The Good, the bad and the ugly vs Cardinals

When did I say I could have done better? You don't lob the ball up in that situation. Flacco is getting paid like a top 3 QB and he makes mistakes like he's in the bottom third.

Using the word "you" makes it a discussion about what you would have done. Try using the word "he" if you aren't talking about you or I, for starters.

But hey, I guess it's really easy to not throw a lob when a defender is plowing into you.

Don't worry I'm sure we'll have a "too little too late" run at the tail end of the season with all the home games and do just enough to miss the playoffs as well as get us out of the top 10 in the draft.

Flacco doesn't sound happy about the final drive. Said it was very hectic and way too much communication.

Yeah Flacco shouldn't have to be checking with the sidelines for plays in a 2 min drill. Not in year 8. I don't care whose offense is being run. That is on Trestman.

The sad part is if they didn't have that lackidasical saunter with no timeouts maybe there would have been more time. I hate everything this team does.......zero fundamentals, urgency or football IQ. Seems to be a rampant problem in the organization. Refs are trash too.

I have to strongly disagree with anyone saying Joe lost us that game. For one thing even if we got the last-second TD the 2 points isn't guaranteed (AND that would have only made it OT), and the defense was worse than the offense.

I disagree with the defense being worse than the offense. The offense did nothing the 2nd half except for the very last drive. ST blocked a punt and put the offense on the 1. Given how the game went and compared to the other games this season, the defense played alright.

That is soooooo last week dude. They weren't lackidasical this week.

4 coordinators in 4 years, no weapons, his blindside Tackle can't block, the stress we put Joe under is unbelievable. Flacco is so much better than he get's to show in this dumpster fire of a team.

Our 2 minute offense is bad. When we got the red zone, a lot of execution errors so I can see what he means.

I really thought we were going to win this one now that we've been written off by everybody. Maybe we would if we had just a liitle less biased or little more competent refs.

Glad there was some fire back in our team.

Why is Trestman not using Givens more? Guy gets open on deep route big time, I could throw it to him. Buck Allen needs more snaps, too.

Monroe and KO had another lousy game.

Trestman should have had something helping to passblock for Flacco. You know they were going to bring the house and Flacco couldn't take a sack in that situation. Or do the Kubiak thing and call a rollout. I've tried to defend Trestman before but the calls seem to be getting worse as the season continues.

Looked like John was on his butt during that illegal shift call when they showed them. Clean house with the coordinators.

I wonder if The Mom Gene still thinks he is the next Gronk lol.

I do. He's got to learn how to run routes a little better but he's got crazy potential.

8 points in the 2nd half off a blocked punt giving the o the ball at the 2. Muffled return. Defense missed tackles and some guys running open, but did their job for the most part.

But the defense blew SO many opportunities, continuing to let them convert on 3rd down. I guess they were equally bad, but I still think it's dumb to point to Flacco for the loss.

Honestly I don't think Flacco is happy with how this offense is run at all. Given he actually had some criticism this week - I'm even more certain. He needs to speak up to Harbs and get Trestman gone if it just doesn't work.

When you only have one go-to guy you're going to have a lot of RZ errors. Outside of SSSr nobody else is consistent enough to rely on in the RZ, hence all the close calls.

I'm not pointing at Flacco for the loss; I'm pointing at the offense as a whole starting with Trestman.

They were

No they weren't. That was on Trestman and being slow calling plays in from the sidelines. The only time they weren't moving was when the clock was stopped.

Last week it was actually on them or at least Monroe, taking their good old time getting to the line,.

You said something huge, FUNDAMENTALS. We don't have them, corners getting burned underneath when they have safety help over the top, poor angles, lunging arm tackles, poor gap control.. and that's just the defense. The team just lacks overall discipline and football intelligence outside of a few players, I don't even blame Harbs, this is the NFL, the coach shouldn't have to baby you and spoon feed you on how to do the most basic facets of the game.

The Cards were 5/12. The Ravens were 5/13

Every single CB we have is not worth having, including Jimmy. For how much he is getting paid, he should be playing a whole lot better. Don't even get me started on the rest of the group.

Definitely not, as annoyed as I've ever heard him. He typically doesn't reveal this much.

The refs were the worst part of the game.

Also, Webb needs to go.

Also, Monroe is soft as charmin.

But even with all the mistakes, I'm honestly not too bothered, I was convinced we'd get blown out. I wanted to see effort and these guys gave it to me.

Losing every single game by 1 possession is extremely anomalous and there's likely no precedent for it. Like I said in the game thread, this has to be the most competitive 1-6 team ever. Only one team can win the SB every year, and since it obviously won't be us this year, hey, why not add a high draft pick to a team that's just missing a few pieces? I'm honestly at peace right now.

well said. I'm right there with you, it hurts a little just bc of the roller coaster ride they take us on every week only to crash in the end- but like you said - this is the most competitive 1-6 team there ever was.

I can't remember a team losing this many early close games that could have gone either way. I know there had to be a few. Just thinking...this a freaky season. Bummer. It's scary.

Good effort overall. I'm feeling for for these guys. They've got to be just as freaked-out.
