Offense under Trestman

37 posts in this topic

I think we need to be less predictable, two runs up the middle, and then pass under pressure just doesn't work! We need to pass

on first down, when we run we need to follow up with play action, in the past Joe has done well passing while rolling out.

We have nothing to lose at this point, be more aggressive, both on offense and defense.

I see 3 things when watching Trestman's offense that are eerily similiar to Cam Cameron's back in the day.  They are:

Pre....

Dict....

Able....

If it's so predictable than being #8 right now on offense is that much better. He's done a decent job with what he has been given.  With more talent the offensive production has an uptick and more plays will be run.  He will be here next year as well.

Yeah, I am not surprised by our ranking. I don't think this offense is all that bad. No offense consistently scores points on every drive, although our offense is very inconsistent--especially in the red zone.

I feel like we need some more speed on offense and not just at WR. I think a Spiller or CJ2K type of RB paired with Forsett and Buck could be deadly and keep defenses off balance. We're so sluggish at times and it's like some of our players have weights in their cleats. If Ozzie got Trestman some actual playmakers besides a 36 year old WR with back problems then maybe we can finally see the most out of the offense, but as for now, I'm a Trestman fan because it's incredible what he and Flacco have done so far with the supporting cast that they have.

Like what I see thus far, actually unlike most people I want coaches to come in and implement their personal style. To often we have coaches come in and say we are going to do things like they have been doing, but whats the point in getting someone new. Sometimes I think we get a bit predictable, but thats only because I think Trestman is trying to please Harbs who is so gong ho on running playing smash mouth football, but sometimes you have to throw those quick passes to open up the run game etc.

Trestman is not as good as Kubiak(few are), but he's signfigantly better than either Cam or Caldwell.... We Ravens fans are just displeased because he's not a superstar coordinator. He has his crappy moments, mainly inside of two minuets, but he's done a pretty good job. I'm happy we found a happy medium. If you have the 8th total offense, and the only guy that has been consistently healthy for you not named Flacco is KAMAR AIKEN, then you're doing something right.

If you gave Flacco just one more good WR then this offense would be the least of our worries. We'll need to add maybe two next year when Steve leaves(one in the mid rounds in the draft and one in FA), but I'm okay with Trestman.

I agree with you, also think OC can only do so much, Flacco has three game losing interceptions this year, two of which were inside the 10 yard line, can't have that ( in relation to the two minute drill)
