[News] John Harbaugh: Crockett Gillmore Could Be 'One Of The Best'

47 posts in this topic

I saw the exact same thing. He was about 10 yards or so from the end zone but he was wide freakin open. I would've took my chances and thrown it to him, he probably would've bulldozed anybody that got in his way with the game on the line, I was literally yelling at the screen for him to hit Crockett.

This guy is the future. He hasn't put up the numbers yet to prove it but the eye test just tells you he's something special. He's only 3 1/2 games in this year and already I've heard dozens of comparisons to gronk. We need to get him more involved.

I don't blame him one bit but Had he just held onto that ball week one against Denver the whole season might have played out differently and he would probably be more in the national spotlight. However I'm glad he's still under the radar and kind of our secret weapon.

Very true.  Gilmore is going to be a great player.

Image him with Tom Brady. He will probably be a monster player with Brady and Gronk then us maybe a Pro Bowler. Probably 15 Tds LOL. I wish Joe could use him more cause sometimes he be open.

Gillmore has provided plenty of confidence – and a bulldozing demeanor – so far in 2015, and Harbaugh doesn’t see an end in sight.  “I’ve said many times, I love Crockett,” Harbaugh said Wednesday. “I think he’s going to be one of the best tight ends in the league with time.”

^ How can he become one of the best tight ends coach when he is barely utilized in the passing game?

One thing that stood out on the Flacco Hail Mary pass at the end of the loss to the 49ers was that Gillmore was wide open coming up the field behind the play with everyone already deep in the end zone. I know that it would have taken an incredible pass and tons of luck to complete it, but what if we didn't just heave it up for the shortest receiver on the team?

Yeah that bothered me too...I know it's a fluke play but you have 6'6" Gillmore, 6'6" Darren Waller, 6'5" Marlon Brown and you throw it to the 5' 9" guy. Same thing in the red zone, what good is a 6' 5"+ WR if you never throw him a jump ball.

Gilmore, Williams and Boyle are the answer in the REDZONE! Put One at WR you can throw him a quick pass and he muscle the CB TO the endzone! One to the corner of the endzone and out rebound the CB or safety with the muscle! Joe throws too hard so no bullets just nice passes and the TEs will get it done!

Have Gilmore run down the line and when Joe gets the ball give it to Crockett and let him stab it in the endzone! "CREATIVITY" is how you get it done! LETS GO!

Ravens over the years have had several players that "could be one of the best," but just have never stepped up and fulfilled their potential. Croc could be special, let's hope so, but time will tell.

yeah joe likes throwing those dumb loft passes so much he should be atleast lofting them to Gilmore or Waller. Stop throwing to the shortest guy in the redzone man. Common sense. Trust the other guys to get it done.

Yeah......aren't those rainbow passes to the shortest guy on the field just great? More often than not, I just cringe every time Below Average Joe flips one of those up for anyone to grab. Either that, or he throws to the other team, when no Raven is anywhere nearby. Then I read on here, by at least one purple juice guzzling fan how Flacco will be in the Pro Bowl. Now, THAT is funny. Very funny.  :26:

what's also funny is he's on pace to throw for 4200 yards- the highest of his career. Yet he seems to be having one of the worst years of his career. Weird. Everything is out of whack this year. Edited by January J

It's time for Trestman/Harbaugh to think out of the box and have their three TEs on the field at the same time. Exploit the mismatch in both run and pass.
