Seen Enough Of Marlon Brown

112 posts in this topic

I'm sticking with my pre season view of M. Brown.  We need to fill his roster spot.

Feel the same way about Aiken.

Waller did go out with an injury again last night. I may have seen him run one field stretch that resulted in a catch underneath, but considering our receiver woes I'm very surprised he has not gotten substantially more snaps. Waller has been out essentially three straight weeks now.

It's moot now anyway.  Waller won't be that something extra to get us over the hump.

true lol.

no way he is getting a 2nd rounder hahahah.

that ill be on board on the ozzie has gone senile train.

like i said though it comes down to what the FO is willing to risk.

most don't hold brown highly but apparently the team still does for whatever reason.

if they dont want to risk him going somewhere else in FA he will get tenderd and then work on a 1 year deal.

if they dont care then they will risk it.

at this moment only camp , perriman and waller are under contract for next season @ wr though.

and steve smith if he sticks around.

its certainly going to be very interesting to see who they will resign, tender or let go.

I think Aiken and Brown are almost the same guy but Brown blocks better but must've hung out with JPP on July 4th and lost all his fingers because he catches with his palms not his fingers. It's like he doesn't even have fingers. He may as well play with oven mitts. I think that'll be my nickname for him now: the baker or oven mitts.

I'd rather keep Aiken. At least he showed us he can catch the football. Brown can actually get open but even when he's open apparently the air covers him in coverage because he drops the ball. He just doesn't play big.

what happened to marlontron?!

ive been saying this since over a year ago, can anyone fill me in on where this hype really came from? his rookie season didnt warrant all the hype he had gotten from this fanbase, not even close.

I'm not fond of keeping either one. Breshad, Givens, Ross and Waller is who should be on the roster before free agency and of course the draft. Bolster that by further adding playmakers over the course of the offseason. We don't need a bonafide true number one but we do need people that are hungry to play and hungry to win, like Senior and Q.

I'd keep Aiken. He hasn't been that bad. I think he's been okay recently. I would be fine with keeping him here. I just wouldn't want him to be the top two guys.

I'm ok with him coming back as the 4, MAX, lol

Aiken > Waller.

Aiken > Waller.

Maybe at this current juncture he is, but Waller is arguably our best special teams player so far this season.  He is a raw rookie wideout that has not had many chances yet, I don't think the two can really be compared.  Aiken is a journeyman who has had a ton of chances and has not made much of them, especially this year.  If either Marlon Brown or Kamar Aiken are on our 2016 53-man roster, then something in the offseason went terribly wrong

Aiken > Waller.

I need to see more of Waller to prove this because as of now, I can't believe any other WR on the roster not named Brown is worse than Aiken

Aiken > Waller.

Waller has more potentional though and Aiken's is maxed out. Plus Waller has a 6'6 frame. I'm just not very fond of Kamar or Marlon anymore.

Believe me I'm no Aiken fan either, I just don't expect much of Waller either, even with his height. The new Tommy Streeter is my expectation.

I'll take anything at this point other than Aiken and Brown lol

What's wrong with keeping Aiken? He's not killing it out there but he's been decent.

He's far better than Tommy. Waller is pretty good at ST. Tommy never cared to do anything. He ran the laziest routes I've ever seen.

I am envisioning a wide receiver group of something like this for next season:

Garcon or Vjax (If/when cut), Perriman, Draft Pick (Round 2-3), Campanaro, Givens (Resigned) and Waller

Campanaro could be replaced my another draft pick in round 3-5, specifically someone who can gain separation and possesses short area quickness

No more of Marlon he has did nothing this year dropping easy passes and can't get open. Aiken disappears too often in games can't gain separation. They should give Givens a chance to start because I believe he has the potential to bring way more production than Brown, Aiken or anyone of our receivers outside of SSS.

Well I guess my thoughts of getting a look at Waller over Brown for the final stretch are scrapped now. Waller has been placed on IR smh.

I think he's a keeper, too. Not everybody has to be a star and he's a really good blocker. Will at least provide some vet experience.

Yeah and it's not like he's Marlon Brown bad. Aiken at least tries even if he makes mistakes and when he's put into playing a questionable role, such as being a deep that. Marlon Brown is only really good for catching balls 50% of the time they hit his hands and blocking people. I don't see the value with him anymore. Aiken has some.
