palmer was just done for intentional grounding.

What does that have to do with Joe throwing one out the back of the EZ for at least another attempt at it?

There goes our streak, we lost by more than 6, oh well.

we have a point differential of 27 through 7 games.  We are a much better team than our record.  Although we are done this year, we will be back in the thick of things next season.  We will probably end up with a top 5-7 pick in the draft.  Right now we are tied with the Lions as the worst record in the league.

Do you mean peripheral vision? If so, probably not.

Yeah I was killing that word so bad auto correct was even at a loss.

How quickly our fortunes have changed. The Baltimore Ravens, one of the best teams in the NFL over the past decade holds the #1 pick for the 2016 NFL draft! Who would've thought that we the fans would ever see that day?

I love it when Ravens are good but with the way things are going, am rooting for #1 pick next year.

We went WR in the first... and TE...  we needed the offense... remember???

You mean when we drafted Arthur Brown 12 picks before him? ...don't remember him playing TE.

Close game. Joe played as well as he can with the crap we surround him with.

I don't think pees is soooo terrible. We have so many injured players and new players that u can't play any schemes, no stunts, cant hide coverage. Doom and hill are great. Smith and Mosley played good. The rest suck. Canty was good too.

Anyway I'm not sure if number one pick can fix this team. We need to draft well. Cut the slack and retool for the long haul. Can't surround flacco with different players and different coordinators every year.

Can't believe I stayed up until daft o'clock for Flacco to throw a game ending INT. It's actually sad that losing has become the norm.

can't throw it away inside the pocket. See Carson Palmers intentional grounding

He could have thrown it out of the endzone bc Gilmore was in there.

shoot man we were lucky flacco got us in that position in the first place. That last drive was all flacco and he kept the game alive on that 4th and one. He just couldn't take that sack - atleast he put the ball up and gave our guys a chance for it. I thought Crockett could've made a little better of an effort to go after it- but it did kinda look like the db pushed off. Of course we're not gonna get a call like that though. It always comes down to one play, and this time it was the Ross fumble.

I think the cornerback did push off on that last play, (Jefferson).  The push happened over 5 yards downfield and the ball was clearly in the air.  The push interfered with Gilmore's progress and set Jefferson up to make the interception.  It was subtle and appeared more so because Crockett is such a big man.  The zebras can't call that, but they can call a fumble when our man is down and they let a clearly over play continue when our guys let up.  As many said, if someone lays into C. Johnson at that moment its a 15 yard flag, fine and maybe an ejection.

That officiating crew was incompetent. Is that what the NFL is providing?  Where did those clowns come from?

All in all we were outplayed, though the Refs contributed to that. We came back in the end due to playing with desperation after they missed an extra point.

It's not like we will be picking a QB if we end  up with the number 1 pick.  We would most likely trade down and acquire more picks if there was a trade partner.  That being said, we will most likely win a few down the stretch and end up with 4-5 wins for the season.  That will still be a very high pick and put us into position to nail the  top CB/S/DE/WR in the draft.

this is the worst team in baltimore since the 1972 balto colts led by marty domres . ozzie needs to start drafting better the last 4 or 5 drafts suck

That is why I hope for a #1 pick, hopefully a top 3-5, which we all know Ozzie will trade to get a later first round pick plus extra picks unless there is someone he does not want taken by another team.

Realistic possibility, though I'd question if that's the route we want to go. It would depend on what you think our 2016 prospects are...

If we do respectable in FA, and are a player or two away from being quality, then drafting there makes sense. But keep in mind... if you're trading a top 3-5 pick, you'll almost certainly be selling it for high, likely multiple first rounders. However, naturally, these aren't likely to come in 2016, so you're trading for future high picks.

I'm fine with this strategy, but if the FO decides they are only a player or two away from being a contender again, then keeping the pick and getting a likely great player is wiser.

Ideally, you'd trade with another team inside the top 10 and get another 1st rounder out of it. For example, Bills moving up last season from #9 to #4 with Browns to get Watkins. Gave up two first rounders and a 4th rounder.

If they pick early as they are trending towards now then its a testament to whom they really are and that's a bad team. Therefore, take the picks as they come. They have plenty of picks at this point and have done pretty well in selecting early.
