The Jalen Ramsey (CB/S) Train

I agree, I want Joe and I think we trade back if someone wants Goff that bad. I think we have a problem when it comes to pass rusher in the draft, there aren't really any stand-up pass rusher worth a top ten unless his name is Joey Bosa.i thi

I used to like Floyd, but right now I don't think he'll be the pick. I don't really like Floyd honestly for this team. He's a pass rusher but his size is a big problem. At 230 you'd have to question whether or not he can actually beat LTs. I believe at one point he was even at 225. That's a big problem. Unless he packs plenty of muscle for the combine, I don't see him as a guy we would pick.

I want Ramsey bad for this team. He'd solve so many of our problems. I keep going back and forth between him, Bosa, Hargreaves and Stanley.

I really like Vonn Bell if we can't get Ramsey as our FS, but Ramsey is so good.

I recently have really jump on the Ramsey hype train, possibly even taking over the top spot with me over Hargreaves.  I really think it depends what happens in Free Agency though.  IF and its a big IF we can sign Gipson in free agency then I don't think Ramsey is necessary and we would probably look at pass rusher or corner.  But if we can sign a free agent corner then Ramsey would be an absolute beast of a pick.  If we get the #1 pick we could trade back a few spots and accumulate an additional second rounder and still get Ramsey, that would be my ideal scenario.

I'm still leaning towards Hargreaves but by a thread. I personally think that once Jimmy gets back to 100%, we'll have a #1 CB, but man can you imagine pairing Hargreaves with him for the next five seasons? It would be seriously tough to throw it on us. Obviously we'll need a safety which is why I might go with Ramsey, he would solve our free safety issues for good.

I've finally hopped aboard the Ramsey train.

Not only do I think he's farther ahead of the DB class (outside of VGIII) than Bosa is of the OLBs, but he seems to have that fire to be the "dog" on defense.

Really love in the Miami game, they run a screen, and he gets blocked by two guys and cut down. Instead of lay down he jumps up and grabs the receiver and holds them to a short gain. Really goes to show the motor and fight in this guy that we need to put back on our defense

I agree, I'm on the Ramsey train as well, but Bosa, Hargreaves and Stanley would be nice as well.  Obviously a lot of talent at the top end of the draft that we will be able to get our hands on.

rashaan Melvin is gonna be a shutdown CB!

he will be or the Pats gut feeling and actual defensive coaching instead of stand 10 yards off and fall down

a little pass rush will also make these guys better too

If we pick in the top 5 Ramsey is my pick if Stanley is also gone.

That's pretty much where I'm at, but I think Ramsey could be around beyond five.

I still think Ramsey goes somewhere between 8-15. We're not out of the race for him yet. Bosa could be out of our range. But let's not kid ourselves, here. We won one game. We have a long way to go to be out of this race.

Hahaha, I really doubt that, Ramsey gone after the 6th pick.

VH3 will probably go before him with how much teams tend to value lockdown CBs over safeties, and you've got Bosa, Floyd, Nkemdiche, two potential franchise LTs and three potential franchise QBs depending on who other teams like - teams always seem to devalue safeties in the draft and Ramsey's having somewhat of a down year since he's out of position. I agree with Grim that the 8-15 range sounds about right, as much as we love him in this part of the forum.

8-15 sounds way low. im not sure hargreaves goes before him either, the lack of quality safeties is becoming apparent in the league and teams are gonna value ramsey very highly, because he isnt being graded as a cb most likely.

That might be true if they were both the same level of prospects (which there not), but Ramsey is a unique case because safety's of his caliber just don't come around very often.

Lol you guys are crazy to automatically assume Ramsey goes top 5 without question. Just because he's a Hell of a safety prospect doesn't mean he'll go ahead of Hargreaves. This is coming from a major fan of Ramsey.

He certainly may, but let's not delude ourselves by automatically assuming every team will just take a player because of a reason we share. Safeties are in high demand, but it's extremely rare they go top 5. It almost never happens and only did once recently and that was Berry.

Problem is, Ramsey's a better corner than he was a safety, in fact he's been a shutdown CB all season. Plus he's bigger and fast than the small, slow Hargreaves.

He's not a better CB than safety and all reports I read suggest teams feel his best fit is at safety. Hargreaves isn't even slow, man. Edited by GrimCoconut

cill, it is obvious that you form your own personal biased opinions, and stick with them regardless of facts and evidence. hargreaves is the same size as revis, and he is by no means slow, he is absurdly quick as well, and im a ramsey fanboy 100% but if you wanna talk about speed, hargreaves first step makes his game speed quicker than ramseys, who has a tendency to get heavy footed on the first step of his breaks.

I mean don't get me wrong. I'd love Ramsey. Just because I love Hargreaves doesn't mean I love Ramsey any less. I have them equal in all honesty and I'll be happy with either. But don't discredit Hargreaves to make Ramsey look good. That doesn't make sense

I'm a fan of Ramsey as well, I would love to have him here. I may lean towards Hargreaves right now but if we don't make a move at FS then if the choice was mine I would take Ramsey.

I still want either Ramsey or Hargreaves really BAD.

Draft talk is funny. If you like 1 guy it's assumed you don't like the other.

I know right? Why not like a few guys? I try not to marry prospects because I know it's rare we get all the guys I like. That's why I just like a ton of guys lol. I probably get a bit annoying at times because I say I like mostly everyone but I do.
