37 posts in this topic

Carson Palmer dream has come thru. Monday night, against a very bad Ravens secondary with no pass rush. His revenge could turn out to be so sweet for him. This could be the IMPLOSION game for the Ravens. This is going to be a game were every second Ravens fans are holding their breaths.

The negativity in this fanbase is unbearable. It's ugly right now, yes, but you'd think this team had never graced success and every member is entirely incompetent. Have some guts and believe in the guys who brought us a Super Bowl ONLY TWO YEARS AGO! (Pees has to go though)

Yes.  We have had success for a long time.  But we had key veterans who have either retired or been sent packing in free agency, as well as talented young players who have also been lost in free agency.  That being said, there are glaring issues with specific portions of this team.  Namely the DBs and WRs.  Why is that?  Injuries?  Part of it.  Lack of talent?  Maybe.  Lack of player development and coaching in those areas?  Another possibility. I'd like to give Trestman and his crew, as well as Harbs, the benefit of the doubt.  But I agree with the sentiment on Pees. He's just a bad DC IMO. I'm still scratching my head on 2 plays in the SF game:  1st, going straight man on Torrey with no safety help - touchdown.  2nd, blitzing the corner that was on Boldin in the slot on a key 3rd down and expecting Daryl Smith to cover around 10 yards to pick up the coverage.  Boldin has a free release, easy catch, 15 yard gain and a 1st down.  What the heck is this guy thinking?

Alright, looking back on the history and success of this team quite naturally the 1st.thing we think of all the great players that have blessed us with their hard, dedicated and tenacious attitudes. Then I think of the behind scenes, all the intelligent, dedicated and tenacious coaches we were also blessed with.Which leads to the obvious conclusion. Hmmmmmmmmmm?!?!?!?!?

I still have hope for shareece wright ... only problem is that i have zero hope for PEAS... anyone with an 8th grade education knows you can't play a speed guy like Torrey w/o having a Saftey over top. the whole league knows that CJ Mosley suffers against the pass... and yet we don't see adjustments. We see musical chairs / but we can't even blame this years' poor DB play on injuries... the one man we expected to be out the door (an aging Webbie) is actually playing the best / so odd... it's just like SSSr, who is the smallest, oldest and most injured of our WR's and he's killing it). I'm not saying our Defense is a Bentley (when it comes to talent), but we definitely have an Audi... and with the right driver, we could be looking much better. We need a better driver behind the wheel.

Cars like that are constantly in the repair shop.

Yep..  Boldin. being the wily veteran was in the right place right time exposing the Strategy Pees creates.
