[News] Joe Flacco: Starts With Me Not Making 'Stupid' Mistakes

98 posts in this topic

I feel bad for Flacco, mostly because no one is ever open for the most part when he decides to throw other than SSS with a messed up back. Which in time then forces Flacco to make stupid throws. Give Joe weapons and if he still struggles then we'll put the blame on him.

The woulda-coulda-shoulda season continues. Outscored in the first half 81-50 through 6 games. Led just once at the half. Without a shut down defense, we can't climb back. And the lethargic, ineffective offense for the first half doesn't get going until it is too late. In game adjustments aren't effective for the current game. After practicing them for a week, maybe we can use them during the next game's 2nd half. Maybe we should start warming up earlier so that we aren't still in that mode for most of the first half.

Really Joe? Cuz....not sure if you've noticed, but you've been making them since your rookie year, on a regular basis. And most especially since 2013.

What's wrong with Joe? Over throws, under throws, interceptions. Not worth what we're paying him for sure. Are we really sure we are better with him than without him? I get that he has the worst receivers in the league but Come On Man! He zero's in on one guy and that's it. His decision making leaves a lot to be desired and he is 8 year veteran not a rookie. I was expecting so much more from Joe. What was his Wonderlic score? It would be interesting to know?

Our Quarterback whisperer is not, apparently, enforcing proper mechanics or decision making. Flacco isn't stepping up in the pocket, is holding the ball too long, and is throwing off his back foot again. Terrible.

PalmBay: Flacco's Wonderlic was a 27. Slightly better than Carson Palmer (26) and Roethlisberger (25), but way below Eli (39), Romo (37), Rodgers (35) and Brady (33).

8th year and Flacco's play is still dictated by his coordinator. Kubiak finally got the back foot issue corrected last year, and this year he regresses right back. In his 8th year he should be running the show...HE'S NOT! I try my best to ride for Flacco but the sheer fact that he cannot elevate a no name offense yet concerns me. When Brady lost Moss and a handfull of other players, he created Gronk and made names for no names such as Edlemen. Rodgers lose players every year and makes no names look good. But yet all I keep hearing is how we need to surround Flacco with weapons. While I do agree, if you're being paid 120 million, you need to be able to adjust to the FO's not so smart conditions. And for the love of God stop with the stupid interceptions!!!

Trestman is not an offensive genius,Flacco is not an elite QB,Steve Smith can't quit,Dean Pees is saddled with DBs that proved to other teams they can't play. "If" Suggs going out has revealed that the core of our defense is all smoke and mirrors then the blame for this season rests with Ozzie&John. I predicted 6-10 with our schedule and Kubiak leaving, now that looks like a pipe dream 4-12...............maybe with luck we'll win 5 more games but that looks impossible. You're never as good as you look winning or as bad as WE looked yesterday but the 49ers as a barometer sort of shows one draft won't fix this team.

Matt would win his first start with the Ravens and Marlon would have a career day! Joe is DONE! Can't blame Harbs, Pees, blocking and the WRs for not one but TWO INTS! Let Matt start Let Matt start!

The Ravens have to consider giving Flacco significantly less money when they do their restructure for two reasons. 1: less of these overinflated contracts is always a positive for everyteam and frees up resources for say a solid WR or CB. 2: Joe just isnt earning his contract and the Ravens must realize this. Alot of fans are blinded by their desperation to have a franchise QB and while make up constant excuses, hopefully the organization is not. While joe is a good QB he is far from great and even further from earning the money he is getting paid......... If he decides he doesnt want to restructure than were screwed because Joe needs a succesful run game to be anywhere near a quality QB and that wont be an option with this defense putting us in holes

Some plays Flacco has made through his career are just plain idiotic. Like the interception he threw off his back foot! He has been playing worse this year than his rookie year and that is shocking. I for one thought in all seriousness this was the year Flacco would be a MVP candidate by throwing over 4500 yds with 30 TD and less than 10 INTs for the season and leading us to the sB! That is Koolaid drinking that I regret very much. I had just lost a sense of reality about our Ravens I suppose. I just thought they would get it done one way or the other but I was wrong big time. These 2015 Ravens have been atrocious. They haven't shown heart and grit like the Ravens of old. I never much bought into locker room leadership including in the Ray Lewis era. Boy was I wrong again! This team has no leaders or men with grit with the exception of Steve Smith a recent import. It is sad to see the history of our great franchise being vilified and mocked nation wide. Thank you coaches and players alike.

What in the world made you think that with the WR and TE corp we went into the season with?I'm not trying to be antagonistic,I'm just dumb founded that you and a lot of others actually thought we had that type of passing attack.

The alternative of not paying him is exponentially more expensive than the money you would pay him.

@mcjacket23, not sure I agree with you on this so can you explain why you say that.

Hope we get Pitta back soon, that would give Joe a needed confidence boost. His self-called "stupid mistakes" are a result of being overly cautious instead of attacking it with confidence.

Just goes to show Joe can throw 8 INTS and people will still blame everyone and their momma! Just like against the pats blamed Torrey instead of the man that threw the pass! Joe gotta go or just keep finding other people to blame! Let Matt start!

On the interception thrown to no-where. Joe was saying.....I don't care and really don't want to be here. Then he comes out in the 2nd half and plays fairly well. Its like Groundhogs Day. Don't care, play well, LOSE another close one. Anyone who didn't know the season was over last week....knows it now. Go Ravens, we will be watching and rooting next week, and hope we live to see next season.

I said it yesterday that if throws another INT they need to take him out the Moderator removed my post and before he removed it Joe threw another INT! The QB makes or breaks a team well the Ravens are broken and Joe will continue to throw picks he tried to fit it between TWO MLBS standing rite there it was a gift just like costing Triple " S " his ring last season against the pats!

Well there you go it explains a lot. Pretty sure Ryan Fitzpatrick (Jets) has the highest score ever. Joe just doen't have it mentally along with no receivers. Not sure we are better with him than without him considering how much we are paying him?

He probably thought this before Perriman was injured.  With Flacco 14yds short of 4000 last year, a lot of us had high hopes for our offense prior to the start of the season.  I mean with; a good returning O-Line, SSS, Forsett, Perriman and our new TEs, I could see why most projected Flacco to have a career year.  Unfortunately, injuries, inconsistent play and bad decisions (coaches and players) have caused us to be where we are today, 1-5.

This Arizona game is not going to be pretty...

I imagine Carson Palmer is having flashbacks about the good ol' Bengals days right now as we speak.

Also, note that he threw for 421 yards against the Steelers in Heinz Field yesterday too......

Stop throwing off your back foot for one. And learn to throw the football away when not it's there. Football 101! And the last drive, what, we don't have plays that go to the side line?

Can't blame the Defense it up there in black and white TWO turnovers in Raven territory and they held the 49ers to six points but that's Pees fault huh?! NOT! Joe has peaked and to blame Harbs , Pees, blocking and the WRs is getting old Joe expects the wall of china in the NFL and it doesn't exist all the other QBs move around in the pocket to get plays going but he just wants to drop and pass and defenses around the league got him figured out and they are shutting him down! Those INTS are costly even the one that cost the Ravens a Super Bowl last season! How many more will it take before it gets through to some of yall to see he is done or just keep blaming everyone but!

Joe looked great during the hurry up offense on our last scoring drive.  I just don't understand the inconsistencies.

Good Flacco is very good, but bad Flacco is horrid!!
