Let's Complain about someone other than Joe.....

181 posts in this topic

So we all know that bashing and defending Joe is a favorite past time around here and the infinite number of threads proves that out.

So, in the spirit of giving us equal opportunity - pick the player you are just so mad at lately that you can hardly look at him!

I will start......JIMMY SMITH.

If anyone drives me more crazy that this highly paid and touted defender I can't think of them.  He is so terribly inconsistent I can hardly stand to see the number 22 and not curse.  Yesterday he had a ball thrown DIRECTLY TO HIM and he drops it.  It leads to points and gets us behind.  At times he makes a play - but he is far from the shut down corner many claim him to be.

WHO IS ON YOUR LIST?????

Dean Pees, I hope he isn't here going into the draft, I really hope we can someone who knows defense and defensive players.  It doesn't help the fact Joe has no playmakers on offense, our wideout corps stinks, besides Steve Smith.  I don't blame Joe I blame basically the entire team... no one is playing well, no one is making good calls.

Marlon brown. I want him out of here. I mean damn the kid finally had a chance for a td and Aiken steals it from him, and I'm kind of glad bc my guess is he would've dropped it.

Jimmy is def in my dog house.  He just hasnt looked the same since that one year, now we have a contract to live with.

MBrown- been saying it all along that he shouldnt be here, but we have no one else

Camp- The guy looks awesome when he plays, but that when just isnt enough

SSR- drops, but we all know hes had that issue.

Returner- I think Ross may be our fix, but i was extremely frustated when we let jacoby go considering how much of a difference he can make.

Dean Pees and Trestman.

I believe it starts with the coaching. I believe if we had a Rex Ryan or a Pagano, our defense would be crushing it, because people would buy in. We have neither obviously, they're both head coaches. But we need someone our D can believe in.

Trestman just isn't a fit. He doesn't know a balanced attack and won't know if it hits him in the butt. Trestman would be amazing with a QB like a Manning in his prime or Brady or Rodgers. They air it the hell out and they do good doing it. Flacco needs a running game. Period, and Trestman isn't coaching it well.

Guarantee you, if we don't lose Kubiak this past off season, we're at least .500.

Flacco doesn't really get a lot of heat on these boards, most of these posters place the blame on pees, our db's, and our wr's, and rightfully so, while flacco tends to catch heat for the things he deserves to catch heat for.

And yea, Marlin brown is awful and I have been saying it since last preseason

Marlon. He just looks lost and disinterested. He has been here the longest out of our WRs, but that means nothing because the guy is just terrible. Give him his pink slip and bring up Butler.

Kamar Aiken - 8 targets, 3 catches

Marlon Brown - 4 targets, 1 catch

The only two players outside of 3rd string RB, rookie Buck Allen to catch less than 50% of their targets yesterday yet they are #2 and #3 on the depth chart and people wonder why the offense isn't consistent.  Marlon has NEVER caught more than 50% this season and Kamar has done it only twice while not getting a single target in another game.  Joe's lowest completion percentages go to these two out of every offensive target including rookies and newly acquired players.

In addition to them, I don't care to see Kendrick Lewis on the field anymore (who's injured now so I may not) or Shareece Wright.  Jimmy is creeping onto my list slowly as well

Marlon sucks

C.J is having an impressive sophomore slump

Harbs can't get this team to care

Wagner was a one hit wonder.

Jimmy Smith is overpaid

I'm really disappointed in Jimmy as well.  AJ Green totally embarrassed him.  He let a slow Anquan Boldin out run him for a 45+ reception yesterday.  The holding call after the 3rd down stop (bad call IMO) the last few minutes of the game made us lose about 1:30 that we desperately needed on that last drive.

Whomever is assessing draft prospects, especially WR.

This franchise needs to get someone that can properly analyze WR draft talent.

I am so sick of WR be a consistent issue year in and year out with this team. We can pick great veteran WRs, but we are seriously missing the mark drafting WRs.

I'm all for the underdog and picking up UDFA, but you either have it or you don't at this point for some of these UDFA players.

I just cant believe we're here. SB Champs a few years ago, playoffs last year with a decimated team and now this? 1-5 and looking at a top 3 pick? Losing 5 games by a total of 22 points? Wow!!

I wont complain about any one player here, but wow!

It's hard to.

Imagine if they pulled that last drive at home!

And the reality is... while you can make the case that we could be like 4-2 or maybe even better, given the way our games have ended, the ONLY team we beat on the football field was a Michael Vick led offense on a short week, and we basically only one that game because we won a kicking competition.

We are unbelievably close to being a win-less team... probably for the first two full months of the season. That's how far we have fallen off the tracks.

Pees- Who's quote of "You can't judge a defense by just one game" was nothing more than a worthless sound bite, because he has no answers.

Perriman- who prolly has more mental problems than physical, as only an operation would keep you out this long.

The coaching staff as a whole- for not seeing our problems in preseason and dealing with it them.

OP wanted to know a player, don't know why people keep answering w/ a coach.

Courtney Upshaw. Dude seriously looks slow. Looks like he needs to make better dietary decisions.

Even JJ looked faster when he was totally gassed out that one game a few years back when the Defense was on the field for what felt like almost 3/4 of the game. Can't recall who it was against.

I'm also gonna say Jernigan has been a disappointment.  Granted he had a sack yesterday, but he's basically been a non-factor since week 2.  So much so, that he lost his spot to Karl Davis.

More appropriate to pick out the few players who don't deserve to get bashed. On offense... Yanda, Juice, our TEs, SSS (despite a couple drops, we'd be so much worse without him). On defense....... Guy, Williams....honestly can't think of any others.

I think it was vs texans, wasn't it? At reliant stadium? We almost lost but schaub threw that pick at the end of the game

But yeah, upshaw is constantly overweight but then everyone acts like its a mystery why he can't get to the quarterback

Its pretty unbelievable and I would have never guessed a 1-5 (healthy Ben, 0-6) start!

The O-line played well also.

CJ Moseley has played pretty poor this year compared to last. He has been a negative factor in far too many big plays during our losses for someone we are counting on to lead the defense far into the future. Blown coverages, missed tackles, not shedding blocks, etc. I have been really disappointed with our whole LB corps, but he stands out.

Same. There are so many bad teams with bad HCs, he might have another shot somewhere else. Too early to tell.

I honestly think Chris Hewitt needs to be taken out of Ravens organization and see how we do. I think it will do wonders if we grab the right secondary coach.

I find it hilarious that this fanbase only cares about assistant position coaches when that position is struggling..

Nope. Many of us are huge fans of Clarence Brooks
