[News] Ravens Secondary Cautious Of Cardinals' Big Plays

51 posts in this topic

Am I the only one thinking, FINALLY!!!. Everyone is picking against us, now we will start winning again. Last week in FF I said I thought that Steve Smith would play since it was so ramped up that he was unlikely to, even he said that. He would never say that, so I thought he would play being contraian. This might be the week they turn it around. Finally.

The Cardinal receivers are licking their chops, knowing their going to go against our corners, haha..

Hopefully, they won't throw another 500 yarder against us.

Ravens secondary should be cautious of where they go with there career's and lives. That should be the main focus, playing with a totally different mindset. I mean damn, if they wont do it for the Ravens, at least do it for your FAMILY!!

Bracing myself for a blowout but praying for a miracle. Never totally counting out my Ravens to pull off a shocker. Miracles do happen and I am more than ready to witness a miracle win.

Fitzgerald is still doing it and he will keep on doing it Monday night if our defense can't apply pressure on Palmer. He's always had his way with us. Probably be brutal watching Palmer light it up.

The defense should play cautious? Does it matter? This defense has given receivers a big cushion and still managed to get torched deep. It is feeling like a no win situation.

I am assuming from this statement they were not "cautious" the other 6 games? At this point, I am hoping they keep down the Cardinals enough to give the offense a chance to win. GO RAVENS!

I am sorry but.. this unit has to prove itself... they gave up 500 yds to the Browns... then Kap gave them 300 thru the air... and Carson is a much better QB than both of them... so I have this feeling that he's gonna have a career night come Monday... smh

Until our DBs turn their words into meaningful action and on a consistent basis, I have to believe nothing will change and we will once again lose to a better team. Saying the right words and actually doing it are two different things. I will be thrilled if they prove me wrong. I love my Ravens and will support them through thick and thin but this year it has been hard to stay positive. Even so, LETS GO RAVENS!!!

The deep ball cardinals offense is what we should be running with Flacco's arm if we had perriman an givens on the outside. Hopefully Webb is back cause we're gonna need him. Maybe trestman starts using Jeremy Ross an givens more instead of Marlon brown.

Josh McCown threw for almost 500 against us. I only pray Carson Palmer Dosent do the same.

We gotta get to Palmer. He ain't super man he's fragile!

There is no doubt, we are going to get torched. The players prolly know it themselves at this point. We lack guys who would stand up and make a difference. I remember when we had a down year in 2007. New England came into our house undefeated, and went on to go 16-0, but it that game Ray Lewis, and Ed Reed had this team who was out of playoff contention playing like it was the super bowl. We should have won that game, and Miami would still be the only team to go 16-0, but somehow every call/break seemed to go the Pats way. That team was 10x what this team is today.

Glad Webby's back in, but hope he's 100% so that he can do his job. Jimmy Smith can do his. I'm not sure about the rest. Secondary will do what they can do. Hope the rest of defense helps them out with some massive hits on Palmer so that he gets thrown off balance. Yes, I know how likely it is, but a girl can dream!

This is a tough game for me, the only thing I can hope for is a game that is like 57 - 45 Ravens, not practical, just hopeful. The reason is I have Palmer, Fitzgerald, and Brown on my fantasy team. I hate games like this. But I will take a Ravens win first. I know it is a different subject, but I can't control what this team really does, so I am going to sit back down a couple of cold ones and watch a football game on Monday night.

If they are not wanting to give up the big play, that means that they will line up 10yds or more off the receivers on every play which means giving up the first downs easily. Huddle up. Line up, disrupt, interrupt.

Any given Sunday. This game could swing from the most degrading blow-out of the year to Ravens pulling off their biggest upset of the year. Hoping for the latter.

Ladies and Gents can I be honest here? It's like this. I don't think we will play any better than we have. We just don't have the guys to win this game on both sides of the ball. As much as I look for the positives in most occasions for us, lets face it this will be another loss for us. Our secondary isn't that great right now. We have little to no pass rush. Our receiving corp. just isn't there. Marlon Brown will not play any better than he has, which means its going to be on Steve Smith Sr., Kamar Aiken, Crockett Gillmore, Max Williams(who I think will play much better than he's been having.), Justin Forsett, and most of all Joe Flacco. We have been hurt badly by injuries. I just don't think we have enough to go to Arizona to win this game. I want us to win, I want us to get on some type of roll, but every time it looks like things are going to get better for us another injury happens. On top of all the injuries our schedule keep us on the road. I hope we win, but I cant see it. We really need to get healthy.

Your right and that's been going on for a few years now. If the opposing team needs 8 yards the DBs line up 12 yards off him and when they need 2 yards the DBs line up 8 yards off the WRs its sickening to watch time and time again. Any one who disagrees just go back and watch the game film from the last couple of years very seldom do you see our DBs getting good jams at the line of scrimmage.
