[News] Eisenberg: Not Too Late To Prove Ravens Are Winners

If we end up in the top 5 draft pick area, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Ozzie trades it for additional picks later (could use more bodies).

LOL,,,, UHHHHH I'm pretty sure its to late their Eisenburg--- can't you feel the excitement from the fan base and the energy from all the players on the field! We finally did it! 1-6, (should be 0-7 if Pitt had a kicker) This team is a train wreck that Denzel Washington can't even stop

I totally agree. Its not too late to prove Ravens are winners. Eisenberg. Continuously losing by 1 possession or less.

The problem is they are missing 1 playmaker on either side of the ball!!! SUGGS aint coming back this year...

Next option.. Play PITTA immediately. Stretch the field great receiving TE who can be a slot WR. Play him now.

With the addition of Pitta, this team is good enough to lose by 1 possession or less every week here on out.

Put the playmakers on the field...and in a couple weeks..if you run off 3 straight activate play Perriman

So unforeseeable that my hopes would dwindle down from Super Bowl aspirations to settle for putting a touch of "lipstick on the pig" for the season.  Love and support the Ravens whether we are winning or losing but would like to at least regain respectability.

beat seattle cincy and the steelers and i am happy. that will give us 4 wins and still have a top 5 pick to reload. this is our last year of the ridiculous injury bug. next year with the right coaching changes and personnel  moves we return to dominance

Ok, lets be fair. The 1-6 Ravens have beat themselves more than anyone else beating them. Stupid penalties, stupid passes, and a complete lack of coverage on defense, has led to their demise. Making excuses doesn't fix the problems. Our draft over the last three years has been downright awful, especially in the early rounds, when you MUST know what you are doing. Only Moseley has proven worth there. Elam stinks. Perriman is not a first round pick, and now, before he has done anything, he is "injured", mysteriously taking a lot more time than say 36 year old Steve Smith, who plays with cracked ribs. The bottom line is that good teams find ways to win close games and bad teams find ways to lose them. No excuses.

I have seen improvements in both the offense and defense. If you consider with all the young players and the new coaches, not only on offense, but we lost a number of defensive coaches, most notably, a new secondary coach. To me the point of watching a football game is not whether you win or lose (no this isn't a cliché) to me it is how good is the game, and was your team competitive. I have been frustrated by every game but I watched every game to the last play because until the last play, in a number of games, we were still in the game. Flacco is trying to develop Gillmore to be his safety blanket, but hasn't been able to make that big hookup (its just a matter of time) and Smith is his only reliable wide out and you cant throw to him at the end of the game, he is triple teamed. We are getting better with every game and maybe this game coming up, maybe the one after the bye, the Ravens will put it together and once they have the momentum, they could be hard to stop. The Ravens have always been a second half of the season team and had their best runs going into the playoffs and in the playoffs. I don't see 9-6 but 8-8 or 7-9 may be possible, considering, just to get to 7-9 will mean we finished 6-3. That's a good way to go into the offseason, salvage some pride, and have some momentum going into next year. I have not stopped drinking the purple kool-aid but I cant drink enough to make me believe we can get to 9-7.

I really Never thought that I would Ever say something like this, but I'm not so sure that the more games we lose from here on out, the better for us in the long run. I think most of us would admit that we are probably in a rebuilding mode. Well, if that's the case, and I think that it is, it seems like the best thing we could do is to get All our players as many snaps as we can in order to best evaluate who we want to keep and try to build around and who we'd rather say goodbye to, especially the younger players. I think we should experiment a little too. KO at LT, when he's ready to play again, and Urschel at LG, would tell us if that would strengthen our OL, and also help us determine if we want to try to re-sign KO. I think we should move on from Monroe if possible. Every loss gives us a better draft choice in each round, making better players available to us and our rebuilding an easier task to get done. I'm Certainly Not saying that we should Try to lose, Heavens No. But, I think at this point evaluating and beginning this rebuild might be the more responsible and beneficial goal. I believe that we've got a lot of work ahead of us to get back to being the good, competitive team we've always been, and I submit to you that the earlier we get started, the better.

