[News] Eisenberg: What One Thing Would You Change About Ravens?

If we lose this game on the defense giving up more big plays, I can't see how Pees survives this. If he still does and the losing continues unabated, then I can't see how Harbaugh survives that...

Will Hill blew that play not Pees. Will Hill was the safety over the top but he came up to play the run and left Torrey 1 on 1. Did you even watch the game? Did you see Harbaugh grab Will Hill by the face mask after the play and yell at him for it? 9 times outta 10, giving up a big play on defense is the result of poor execution/communication and NOT play calling. Quit blaming the coaches for bad play on the field. Same low football IQ clowns calling for Pees to be fired are the same low football IQ clowns that called for Castillo to be fired 2 years ago. "Can't win with dumb players", period.

Speaking of dumb, the call was cover zero because the 49ers were in a run set. Will Hill was where he was supposed to be. Even if you believe he wasn't, how dumb was the coaching staff for not calling a timeout to fix the incorrect formation. If Harbaugh yelled at Will Hill this just proves my point that John Harbaugh = junior college coach.

Drafting Perriman in the first round.

Not that I don't think he is going to be good because I really don't know, but we could really use a contributor right about now.

yeah harbaugh grabbed shareece wright by the facemask. Did you watch the game? His one assignment on that particular play was not get beat deep. Speaking of low football IQ. I take it you didn't hear harbaughs explanation of the play either. He specifically called out shareece wright in the post game Conference. Ofcourse it was poor execution, I said pees would probably like to have it back because he put his trust in a guy that had been on the team for less than a week. It's no excuse for wright, and I don't blame pees- but I'm sure if he could have it back he wouldn't do it again.

Salary cap, draft pick success, play calling by coordinators, take advantage of opportunities, fewer injuries of the significant kind to impact players, more timely in-game adjustments, better clock management, consistently ready to play 60 minutes, quality players at vulnerable positions (i.e. wideouts and secondary), rebuild defense, smart decision-making by QB, catch what you can get your hands on (passes or interceptions) and, oh yeah, win the Super Bowl every year (no-brainer - LOL). Take your pick.

The entire 2013 draft! But for this season alone, I'd like to change that week 1 Denver loss, I think that set the tone for the downward spiral. We have had the lead in every game in the 4th qt or been close enough to win most games.

I would change John Harbaugh's influence on whom we draft. The owner, Steve Bisciotti, made a lot of money doing personnel work, and he should be able to see what is not working. Granted, the NFL is a very high stakes place with only 32 "companies," and we have seen the Jerry Jones of the world be unsuccessful on the winning part of the equation (but not the $$$ part).

I had to leave this, b4 I finished, to get to church.

I don't want another Jerry Jones or even worse, a Dan Snyder.  But Steve should see how the brain trust has been picking the wrong players and change the parameters on the draft choices.  John likes players who will not rock the boat.  The idea of leadership by example does not work if the players are neither observant nor introspective.  For a Torrey Smith who is a bright guy, it worked with an Anquan Boldin as an example, but that kind of relationship has been rare on the Ravens.  Someone needs to supply the fire.  A good head coach can manage the fiery characters, he does not try to avoid them.

Steve gave Brian Billick a talking to and Brian changed his style for one year, the last winning season Brian had.  Maybe John Harbaugh will prove smarter that Brian was, but someone has to change the attitude at the top, and it should be Steve.

I say dumb penalties (or phantom penalties) toward the end of the game. We have let so many teams out of a 3rd and long situations that allowed them to win games. Oh and for all the people sill moaning about us losing Boldin.....he and torrey are BOTH on the 49ers and they aren't exactly lighting up the NFL so get over it already.

I'd like to have Stefon Diggs as our 5th-rounder instead of Robert Myers, who we ended up releasing on Sept 5th (though he is now back on the practice squad). I'd like to have done any one of a dozen little things that would've given the Ravens victories at home against Cincy and Cleveland (penalties, coverage blunders, etc.).

That every player on the roster could have the same heart that SSS has.

Agreed, we need more of that swagger this team used to be known for. I miss that.

The defense is just plain awful. You would need a whole new secondary to make this team competitive. The linebackers can't cover either. Tight ends and running backs have freedom to roam at will. We don't need more dam wide receivers. We need DEFENSE.

The thing about Sizzle is everybody always pointed to his pass rush, but he was great against the run too, as well as dropping back into coverage. We've seen how the defense fared after he went down. Doom made the Pro Bowl last change, but Siz has always been the better player and we've found that out the hard way.

I would have drafted Stefon Diggs instead of Tray Walker. How can the team justify not taking him? We had lost Jacoby Jones, so we needed someone with KR/PR abilities as a receiver. We had already gone for Kyle Arrington and Kendrick Lewis, so you had to think the team liked the position they were in with the secondary. But nope...we got Tray Walker, who can't play above Shareece Wright. But Stefon Diggs is tearing it up now.

yeah that ones gonna come back to bite us I can already see it. He fell all the way to the back end of the fifth and he's already drawing comparisons to Antonio brown. Diggs, SSS, and perriman would have been deadly. Chalk that up as another Shoulda coulda woulda.

Marc Trestman. The TE's need more opportunities 2 try 2 make some plays. But all in all is really Dean Pees. Y would anyone play back into coverage when they're like 3rd and 4. You suppose 2 play bump and run. His time has past and he's the 1 that really needs 2 go.

I would make every aspect of the team 5% better. Then we would have won all those games, not lost them. We didn't lose any of them by much, you know.

At this point the playoffs is a far stretch. I would begin to play some of the backups more...oh my bad we are already playing backups...lol...but in all seriousness I would be figuring out how to upgrade the secondary, pass rusher, receiver, and backfield positions. We need more dynamic playmakers that will make Joe look better. He isn't type that elevates other players games. Nothing against Joe, but when he made that playoff run in 2012 he was handing the ball off to a 1,000 yard rusher (Rice), throwing to a great TE (Pita), had a go to WR (Boldin), had two burners to go deep to (T. Smith and J. Jones). We had actual weapons. Our best offensive player now is Smith. Who is great, but as we say last week he is limited by his height in the endzone. Just a smaller target to hit in close quarters. When we had Boldin and T. Smith you could throuw it up and have a chance. Just my two cents.
