if Joe's asking price is to rich.....

18 posts in this topic

do you trade down for a good qb that allows you to afford other pieces. i'm a joe fan. I saw him play at Delaware but when you throw that kind of interception that he threw against SF in your 8th year in the league you shouldn't break the bank to sign him.

RIGHT PLAYER, RIGHT PRICE.

do you trade for sanchez or bortles or tannerhill. if Baltimore goes back to its roots its about a good running game a great defense and a game manager. see trent dilfer.

i'm a big flacco fan but only at the right price.

do you think this idea is a possible scenario with newsome or bisciotti?

If Joe's asking price was really that rich (which it won't be), then you just don't do anything and you play out the year under his $28M cap hit.

He's still under contract.

Not even worth having the discussion.

For the record... can you quantity exactly what "too rich" would be? (I'm sure this will bring out the clowns who think they're all overpaid or that he should be making like $10M a year, both of which are invalid arguments).

Also, this thread is going to get locked in about a minute...

Flacco is signed through 2018 I believe with this being the first shocker at a cap hit of 28mil. hopefully we can extend maybe add a few more years and get the cap back down again to add some players we need. with all the dead money we would have he isn't going anywhere and we are not trading our superbowl MVP QB you don't just find those laying around and we definitely not cutting him. Need to rework/ extend his deal which Im pretty sure was the game plan going into this with how back loaded the deal was to begin with.

He's a Raven for at least the next two years. Most likely the next five-seven. Have you seen what the cap hit would be next season if we cut or trade him? He may not be the richest QB anymore, but his deal is certainly still among the most player-friendly. Start liking him, or restart liking him, because he's the Ravens QB for the foreseeable future.

Locking this...  it's not a relevant thread, and  there are other threads regarding Joe Flacco., misconceptions about him, and regarding his salary and restructure.
