[News] Injuries To Offensive Line Mount In Loss

32 posts in this topic

The 2011 season was Indy's "Suck for Luck" campaign. Maybe it's time for our very own "Stink for Stanley"?  :P

All kidding aside, Monroe really isn't living up to his contract. And KO's becoming more and more affordable every day - the real question is if we still want him.

Monroe is not worth the money we are paying. Oh my God I couldn't believe the contract Oz gave him. Cut him already. I been talking about him for months and got negatives for it. Truth hurts........

Well I know Monroe didn't get hurt on the Freeney bullrush/spin move play....Monroe barely touched Freeney on that play. He probably just left the field out of embarrassment.

Thought the league was supposed to be getting safer for players - I've never seen so many injuries as I have over the last 2-3 years (especially season-ending ones). It's become an epidemic that we're getting slammed with every year now. Has the conditioning/strength program changed during the offseason (or regular season)?

Monroe is another one that seems to have lost his desire. He's likely still injured and wasn't ready to return.....and now he injured his shoulder. IMO, the Cards beat up our OL, as did the Browns, Cincy and 9ers. How did the Cards pick up Freeney, where was Oz with Suggs down? As far as the injuries, did anyone watch the Pats against the Jets. The Pats are beat up on their OL (others) and the Jets barely touched Brady. No excuses.

He was there for the taking. When we didn't go for him, all I could think was - we're seeing him as a possible fill-in, based on name alone. Our FO must have seen him and knew he had nothing left and wasn't worth bringing in.

So we go get Babin ... he takes a handful of snaps and does nothing but damage with penalties and he's released. Then we see Freeney on another team looking pretty decent. Yeah, we just don't seem to be making the right moves at any level in the organization at the moment.

Monroe's lack of availability is really hurting us. Don't we have enough issues? With so many holes to fill and with his contract, we've got no choice but the sit and hope he can step up and do his job this year and next. Not sure what would give the impression that this will happen.

Just cut Monroe please. He is worthless in every conceivable way possible and seems like he is there just to collect checks. He is a work out warrior par excellence and he fits better as a trainer in a gym than as an NFL player making millions. Not just cut out for it.

Yes, but only at fair market value.  His not going to break the bank w/ his play so far this year. Honestly, anyone in a contract year, should be playing lights out from here going on considering that's all they have to play for besides pride.

I watched Monroe closely last night. I even watched him in slow motion. Dude does not want to play football. He avoids contact.

monroe is stealing $$ from bisciotti as are a few more players

The Greek, usually I'm in sync with what you say but I can't say Monroe's just "gettin' paid"! Jah Reid's doing that and Eugene Monroe's consistency is still a notch above Hurst!

Perhaps Hurst may grow some more by next year but Monroe's the Alpha Dawg on the Left right now!  B)

The only thing hurt on Eugene Monroe is his pride, if he had any to begin with. Dwight Freeney just abused him with that spin move. I don't like seeing my Ravens getting beat on a play but that was disgusting. I know Freeney is a premiere pass rusher but his best days are behind him. He was playing golf until the Cardinals signed this week for crying out loud and he beats Monroe like that who is supposed to be a premiere left tackle. We will never have another Johnathan Ogden. Monroe, Mckinnie, Gaither, all were supposed to carry the tradition that Ogden set and all of them have failed.

Its funny because on one of the first running plays I remember watching and thinking "who the h--- is #60?", don't ever see him in there. Then I realized quickly, oh wait its Eugene Monroe...........yes indeed, he's NEVER IN THERE.