I don't really see this team take advantage of opponents. Like catch them with 12 men on the field; hurry up and catch them off-guard esp at the goal line; causing confusion etc. Somehow I think we became a content and took the pedal off the gas after the superbowl. Even as a fan, losing doesn't bother me much as it did before the superbowl. I am hoping that this hangover will subside in a couple of years and I can get back to being miserable again when losing.

i truly hope that ozzy and co have stressed to the scouts the importance that the coming draft picks will have on the team. beasts who will have an immediate impact are needed at pass rush, corner back and wide receivers. they should not expect to have such a high draft pick position again and they need to make the most of it.

Bill Parcells-" You are what your record says you are"-----That fact some people legit think we're a good football team, and blame dumb penalties, injuries, and defensive coverage as an excuse for why we're 1-6 is mind boggling. If you looked up a bad football team in the dictionary, thats what you're gonna find. We're a 1-6 football team, that is 2 fluke missed FG's away from 0-7. You think Brady and Billacheat and the Patriots are 6-0 for a reason? They lost Revis & Browner at CB in the offseason and still have a great defense--- why? BC their team has something to believe in and leadership. We have nothing, no spark what so ever. This season is a wash, I look forward to next year with BOSA from THE OHIO STATE.

Whatever the result may be, just go out there and play hard. Play with pride. Every team has a down season. It's all about how you respond the following season.

Hopefully Trestman is around for a few years to allow Joe to master his offense. Towards the end of the season I'm hoping Perriman can get some games in and get comfortable. I'm a big fan of Buck Allen and our TE's. We just some WR depth.

I expect Ozzie to draft all defensive players this offseason. Corner, Safety, Pass Rush, faster LB'ers ... All need to be addressed in a major way. Sadly, Pees may have to go. Sometimes the writing is just on the wall. We need some fresh new schemes.

With there being only 11 teams left with winning records at this point. I would say it is a reasonable thought that at least one team with a losing record will be making the playoffs. So it isn't impossible to still make the playoffs with a 10 - 6 or 9 - 7 records. But lets just win the next one and take it one game at a time.

It really doesn't matter if these are close losses or blowouts. There's really no way to sugarcoat a 1-6 record. This year we are what our record says we are- a team that doesn't know how to win. It sucks, but that's the reality of it.

No one wants to hear the word "rebuilding"... But, we should use the rest of the season to "rebuild" the nucleus of this team around the younger players. Since we won't go to the playoffs, the best path is to get good draft picks at the same time as giving a chance to potential future starters now.

I am not saying that we should lose on purpose - that teaches nothing. But, we should develop young players who could hopefully lighten the salary burden of others.

Or tank it... We all know the talent on this team is better than 1-6. Bizarre events lead us to be 1-6. Ravens won't be held down long... Getting high draft picks of young blood may be just what they need. They need to get a pass rusher or a wide receiver high in the draft. Sign a couple veteran cornerbacks...

Flacco better cut his 28 mill to 18 mill, if he wants any hope of bringing in any type of talent that will allow us to win. As we can see from this year we cannot rely on draft picks coming in and making differences. I feel so bad for SSr I wish some people on the Ravens understood this and stepped up their game. Lets hope that this next year's 1st rounder doesn't get injured. On a even more serious note why is it almost every NFLN commercial it has the Ravens being beaten in some way via Payton Manning throwing a long bomb on us or Flacco getting sacked by JJ Watt. Is this because we told on New England last year? Or am I the only one seeing this.

Man we are winners. This is just not our season. I was really down earlier this year, but at the end of the day, we are who we are. We have alot of things that went wrong this year, with injuries, dead money and having a lot of young talent. We can put blame on OZ for not keep boldin, or not making a trade in the offseason but for so many years hes made the right decision. I stand by OZ and believe that with the dead money coming off the books, and getting a high draft pick, that we will be a very strong team next year. The last thing i want is for us to win 5-6 games this year and get a pick closer to 10, i want a top 5 pick. Oz has picked some HOFers and probowlers with those kinds of picks.

AZ marked the first game this team played with any pride since week 1. We actually have an easy schedule this year, but failed to do anything with it because our leadership did not have everyone ready to play Raven football. Harbaugh, Trestman, Pees, Flacco, are all to blame. BTW, what went unnoticed in the AZ game is what an OUTSTANDING game Jerry Rosburg called for the special teams. He held one of the most dynamic returners in the game in check with some creative play calling, and also got a punt block. Koch and Tucker also deserve credit for their execution.
