Just Wondering What Bisciotti Really Thinks......

37 posts in this topic

probably wont like it but will let the guys in charge handle it.

after the season they will sit down and evaluate.

he seems to be a realistic down to earth person and not a dreamer expecting the team to be #1 in every category and go undefeated lol.

Probably deeply disappointed but realizes that sometimes you get dealt a bad hand and there will be drastic changes in the offseason. It's a lost year at this point, I feel like Steve has just hastily accepted that fact but is eager to get to work on what we can change going into next year.

I'm pretty sure he's pissed off because he's a fan who actually pays for this, although he makes money on it as well. I'm betting he'll step in when the time's right.

I imagine he's very frustrated but at the same knows this season is an anomaly. As a fan, that's how I'm looking at it. Being spoiled by success in this Harbs/Joe era also helps.

I'd be more interested to hear Ozzie's thoughts on the season so far. That'd be kind of cool if the GM did like a press conference during the season every once in awhile

he is hurting.  ravens arent doing too well as a business.  he spent good money and not alot of return on his investment this year.   name me one player that is even on top 20 jersey sales this year.   and any new player since sb win that is even on top 30 jersey sales.

horrible

I'm really wondering what Steve Bisciotti really thinks of this 1-6 start and team as a whole?

He is not happy. He would like to turn this around but the team is strapped against the cap because of bad contract structure and overall bad signings and the team is on the hook for eratic and declining players. Suggs and Dumervil are not going to be that dominant tandem next year at going on 34 and 35 yrs old. Jimmy is eratic and should not of been handed a contract so soon. Daryl Smith is going on 34 and a liability in some respects. Webb is now 30 with extensive injury history. Canty should not of been brought back. Pitta should never of been signed while on it. Considering Biscottis comments, i would say Biscotti does not like being this bad yet strapped down and can not do much to better the team.

hes thinking a lot of things obviously. but ill tell you right now the most important thing he is thinking is which small amount of players are worth KEEPING, not getting rid of this off-season. thats how bad it is.. thats how much we need to completely revamp this team.

honestly id rather listen to someone fresh with newer ideas, like de costa. would love to see him take over after this season.  this team needs new, young, and fresh ideas in management AND coaching. bring in a young buck as DC, bring in some dudes that will draw up some plays with high risk high reward type mentality. actually make sh#t happen and get the job done. finish games in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. bully the opponent around. bring in a younger, smarter rex ryan. thats exactly what this defense needs.

I think he thinks: “Well our fans are a little spoiled … but it could be worse… could be the owner of one of the other 26-28 teams who miss the playoffs most of the time!”

It's okay to not have a good year every once in awhile. It allows to put everything into perspective for front office, players with a few more years with us and the the fans as well.

We have been good for awhile and i cannot remember the last time we've looked this bad.. maybe 2005?

Some things just don't work out, the schedule has the team going all over and the injuries in the secondary and some bad calls. We had a chance to win all of these games within the final minutes of the game. We are not that bad of a team, but there will be changes. But I'm sure it's lighting a fire under Bisciotti and there will be some very good changes this coming offseason. I have faith we'll get better as the season goes, of course it is too late, but it makes the team stronger for next year.

as any investment, there is ups and downs.  While i highly doubt the Ravens organization is losing money, i bet its not making as much as he wants....like any billionaire

It's going to be the most interesting State of the Ravens ever, that's for sure.

Wonder if they'll call themselves out for the lack of receiving talent.

Steve's a down to earth dude. Unless we have 3 straight losing seasons harbaugh and ozzie are untouchable. Seriously ozzie isn't gonna retire after this year it's a down year it happens quit whining it sucks but what can you do.

Steve will probably do what most business owners would do in this situation: Evaluate with guidance from GM and head coach on best steps to improve the team long term within the budget they are given for 2016.

We've already hashed out the exact needs for this team so I won't go there but there are many positional needs and I'm afraid one draft and FA period won't solve all of the issues. This might be a multi-year rebuilding process. I am OK with that if we can get back to 8-8 next season and keep working on the draft and FA the following year as well.

The biggest thing Steve has probably learned is dropping huge contracts on single players (outside of a good QB) is dangerous. The NFL is littered with stories of players dropping in performance after getting a big payday. Teams like Patriots never do that sort of thing unless it's a bonafide star like Tom Brady. We should examine what the Patriots do in terms of replenishing their stock and learn from them. They are the gold standard in consistency.

I can't wait for the "State of the Ravens" address after the season... that should be "fun."

What give them another spin opportunity? Ozzie doesn't follow thru which to me is the most frustrating. And when he does it a protracted train wreck. "We think we have quality receivers already on this team" is the one that bites nuggets. Really ! And why aren't a few fans able to ask questions during the session? The questions posed to them are bland and soft ballish at best by the reporters. Censorship………………..

John Harbaugh: "We did some things bad but we did some things good. Dean is our guy and a great coordinator, I think his body of work this past season speaks for itself. That Suggs injury ruined everything for him and...blah blah blah"

Should've jumped on Wade Phillips when the chance presented itself. Guy is a genius

Would be nothing more than lip service. The State of the Ravens is actually pretty informative and would rather keep that set up, where they have clearer heads after the seasons is over. They've had time to think and analyze the team, and what needs to be done. They also seem to be pretty open, where as during the season, it's like torture to find out if you'll even see your #1 pick play.

He probably already had plans with Kubiak.
