Week 7 Discussion (Other Teams)

339 posts in this topic

Week 7 is upon us and this season keeps going by too fast, then again considering our case we could use a Delorean to go back in time and start the season over. Anyway, and yes there will be more Back to The Future references lol. Anyway...

Key Games:

Seahawks @ 49ers: Yeah about that more Back to the Future jokes, here's another one. Remember when this so called "rivalry" was watchable? Luckily we only have to go one year back in time to last year to know that. Seahawks have fallen, 49ers suck without Jim Harbaugh(unless they play us), so now we can officially stop calling this a "rivalry" when there wasn't one to begin with!

Vikings @ Lions: Lions may not make the playoffs but could play spoiler to those trying to get in, including the Vikings who currently own the 6th seed in the NFC. Vikings sit 3-2 and need a win to at least make it look like they can dethrone Aaron Rodgers and the Pack.

Jets @ Patriots: I want to go bold and pick the Jets as my upset but I just can't. Patriots are home and this momentum by the Jets will come to a screeching stop on Sunday.

Falcons @ Titans: Looking at the Falcons schedule, they have a pretty easy schedule going forward. Then the Saints who were a one win team, beat them. So can the Titans make the upset happen and drop the Falcons to 5-2? Both teams need the win, Falcons need to keep up with the Panthers and the Titans can still win their division.

Bills @ Jaguars: To whose bright idea it was to put this game on Yahoo, terrible idea! I don't know if this game is on TV but apparently you can get up to watch it on Yahoo at 9:30a.m because well... London. Bills are in a funk, and the Jaguars are who they need to get out of that funk. I include this only because like the Titans the Jaguars can win this sucky division.

Saints @ Colts: Time to use that Delorean again. let's go back in time to Super Bowl 44. Since then, both teams are a shell of what they used to be during that time. The Saints scored their second victory of the year last week by upsetting the Falcons. The Colts still suck when playing the Patriots but they didn't lose as bad. If the Saints win, the Colts drop to 3-4 and a win by the Texans would leave the standings tied at 3-4 after 7 weeks.

Steelers @ Chiefs: I'm not holding out any hope for a upset by a team led by Alex Smith. Considering our season, I would gladly take a Chiefs win if it meant it came back to haunt the Steelers at the end of the year and miss the playoffs by one game.

Cowboys @ Giants: Joining the AFC South as this year's NFC South is the NFC East. Eagles lead the division at 3-3, with the H2H victory from last week as the tiebreaker with the 3-3 Giants. Cowboys are 2-3 and need a win before Romo/Dez returning won't help them win this horrible division.

Eagles @ Panthers: Are the Panthers getting ready to face the Eagles at the wrong time? Eagles look hot winning 2 in a row after their slow start. Panthers have a chance to become 6-0 while the Eagles need this win to stay atop the division.

I like this to happen......

Seahawks aren't a great team. They aren't much better. 49ers are tougher at home. Torrey Smith v Carry Williams. Fun!

Best matchup of the week is Bowles v Bekichick. Can't wait to see how he plays them.

After bashing him all season, the commentators are talking up how Kaepernick's been transformed by schematic changes and the like. Naturally it has nothing to do with his opposition from last week.

Kaep and SF offense is booty. They only looked decent the last couple weeks because they played the two worst pass defenses in the league.

Yep, two three-and-outs later and the commentary team is back to bagging him.

I love seeing teams that demolished our secondary get brought back down to earth. Lol

Yeah always a reality check for them for whatever reason

Kaep don't know what the hell he doing.

I used to live about 20 mins from that stadium and my mom and sisters still do, shame the bay area has priced out most people

Not to put a damper on anyone's upcoming weekend, but sitting back and watching this game, we lost to this 49ers team. It amazes me how bad we could possibly be.

Defense aside Kap is not close on any throw tonight. That's on him. This is just a bad game for him not a matter of Seattle playing great. He's not giving his team any chance. Maybe Gabbert would be an improvement .... Scarey thought.

This is depressing man. Our secondary is so awful I don't know if it will ever be fixed.

Don't like beating a dead horse but I really feel we should have won that game. The defense has to play better that, seriously pisses me off.

Wilson is just not a good QB.

He's had a top 5 rb, top 5 defense, and he really has only done two things well; scramble and make throws after scrambling

It's been over 5 years and Steven Hauschka is currently a perfect 16/16 on the season, and I still have trouble forgiving him for missing that potential game-winner against the Vikings in what would've been a comeback for the ages.
