He is solid on special teams and he gives depth at corner,

 

How about starting all cuts in the receiver department.  Those guys can be rolled in and out until you find a good fit.

I wonder how much coverage sacks will be allowed with Smitty being out. I mean these WRs are kind of bad. I'm curious as to how Marlon Brown made it this far, the guy just blocks and drops balls and Aiken shouldn't be starting at all. This would happen to pretty much any team that's hurt on the WR end. I think Steve Smith Sr. and Breshad Perriman would make a deadly duo....add in Camp and Aiken as #3 and 4 and that's a damn good group.

What I never understood, before the zuttah injury is why coaching did not insert Urschel at rg, Yanda over to LG and Osemele kick out to left tackle?? Osemele is a pro bowl caliber guard and should be at least serviceable at tackle. I know there are scouts that believed Osemele would end up as the best left tackle in the draft after some coaching up his technique. Would not hurt to try it. How much worse could he be than Hurst??!!

As for who to blame. Joe Cool and Trestman should be the last to carry blame!! For what Joe and Trestman had to work with how much better could the offense be?? Come on fans got excited about a receiver buried on the rams depth chart about to be cut!! Kenny Britt was playing before Givens!! We can keep giving names like Jimmy,webb,pitta,arrington,monroe,Hurst,Rice,Lewis,Elam,failed Givens experiment, Perrimans Injury and presumed knee problems,Suggs injury. No deep threat, no toughness, Dean Pees, harbaugh,Trestman. I know fans do not wanna hear it but Ozzie is the decision maker!! And he no longer is surrounded by the crew and scouts belichick put together that advised him. His own admission he learned bpa from belichick and others. And oz has drifted away from that and making desperation picks to replace retired and departed pro bowlers at the last second.

Suggs did get hurt week one. Can not take that from oz. BUT at going on 34 yrs old there is no guarantee Suggs is the difference maker he was. AND where is the young explosive edge rusher to learn behind Suggs??!! It would be cool to have a young raw explosive edge rusher to learn technique from Suggs.Oh that is right, it does not ever cross his mind to replace players until they actually do retire. I dunno,Unless he was nieve enough to actually think Upshaw is an edge rusher of the future!! And please nobody say oz did not think Upshaw would be a good edge rusher!! That he was drafted #1 overall to set the edge. Because he can't even do that very well!! And oz said publicly we picked up an extra pick and feel like we got the best edge rusher in the draft. He overlooked the fact that Reed was old and Harrison Smith would become the new best safety!! Once again oz seemed to think a pro bowl player would play until he is 40!! He also had zero insight and was completely clueless that Kruger would actually be an upgrade over Johnson. He should of traded up for Chandler Jones who is the hard competitor and vocal leader needed!! Or simply of drafted Harrison Smith!! But Ozzie's flock wants to give him ANOTHER get out of jail free.

His terrible signings and drafts get excused as well!! On what grounds?? That he is incompetent and it is not his fault he does not know who will play well or get hurt?? Pitta and Jimmy on I.r. could of have been his first clue. And Jimmy was wildly inconsistent to begin with. Monroe was inconsistent as well. The jaguars knew he wasn't worth a big contract. Nobody trades a young very good LT for mid\late round draft picks. Ray Rice was beginning to lose burst as well and carried a heavy workload since college. He should never have got that big contract!! Especially with the ravens locked in. He was slowing down and would still be useless and on the books even if he did not KO his wife and act like he didn't care if she was hurt. Arrington was good for certain roles in patsies scheme.

Let's not get started on terrible drafting since 2010. Perrimans injury can be used as an excuse as much as Ozzie's flock of homers would like to believe. Everybody casts him as an excuse as if he is a legit NFL receiver not in the lineup. Some Peeps have him penciled in as a pro bowler missing from the lineup!! When in reality most did not feel he was a round1 talent.And is a colossal reach Only reason there are high hopes for perriman is because he was a round1 pick and ran aa fast 40 at his pro day. Everybody talks fire Dean Pees. As if it is his fault Jimmy was payed more than he is worth,Elam,Brown and Upshaw are busts, Daryl Smith was counted on regardless of his age and how slow he looked. And no decent defensive backs have been drafted in 6 drafts now. And no explosive young edge rushers are on the roster g

To learn from and replace Suggs. Maybe Dean Pees should be fired. But how is he to shoulder all the blame?? I am going to guess Ozzie just needs better advisors or role models again?? Not saying fire him yet. But he needs to get some more scouts and be more aggressive for players the team believes in. Next best player could mean difference in pro bowler and bust\mediocre player.

Camp- can't stay healthy 

 

Kendrick Lewis- Brings nothing to our defense

 

Pitta- Time is up on his recovery.  We need to move on 

 

Daryl Smith - time is catching up to him.

 

Schaub-  Why was he ever here? 

 

Marlon Brown- time to move on past this project.

 

Juice- If he's not playing special teams, we don't use him properly. I love the guy. But if he can't carve out a role for himself or we can't do it for him , then i think carrying the dead weight is ultimately hurting our team. 

 

Canty - Just exit 

 

Upshaw- Plays good against the run, just terrible in the passing game. 

 

LT-  Big back with a little upside if he can stay healthy.  I just wouldn't be opposed to get a game changer at the running back position. Forsett is also a victim under this criteria.

I'd think we've had better defenses. I say this because people here are quick to bring up stength of schedule or competition, until it comes to qb play. Minus the 14 season, Brady has had a tougher task against us in the post season(H2H).

I don't put much into head to head player comparisons, just thought it was cool because I'm a Flacco fan and despise Brady and everything he stands for. I also think he is the most over rated NFL player in the history of the game.

If you are referring to the lack of home playoff games as a negative, I could agree if they played in the same division. One of their teams has a gravy schedule year, after year, after year. Not hard to figure out which one that is!   lol
