[News] What You Missed vs. 49ers

Some of us did not miss a thing. You can go back and watch the game film on every interception Flacco has thrown this year and you will find multiple receivers wide open and waiting for the ball.

That bogus holding call on Jimmy Smith was a huge ref blunder. I hate when refs throw bad or even gray area/questionable calls when the outcome of a game could swing either way, especially late in the game. If a ref is going to throw a late game flag in a potential game changing situation, the foul should be clear and obvious. If not, don't throw it.

Thats been happening all year @old School. The receivers are open when flacco if having to back pedal immediately after getting the snap, likely because the corners recognize the pressure and sink. Also if you look at the freeze frame, there are two guys coming straight on at flacco cleanly, hes got a huge arm but theres no way he hits allen or crockett, even if the ball is on target the line of DBs he would have to throw over would be able to get there in time and likely pick it off anyway. And, meanwhile, on plays where Flacco has all day (i.e. the flea flicker), his receivers dont get any separation and he has to settle for the check down every time. There were a string of like 4 plays in a row where he passed it to the RB out of necessity because the WR's (SSS not included) cant get open

Why do refs make game changing calls like that? Its absurd at this point, and btw Arizona is going to slaughter us especially after their loss.

It thats pressure we should have used that same principle as the 49ers and used extra blockers it would have given joe time to see those open wideouts over the last few games because ppl want to blame the recievers when in actuality its the oline cant hold off the pressure for a easy touch down

Regarding Joe's horrendous interception, if Joe had seen Gillmore wide open and gotten the ball to him on the 27 yard line, only 1 defender had a real chance of stopping Crockett. In fact, it's likely that Gillmore would have just run the defender over or dragged him along in to the endzone. I hope Joe seeks Gillmore out more, like he looks for SSS. Crockett is our #2 weapon and he needs to utilized more by Trestman as well.

Hey Garrett first of all you do a great job with this segment. However, can we please reserve them only for victory break downs? It just feels like I hurt all over again after reading this!

As many times as I've seen the refs hurt us, and we all know it happens all the time, I'll be eternally grateful that they got the call right at the end of Super Bowl XLVII.

Good work Garrett. those 2 calls were blatant. Refs make calls when they want 2. that's why us as fans get so frustrated. No accountability what so ever. These teams and players put in a lot of hard work and simple calls like that can cost you a game. Unacceptable.

Is it me or does it seems like their is a flag on just about every punt across the league? Crazy it seems that way to me.

The people that don't want to see it won't man, and there's nothing you can do to change those people's minds. Trust me I've tried. It will always be the lines fault, or the WR fault, or the OC's fault... it's some kind of weird phenomenon that keeps them from putting it on Flacco. Watch this thread they'll be coming out real soon.

Boldin, what are you doing driving Arrington's all the way to the ground? lol. We are lucky Arrington's head didn't completely disappear and get buried under a sink hole in that crappy turf. Boldin, you lucked out on that blatant foul non call for sure. Guess the refs were saving the flag for that moronic call on Jimmy.

The last time the Ravens looked this bad was the 2007 season where they went 5-11 and head coach Brian Billick was fired at the end of it. Can any fan of the Baltimore Ravens look at the schedule and point out 4 more wins for this team as it stands now?

I guess its as if he pulls the trigger too soon.He doesn't allow options in a micro second.   Tough for him when last year he had the mojo.  He envisioned multiple plays gaining but now he hopes for them to succeed .

Refs sucked up to the home team.  Remember those days?

We know the refs routinely screw the Ravens without a moment's hesitation so no surprise there. But Joe's bonehead moments are seriously costly. No veteran QB -- much less a SB MVP winning QB -- should make some of the mistakes he makes weekly. I genuinely don't get that. It makes it so much harder to stay in his corner when the criticism comes pouring in. And the back foot throws are atrocious.

What did we miss Sunday....We missed our old Rex Ryan Defense, missed Anquan and Torrey wearing Purple, we missed Suggs, we missed The 2012 Flacco, not sure exactly what happened to our team...we can go to a Jaguars game and get this kind of performance

It seems like every time we run a play action there's a defender directly in joes face. But regardless that one interception was absolutely god awful and probably the worst I've seen all year by any qb next to Brian hoyers duck fart that lost the game they played against Indy.

As far as the call on jimmy- we always get burnt by atleast one horrible call every game that usually hurts us pretty badly. Not an excuse for losing - but it certainly doesn't help. Seems like this year if it wasn't that it would've been something else.

At least in 2007 we still had a Defense that was entertaining. Amazing how Joe is doing a great imitation of Boller. Our secondary didn't get torched every game either. This is worst team in the History of the Ravens and it makes me so sad.

How can Albert McClellans performance not be on this list? His first game as OLB and he did great, almost came up with an early INT when he read the eyes of Kaepernick and jumped up to grab it and as you can clearly see in the replay of Williams blowing up the Hyde run it was actually McClellan that blew Vernon Davis back into Hyde forcing him up instead of where the play originally was going. Hopefully he gets more playing time going forward and has a chance to shine.

I don't know why, but the Ravens never seem to be able to finish a play on defense. They always have x amount of dropped or near INTs, missed fumble recoveries and that compounds all their problems.
