Next up: San Diego Chargers

Considering how many people say this team is trash and the fact that we're 1-6, anyone surprised that we haven't lost a game by more than 8 points?

We've played a few tough teams in Cincinnati, Arizona, and Denver (defensively). In all of them, I've seen bright spots so at least it's comforting to know that our team isn't completely lost. I think we're only a few pieces away from being back in the playoffs.

2 teams that are struggling to finish games off. It seems like every week our defense is giving up huge chunk plays and long TDs

And every week I see P.Rivers trying to lead a game winning drive only to be stopped inside the goal line and falling on the ground screaming. I like Rivers as a competitor, their offensive line has been completely terrible.

The most interesting thing about this team is, no matter how bush league the receivers are overall, or how garbage the defense is, we manage to stay close in every game. That's actually amazing to me. I feel like we could beat San Diego though.

Of course I will be starting Rivers in fantasy just like I started Palmer

Lol to fantasy league. That's the only reason why I don't play fantasy I can't separate the two. I'm actually itching to try fanduel or Draft kings. Lol

Typically I bench anybody playing the Ravens no matter who they are.  This season, I've accepted that we're a bad team so I may as well win somewhere.  Started Palmer yesterday in one league, will start Rivers this weekend in another

Just wreck Webb and Jimmy. Expose those 2 clowns as scammers. Those two needs to be cut or take a dump on their pay. They SUCK. GUARANTEE they will bomb again

It's easier to say that when the team is losing. I disagree with the comment about Webb and Jimmy as well as those jumping all over Joe. All can be better but not to the point of replacing them, which would actually make the team much worst.

Might want to check how much passing yds they gave up so far.

My predictions:

Chargers - 31

Ravens - 20

Same old Pees defense shows up allows 300+ passing yards.    We get penalized 11 times.  Someone gets hurt and out for rest of season.  Flacco throws an interception, WRs drop ball several times.

Harbaugh announces that we played well and still need to work on a few things.

Really?  How can we get anyone that will perform worse than our secondary already is?  WRs run circles around Smith, Webb is sluggish and when he does make a play, he gets called for P.I.

Nah, the defense as a whole has a lot to do with those yards. Sort of like comparing Joe during the Superbowl run and the 2013 Joe, the team around these guys are a part of the dysfunction.

All I am saying is it's a defensive issue as well and not just them.

Ah Ha Ha Ha. The team isn't perfect. Regardless of records, we're not getting blown out by teams that probably should blow us out considering our personnel or lack thereof.

Truthfully, the only reason the Cardinals were having troubles was because of their own accord. They ran the ball on first and second and then we were able to do something on third down. (Hill breaking up the pass comes to mind) If a team is actually smart and tries to pass the ball two or more times in a 3 down set, more times than not, against our D, the other team gets the first down.

With that being said, the Chargers have shown the past couple weeks that they aren't afraid to throw the ball 60 times. That combined with the state of our pass rush and secondary, I'm not predicting a great outcome.

Their running defense are ranked 31st in the league so I expect we run in their throat to control clock and keep Rivers' bench warmed......we should win this game if we can run the ball on weak running defense......if we throw, Rivers will torch us up....

Without potentially our whole left side of the line, backups and possibly other starters being reshuffled, I'm not going to bet that we are able to run the ball down their throats all night.

Hopefully this season is a blessing in disguise and the high draft position gets us the weapons to take us to that next level and we become a powerhouse for the next 5 7 years of flaccos career.

We should be able to beat San Diego - but we SHOULD have been able to beat a lot of teams this year. All bets are off. But one things for sure - we will compete and make it interesting. It will feel absolutely wonderful to blow them away and finally get a distinctive victory.

if we lose this game (huge chance we will ), theres a chance we could go into the bye at 0-8 because of a missed kick a few weeks back. thats fun to think about.

We don't really have the personnel to take advantage of a bad defense , while the chargers do.

Expect Melvin Gordon to have a breakout game and Hope Kenan Allen is held under 250yrds.

I'll take the under on both, just like I took the under on the "Carson Palmer will throw for 500 yards" nonesense.

Melvin Gordon probably gets 10 carries or less in this game.

I am going out on a limb and saying we will lose this one. I never said I was going far out on the limb, and predicting anything else, considering the FO and coaching staff are in some sort of denial, would be foolish.

You read my mind. LOL

We've needed playmakers. Next year we will get them. Enjoy watching the young guys. I expect us to go CB, WR, olb or dl. We've turned top 10 picks into GOLD, so I'm not worried. Hell, might even trade down from the 2nd to scoop 2 immediate, impact players.

Oh yea. Don't see us winning, even as bad as the Chargers are. Philip Rivers loves playing the Ravens.

Much more likely Ozzie trades down

Since both teams have difficulty finishing games, I'm going to call a tie.

Bold Prediction! lol

#lonewolf

Seriously though, I'll be at the game. They better win!
