adolescents? Ozzie already knew about it, and it has absolutely nothing to do with his PCL sprain. A doctor has been quoted on this site saying that Perriman's condition no longer affects him, and a google search will show you that once someone is finished growing, OSD does not affect them anymore. Perriman's father had the same condition and played 10 years in the NFL. It's not that hard to check the facts before posting.

Obviously, Perriman has not worked out as planned, but look at all the other hyped receivers taken in the first round. The only one who has had any impact is Amari Cooper.

Monroe is the softest LT in the league. Not only is he always hurt, but he shows very little tenacity and toughness when he is in the game. It's really telling when he is on the backside of a running play (to the right). He just leans into the cut-off block, and inevitably defenders get penetration to disrupt a running play or play action pass. Hurst has no where near the talent Monroe does, but at least I see signs of effort and want-to. I wouldn't mind if Ozzie invested a 1st rounder in a real left tackle.

Has anyone at all been happy with the way Monroe has played since we signed him last year? I didn't think so. So, now, I'm going to push forward this idea just one more time. I would like to see whether KO could be a better LT than Monroe. KO, I believe, played LT all through college so he's experienced at it. Urschel, I'm pretty sure, could be ready to be a starter at LG. What better time to try this, not just in practice, but with game experience? If this does, in fact, strengthen our OL, it puts a whole new perspective on how much we want to try to keep KO. Yes, a LT costs more than a LG, but if KO shows us that he Can be a good LT, can anybody say that we don't need one? We really do need to upgrade that position from Monroe. He's Very soft, often injured, and weak when he's on the field. Let's face it, he's been a huge disappointment. With this season lost, really, the rest of our games should be all about player evals and questions like this. We need to know who we want to try to rebuild around and who we need to part ways with. I'd really like to see how this would turn out. KO plays with that mean streak that you like to see in the guy defending Joe's blind-side. I think we should see if this would be an upgrade or not.

No way to cut Monroe, we already have so much dead money. It would be so dumb. Please say we learned something from this year.

Perriman has been a huuuuuuge disappointment so far. There is something wrong with him, and im sure its more than a "nagging knee injury". Its week 8, and he isn't even in practice yet. Our last few drafts have been extremely disappointing.

Yes, it has been dissapointing that Perriman hasn't been able to get on the field, but that hardly means it was a bad long-term decision. Not to mention that Carl Davis and Nick Boyle have looked really good as rookies. Last year we drafted CJ Mosley, Timmy Jernigan, and Crockett Gilmore... That was dissapointing? I feel like the only big dissapointment recently has been Matt Elam, but I'd hardly say that "Our last few drafts have been dissapointing."

This Perriman situation gets weirder by the minute. I think Harbaugh is clueless about him and a few other things too while we are on the subject of his cluelessness.

Let's face it -- even with all of our starters healthy, we are not a good team this year.

Idk , I think if Brent Urban & Suggs were both in, and if Perriman was what we thought he would be, this team would have that edge to at least come out victorious in most of our losses this season. Perriman potentially could have added that deep threat this offense needed to stretch the field and keep DB's at bay. And even given that, our offense still manages to stay in games.

When you talk about things that make or break you, I think Suggs going out week 1 really broke this team. It caused a chain reaction. We lost that veteran edge rusher, who made it easier for guys like Dumervil to get penetration, and also Suggs clogged up at least two lineman everytime he was on the field.

Also Brent Urban was making noise during training camp and had huge expectations with his size. Although I am losing faith in Urban because it is his second season in a row (in as many years) of missing an entire season due to an injury in training camp.

Can't Urban possibly come back soon? He was given the IR with possibility to return label, but I forget how many weeks he has to be out (6, like for PUP?). Be nice to see some fresh blood out there (not from our injuries anymore)!

After the bye week (Monday basically) is the soonest he can start.

I've heard nothing on his status, so my assumption is he won't be ready by then.
