The Good, the bad and the ugly vs Cardinals

327 posts in this topic

I guess I'm the complete opposite from most of you guys: these close losses hurt more and more game after game. Seriously, I'd rather get blown out than lose a close one. Easier for me to get over.

Regardless, this team doesn't quit and I respect that a lot. I guess this what happens when you have a young team. The FO better get it together in the offseason.

Every single CB we have is not worth having, including Jimmy. For how much he is getting paid, he should be playing a whole lot better. Don't even get me started on the rest of the group.

Oddly thought Shareece Wright was the best CB on the field tonight. I don't know whether to classify that as a good or bad thing...

You said something huge, FUNDAMENTALS. We don't have them, corners getting burned underneath when they have safety help over the top, poor angles, lunging arm tackles, poor gap control.. and that's just the defense. The team just lacks overall discipline and football intelligence outside of a few players, I don't even blame Harbs, this is the NFL, the coach shouldn't have to baby you and spoon feed you on how to do the most basic facets of the game.

I said it last week. We lack the 3 basic fundamentals. Tackling, covering, and catching. Can't do those 3 things and you can't win.

Path to the Draft

The 2015 Baltimore Ravens Season

That was in response to John's presser where he claimed the Ravens would be writing their own story!

Those fake end arounds to Ross have to stop. Gives me shades of Cam's obsession with using Stallworth in that way. It was effective the first time and then it was just a waste the next 30 times.

can we stop giving contracts to guys who actually don't deserve it..sustained consistent injury free seasons  =contract

when will the FO stop it...they don't have a rod woodson..you wait and see if jimmy smith can have a good season..

he's been utter..

I would like to know what Steve Bisciott is thinking right now! He must not be a very happy owner right now. It is hard to figure out this Ravens team.

But, in any case, I think some moves are impending. Most likely there will be a movement of coordinators for sure. I won't be surprised to see Pees replaced by one of the line coaches.

I'm tired of our LT play. Eugene Monroe is inconsistent and just hasn't been the player we thought he would be. I want us to do something with LT. Whether we draft one very early or not, I want to see us shift Monroe to Guard at the very least and see how he can transition there.

This also. Giving huge contracts to injury prone guys is going to put us behind in the future.

Not a good game by any means, but I was at least glad to see some heart this week. They fought hard and I can accept that at least.

unfortunately, too little too late

our draft has been horrendous; are we going to blow up the top 5 pick?

We better go for pass rusher.....

I'm not pointing at Flacco for the loss; I'm pointing at the offense as a whole starting with Trestman.

I'm not a fan of Trestman myself; I think both he AND Peas need to go.

good to know we won't have to worry about getting anyone in next years draft..

sadly..ozzie will trade out of the top 10 to collect his useless bunch of 4th round picks.

This wasn't the start to my birthday I hoped for but like I said...we're going to be so good with Bosa or Ramsey next year.

dang people actually blaming the defense lol

:258801:

Blame all around, defense included. A team doesn't get to here if there is only one problem.

You're smart, you know this.

I don't want Trestman to go, but at the same time I wouldn't be mad if he was fired. His play calls at time are very questionable. At the same time, we need continuity, four offensive coordinator is just a lot on one guy, too many coaches shifting in and out.

Yeah Flacco shouldn't have to be checking with the sidelines for plays in a 2 min drill. Not in year 8. I don't care whose offense is being run. That is on Trestman.

Why is it that it seems not a single OC has trusted Flacco to call his own plays? Not a single one...

Smith is looking like a bad contract.

Webb and Smith are very highly paid for not much return...and neither are reliable as far as health goes.

It still is Trestman's 1st year and it's not like we gave him a great cast to work with. Maybe more time in his offense will help though it does seem like that offense has taken a step back the last two games. Anyway I don't think it'll help to have a 5th OC in 5 years.

i did (check the post). i said we should wait and he hasn't shown enough in a sustain period esp after a bad injury

We should just move on from Monroe. He's the softest player on the team and should have never gotten that contact. The only thought should be figuring out the best way to distance ourselves from him!

Agree with this. Kubiak basically said he wanted to simplify the offense for Flacco after the bye last year.

Either Flacco just doesn't have the IQ to do it or it's coming down from Harbs.

I really want us to do something at LT. We can't have our starting LT constantly hurt. I give the pass to Monroe for the concussion, those are serious and a problem but the man cannot stay healthy for the life of him. If you can't stay healthy, then you aren't doing much and surely not living up to your contract. I can't stand seeing Hurst out there, he is awful.
