But.....

Brady has no postseason road wins cause his team always secures home field advantage through the playoffs and the Ravens don't or haven't......lol

So that means that Joe has had 3 home wins since 2008 and Brady has 4.

I don't put much into head to head player comparisons, just thought it was cool because I'm a Flacco fan and despise Brady and everything he stands for. I also think he is the most over rated NFL player in the history of the game.

He may be a hot head and a whiny little baby, but dude can play.

Haven't we only had 2 home playoff games since Flacco got here?

I'm just basing off that it says his record is 10-4 and he has 7 road wins. I could be wrong. Edited by ludy51

I'd guess the SB.

Has to be. That number was messing with me too. Only home games we've had were Colts and Texans.

For me it is Marlon Brown as well. When i first saw him on the field i thought now there is our next new go to guy to move the chains. I thought he had good reaction after a catch to gain the extra yardage etc. But he never took the next step to become reliable. His routes are awful, his hands are a mess at times and he just does not seem to have what it takes to get to the next level.

the entire secondary, but most importantly our DBs who dont know how to turn back for the football..is it lazy? do they not know how? do they not care? Jimmy Smith could have had 3 or 4 more INTs if he would play better technique....

you see lesser guys on other teams making these plays...how is it none of our guys can do this? we just face guard and get flags thrown

If you are referring to the lack of home playoff games as a negative, I could agree if they played in the same division. One of their teams has a gravy schedule year, after year, after year. Not hard to figure out which one that is!   lol

Again...that depends on how you look at it....

Not only that, but winning on the road is usually a bit tougher than at home, especially come playoff time..just look at last week, all four games, home team won (and by one score or less)

I'm not going to dent he can't play here, but when I watch the Pats, the play calling makes it so easy for him. 90 percent of his throws seem like three step drops and go no more than 8 yards past the line of scrimmage.

He does that extremely well because he has a quick drop and exquisite accuracy, but he doesn't seem to be asked to do a lot else.

Spot on. I've been saying this for years but so many buy into the media hype of his play. Yes brady can play football, but his name should never be brought up as being one of the best. He certainly has one of the best quick release passes, but he is missing too many other attributes to be compared to the best. And he is soft as a baby's behind.

I prefer looking at it through purple shades (i.e. anything that remotely portrays one of our guys in a positive light)  :268213:

Let's hope Frazier can clear that crap up. Agree, that poor technique was hugely frustrating this year.

mat cassel looked pretty damn good in that system. I've always made the same argument as you. Glad I'm not the only one.

can i ask compared to who did he look good in that system.

he was alright but compared to what brady did he looked pretty avg lol.

compare brady stats in 2007 to those of cassel in 2008 and tell me he still looked pretty darn good.

same players , same system -> worlds apart in production.

cassel might have looked good compared to most QBs in the NFL but compared to brady it was avg at best.

This was my point.  Cassel still had them at 11-5 because the system allowed him to.  I would never say Cassel is a good qb, rather he looked good in that system.

but he did not look good lol.

11-5 is a big drop off from 16-0 and stat wise cassel was a huge drop off from brady and its why they missed the play off for the first time in quite a while.

people put to  much emphasis on the system as the reason for their succes neglecting that the skill of the QB is the main instrument that makes it work.

11-5 missing the playoffs is not a normal thing i'd say, i think most would agree on that.  Maybe his starts were a little worse than i thought, but im for sure not taking anything away from Brady, even though he's a whiny baby.

they where far worse then those of brady lol.

brady had 4806 yards 50 TD and 8 INT and they went 16-0 and made SB.

cassel had 3693 yards 21 TD and 11 INT and they went 11-5 and missed play offs.

people are taking a lot away from brady crediting the system as the main factor TBH.

yesyes, Brady is far superior. Not arguing that.

After the last 2 weeks of play-offs i have to say that everyone was right with Flacco. I think me for one had put expectations up that were not only unrealistic but was making comparisons that were wrong from the get go. Manning, Rogers etc played awful over the last 2 weeks and showed me that Joe really is playing just as good as any other quarterback in the league.

The only difference is the system which they play in and poor Joe has had to change systems way to frequently and that just shows how flexible and talented he really is. My apologies to Joe and all of you who i may have offended by making unreal and untrue statements or judgements.

Why not compare him to 2009 Brady instead?

2009 Brady:  4,398 yards, 28 TD 13 INT  10-6 record

Not much difference at all

because that won't support his argument.

To be fair and accurate, that stat line is worlds apart from Cassels in 2008.
