i never like the idea that the ravens wasted their first round pick on Perriman, there were better options other than this guy

He will be another Webb but only a receiver..

I find it strange that the two players...Perriman and Maxx Williams....the two additions that most pundits felt put us into a SB contender have played very little. Perriman....what can I say....Williams has been hurt as much as not.

What did we (our scouts) miss about these two? Or is it just bad karma for us this year....?

I'm sticking with bad luck on these two and hoping next year both guys tear it up and change the options of most fans posting on here. Think about it, "if" both healthy and productive on top of some even higher picks added next year, we could hopefully limit this to just one bad season

He's a risk tasker that either gets burned (usually) or jumps a route (every once in a while), sadly the other times he just looks lost

I didn't see anything about Joe. Is Flacco going to show-up and play? Still making a mention of Perriman. Why? Being on the injured list of the Ravens....not a bad place to be. We've got a long way to go for nothing.

Does anyone here really think that Perriman will hold up well against NFL-style hitting anyways? He seems to me to be just the opposite of SSS.

I'm waiting to see him play before judging him, not writing him off as a bust before ever taking a snap. Look at it this way, the season is already shot so he'll have all the time in the world to heal, learn the plays, and gel with flacco.

He was one of the youngest players in the draft and the knock on him was always that he was a little soft and needed to bulk up to take the punishment at the NFL level. Give him a couple of years. Dennis Pitta had 1 catch for 1 yard his entire rookie year.

Max needs to train with Gilmore during the off season

it's sad no one can play, I been hearing since training camp that perriman will be back soon, 5 months later still missing. webb is useless, hurt all the time, jimmy smith is one of the worst in the nfl, how could someone get beat all the time terrible. in a passing league hoe do u let players like torrey, boldin and owen daniels go.

This is the worse start in Raven's history and I don't see no top flight players on this team besides Suggs, Dumervil, Smith Sr., and Forsett, I don't have faith in none of the DB's except for maybe Asa and that's a maybe. Because they have been blown away all season even when they were healthy they were blown away. And if the kicker on the Steelers would have made the field goals instead of missing them, we would have lost that game too. Now, I hope we don't go 1-15 but with the way the locker room seem to be in disarray with a can't win attitude and not much leadership on the field except Smith Sr. I mean what else can I think. Unless the Ravens can start winning and prove this wrong, I mean the best way to turn anything around is to start winning and before you can start to win on the field you have to win in your own heart, I'm just saying!!!

Cross-pollinating articles here - the Ravens in this messed up season, have the best run-stopper in Brandon Williams and the best guard in the NFL in Yanda. Arguably, we have the toughest and most durable player in Steve Smith, Sr. Well, we, also, probably have the most fragile player in the NFL in Perriman. I know it is a small sample size for judgment like this, but the expectation is as low now as it was high before, for many of us.

Wow! The Ravens 1st and 2nd round draft pick receivers are performing at a frightful clip. Unfortunately, it's for the Ravens and not the OTHER teams! Let me do some quick math here. Let's see. Move the.... Add the.... Carry the.... Yea, between them, each averaging a cool NINE yards a game!!

Wow, canty is really playing??

I'm betting not.  Practiced Thursday, sidelined Friday.   I love Canty, he's been one of my favorite players, I was glad when he was resigned, but this will probably be his last season.

Man, the NFL needs to expand the roster beyond 53, and increase the game-day active roster above 46. This is crazy.

I remember Ed Reed playing FS with one arm. I would rather have him with one arm than any of our 2-armed safeties over the last 2 seasons.

all 4 of those players are no longer top flight. all 4 are in their 30's. yes sss has played his butt off and has out shined the younger useless receivers on this team but he is battered and will fade as the season goes on. doom and suggs are in their mid 30's and on  the downside side of being dominating. we have some young talent to build around and the front office needs to stop missing on these 1st and 2nd round picks like they have lately aside from mosley. some of these other guys are wait and see.

The Perriman jokes are old. He will return when he is ready

Every week, the edition of "Who's playing, Who's Not" will reopen that topic. The comments are the same week in and week out ... "Oh, he's out? What a surprise  ..."

Yes, it gets old indeed, but mean spirited people are allowed to post within the rules, because they are exercising their right to voice their opinion ... and it is our right to not agree.

Every week, the edition of "Who's playing/Who's Not" will reopen that topic,

I just want the man to completely heal. If he saw some playing time this year then great, I would love to get a taste of what he could do before next season, but I rather him get completely healthy than to keep aggravating his injury and having him have setbacks which will take him longer to heal. We need to be patient with him, even if he is a slow healer. I understand it is frustrating but we can't hold that against him.

Sorry to be the I-told-you-so guy, but Stephon Diggs is looking pretty good right now compared to a guy drafted rounds before him.

I know but that happens in the draft every year. There has been many players I liked that we passed on, players we picked up that I was not crazy about, and individuals in our organization that (IMHO) need to go, but what is the point of me saying I-told-you-so? I certainly know I am never going to have a say in the matter anyway.

No doubt it will do no good to put him on the field if he's not ready and end up setting him back. I mean, we apparently put him on the practice field too early and even that apparently set him back.

I sincerely hope that he is completely healed at some point before this season is over and he gets a chance to show what he can do. I don't want to roll into next season thinking we have something that we don't actually have. Otherwise, I think we have to go into next season with the attitude that, if he's actually a starter worthy WR, then we get a bonus. We can by no means do what we did this year and ink him in as a #2 receiver.

Yeah, c'est la vie. The worst part about it is that I knew we were going to have problem with our secondary and that why I'm absolutely bummed we didn't use our first round pick on a corner when there were still talented players at the position. Instead, we reached for a receiver early, because everyone wants us to have the next AJ Green or whatever. I'm not whining, but hindsight sucks.

I agree, it was our biggest need and there were still some decent choices left on the board, like Byron Jones. However, I wanted Marcus Peters so badly, I prayed Ozzie would trade up for him.

Same here, but he never trades up  -_- . I've supported Oz's system of best-player-available drafting, but I hope he prioritizes the secondary next time around. He didn't have much foresight for our defense this time around. We always find our best receivers after the first round anyway. I want Kendall Fuller, the Baltimore native out of Virginia Tech.
