[News] Eisenberg: What One Thing Would You Change About Ravens?

120 posts in this topic

The draft. Perriman has yet to pan out, and had we known what we had in Gilmore would we still draft williams? Use those first two picks on defense, get diggs in the 4th instead of waller and we a different ball club. That's what I (emphasis on I) would change.

Oh my lord, you have no idea how pissed off I was and still am for they using the pick on Walker instead of Diggs. Walker was nowhere near getting picked on the 4th or 5th round and it wouldn't matter because hes done nothing this season. Diggs is already drawing comparisons to Antonio brown with his performances after coming back

I wish you were a scout for this team. Because these new scouts we have must have all graduated from Dumb & Dumber High school or something.

Im still pissed that Matt Elam was a 1st Rd pick. Didn't they learn their lesson with Terrence Cody?

My wish is a combo... Replace the current OC n DC with Gary Kubiak & Rex Ryan. We'd be sitting at 4-2, worse case scenario, today !

I think since 2011 (yes even in the super bowl year 2012) the defense's direction and effectiveness has each year declined, from bend don't break, to break... but maybe not always. My Great Pumpkin wish is for a change here. GO RAVENS!

Problem is we've made so many mistakes the last three years with only one Great Pumpkin wish to reverse them.

But, have to agree it would be for Suggs to not get injured.

I would change not bringing them home after almost beating the broncos! And play calling in the redzone that's where you go to the TEs! Monday night will be the perfect place to show everyone what's coming and you know the Ravens are gonna go out with a bang! LETS GO!

I would eliminate the vulnerability of injury to the players and give them Super powers to be able to read the other team's offense.

After all, we are talking the Great Pumpkin here.... So I think we're talking NOT REAL STUFF.

1. Wish the offense wouldn't stall after a good start and not score or do much for a quarter or 2 and try to get the lead back the lead for one ...

2. Wish the defense would hold opponents to protect our lead and not get a penalty to give opponents a new set of downs so they can score and take the lead ...

aside from starting different players on the roster or p-squad there is not much that can be done other than more aggressive playcalling on both sides of the ball and adapting to the strengths of the players already here. need to use all of the te's more because they are better than aiken and brown. on defense play arthur brown and some of the other younger players more so we know what they bring to the table next season and allows the fo insight on what to target in the draft. better drafting must happen and the dc and position coaches at db,cb and wr must be upgraded.

Somebody who can actually evaluate WR talent. All we heard all during OTA's and Training Camp how this was the deepest WR group the Ravens ever had. Really? Why, because they all could "Catch Everything" wearing shorts and a jersey? Keep in mind we also had Tanden Doss slotted in as the guy who was going to replace Boldin along with David Reed being a "Player". Guess that about sums it up why we are loaded with Practice Squad WR's. SAD.

Kudos to you John for asking the Million dollar Question.

I have not liked Pees Zone Scheme since he got here. We got real used to being a dominant Defense, being stingy giving up yards and points. Then Pees gets here, and all of a sudden the term "bend but dont brake" is acceptable as we start getting horrible on 3rd downs, teams marching up and down the field on us, all they have to do is find the holes in our soft zone prevent Pees D. It sucks, and has sucked since Day 1, the overall scheme and philosophy.

I want to see a new DC with an aggressive scheme, giving all the players on our Defense a new look, and not listen to Harbaugh, and make his own determination of what works and what doesnt. The new DC may find gems that Pees has overlooked, or never even thought of. Prove me wrong, but our problem is Defense, and it starts at the Top.

 Dropped balls...........Oh, Great Pumpkin please make ALL the dropped passes be caught. How many have we had of those??! A lot! There are many thing's that I would have liked to change, and some may be more predominate, but this is one that stand's out in my mind!

yeah, got a feeling that's really going to comeback to bite us. When he fell all the way to the late fifth I thought for sure we were going to grab him. Don't get me wrong I love nick Boyle and he has been a huge surprise..but I think we should have gotten diggs even in the 4th over tray walker- who we seem to have absolutely zero faith in.

My one thing would be to eliminate the interception at the end of the Broncos game. It would've been a tough catch, but had crock come down with that ball and had joe put a little more zip on it our entire season would have gone differently. That game sets the tone for the season and would have done wonders for our confidence.

Either that or I would take away the blown coverage in the immediate td throw by dalton to aj green after we finally took the lead against Cincinnati. We had finally grabbed the momentum and a stop on that series on defense and we likely win that game at home and the entire dynamic of the afc north changes. ( that was also the week Big Ben went down) SSS knew how important that game was and played his freakin tail off. Ofcoure Suggs is a big one but I also believe that injuries are no excuse. You absolutely cannot get burnt on a play like that directly after we take the lead. Unacceptable. Then not only does SSS help us take the lead again, we give up another easy td to green. This tesm has no discipline. I would also change the face mask penalty on KO on the 4th down we converted that pretty much ended the game.

The stupid challenge on the boldin catch stands out as well. Obviously that came back to bite us as I knew it would. There is pretty much atleast one huge mistake that I would change in literally every single game so far. Too bad that's not an option, and we can't keep looking back...gotta move on and take it one week at a time.

I would love to make 1 change. the DC! if we lost Pees - i believe we would be signicantly better right there. The 3 biggest changes would be to add some real weapons at WR to compliment SSS add a Pass Rusher and change DC.... but if we dont add a new DC none of it matters we will keep losing having scored 25 plus points.... so the biggest change is replacing Pees.

I gave you that positive vote to get you out that neg you had Lol.

But yea bro, another big disappointment by our scouts. I actually looked forward to see what Tray Walker was going to contribute to this team, but so far I havn't seen a thing.

Can't blame Pees for everything

The Scouting Dept. needs to get a lot better. Through the years many of our scouts have been lulled away from us and we have not been able to replace that talent so far. Until we do, we are going to see many bad selections being made at draft time. we blame coaches and players for the team failures this year. But, let's not forget that you have to be able to acquire the right players to fit your need and we are missing the boat in that area right now.
