[News] Crockett Gillmore, Joe Flacco Break Down Final Interception

It was not the best throw, but this is what JOE is freaking Dealing with!!! If thats Pitta thats a TD!! He leaping over the DB 99x out of 100, doing backflips whatever to catch that ball. Gilmore not that DUDE! 1 or two plays earlier he jumps over a defender makes a great play, then game on the line he sits there and does nothing.

Pitta better play this week. He will make the difference. We would have won easily with Pitta... Thats all were missing 1 playmaker on either side of the ball to change the game.

It wasn`t the best throw, cause Flacco was about to get crushed by an UNBLOCKED defender.

JohnMike...  you are correct.  He had two of them coming right at him; one on either side... and he had to get rid of the ball.

offense waits until 5 mins left in the game to open things up. every game now they wait and the playcalling is inconsistent. season is over so trestman and flacco should figure out what schemes work for the personnel that they have. get creative!!

def coord, cb, db, wr and o-line coaches must be fired during the bye week or after the season. i still have faith in trestman because i believe the offense will be better with a new o-line and wr coach and better receivers. fo cannot screw up on these low picks they will have and pass on players like diggs. LT OR OLB IN THE 1ST RD. im sure ozzie will trade the pick

From what I remember, it looked like Aiken was open underneath too, and could have fallen into the endzone, but Joe was under duress at the time and so had to take the one shot he saw. Easy the second guess now - should the Seahawks have gotten Lynch the ball on a certain play last year??

whats up with this stupid lob ball? NOBODY else in the league trys that garbage. And yes, there is a signifcant difference in a fade route lob as compared to Flacco's goofy, basketball alley oop crap. Flacco has to have world class touch just to get it close to the right spot. Just plant off your back foot and zip one high and hard... the size advantage is the fact that he is 50 LBS heavier and has so much body mass that theres no way the safety should be able to reach around Gillmore to make a play. lobbing the ball just lets every single defender in the area get in position to make a play. Worst case scenario flacco throws the ball through the hands of gillmore and everybody else and were sitting at third and goal not game losing INT, again...

Joe had no choice but to lob the ball, he was facing an all out blitz, the whole defense was coming fast and hard, he couldn't take the sack so he tried to let his 6'6" TE make a play on the ball and it didn't work. Also I think throwing the ball on first down would make a big difference.

When Kubiak makes it to the super bowl, lose and get fired for not being good enough make him the head coach.... You had success in your hands and decided to let a coach that doesn't teaches offense or defense run the team. 08-12 was defense and Flacco, last year was Kubiak, year before and now is what Harbaugh is. You're who you are when you have no help. All the other times we was the result of helpers.

Don't they work on these kind of things in practice? Obviously not, Joe throwing the ball in blind faith crossing his fingers hoping that it will work. If he would have thrown it out of the end zone at least they would have had one more shot at it.

In Denver, Crockett was running past Bruton, so it's time to lead him. On this one, Jefferson was hanging deep, so it's time to throw it in just into the end zone and let Crockett post-up and catch it while shielding the defender with his body. We did the exact opposite on each one, with predictable results.

Crockett had him boxed out. A simple dart to Crockett would have worked out, instead he lobbed it over his head and took him off his post/corner route.

cbrook1862, u mean to tell me that because Flacco has pressure coming at him that he cant zip a ball 6 YARDS on a line while fading away? I can do that, and I'm mediocre at best when it comes to throwing a football. Watch the highlight on NFL.com and tell me that Flacco HAD to lob it... nonsense, if he would have thrown a bullet pass to Gillmore thats a TD or an incomplete pass... throwing the lob pass is such an unnecessary risk to take with two downs left. Not Flacco's fault we lost at all, just wish he would get rid of that move

Flacco has to be the only quarterback with a rocket arm that throws like he has to throw it as high as he throws it long. He throws more rainbows causing underthrows, overthrows and interceptions than any strong armed qb in the league. Throw the ball and and hope is the offensive passing strategy. I don't believe we don't have the receivers and as frustrating as Flacco is I don't think he is the problem. People confuse Trestman and the numbers the offense put up as progress but Trestman did the same thing in Chicago and how did it turn out for them. I am on board with the fact that if we can dominate with virtually the same players with Kubiak as coach and we have the worst record in the history of the team with the same personnel as last year with Trestman as coach, then clearly the problem isn't the players. Trestman has called the same play to start the first and third quarters of the game the last two games. After starting those quarters with a pass to Juszczyk, by the time they did the same exact play for the fourth time in exactly the same scenario, Arizona was sitting there waiting. The last play to Gilmore, look familiar, same play that was the last play that was picked off in Denver. Lets keep calling plays that we know have a history of failing and losing games. If Kubiak was still here we are a .500 team right now. He had plays that Flacco could put his foot in the ground on a 3 step or 5 step drop and not be pressured. Trestmans calls put Joe in the line of fire. The defense is improving but the offense sucks as bad today as they did against Denver.

Joe constantly under throws wide open WRs and now this I'm sorry but I'm still ticked about throwing away our Super Bowl last season and I want Matt to start he will win his 1st start and I feel Marlon will benefit and some of the other WRs before they get released because of Joe's bad play! Joe is the only one playing bad that will not be cut, waived etc! Don't blame the O line, Pees and the Defense or WRs he making everyone look bad even Harbs! LET MATT START! Sorry Joe I had your back for years but it is what it is!

For all the fans who are lucky enough to be in M&T Bank Stadium this Sunday; CONGRATULATIONS!....for it's going to be a great day. Our hard working, leave their blood and guts on the field every game are coming home to a rousing (and I mean really rousing) standing ovation that will last for a loooong time. It's well deserved and they deserve no less. Our season now is to build for next year and be spoilers to some of our favorite nemesis...Steelers, Cincy etc. All of which will make the rest of the season enjoyable and well worth watching. Enjoy Sunday, it will be special.

Not to couch-coach, but don't we practice these situations? With the game on the line and an all-out blitz coming, shouldn't the coaches design a better play call than hailmary? It's not like it's 4th and goal. On top of it there was a penalty moving us back.

Pitta makes that PLAY! Pitta should play next week.

One playmaker on either side of the ball is the difference in this team being a playoff team and a top 3 pick.

The NFL is MEDIOCRE! More then half the league is. 500 or worse.

Bring Pitta back next week...

Win 3 straight at home... Bring back Perriman after that.

Shock the WORLD!!!! Make a playoffs as a WC

yeah joe and Crockett just haven't built that chemistry yet. It'll come.

I kinda wish joe would have just throw it to him immediately and let him try to bulldoze his way in. Could have been risky if he came up short- but that's a risk I would have taken considering the circumstances.

I've always defended Joe but he's making it tough. Can we have a comparison stat of game winning TD's to game losing INT's? I don't think that would be a stat ravens would post.
