[News] Joe Flacco: Starts With Me Not Making 'Stupid' Mistakes

98 posts in this topic

Joe needs to be better and should be way better, but he's not going to carry a team week in and week out. He is an awesome NFL QB, but without a Stud RB, a Beast TE, a WR who can stretch and a slot WR to move the chains, and a Defense that can cover for a mistake or 2 each week, and a special teams squad that can give him better field Position, and an OC that can call a game, Than Joe becomes very average.

suddenly elite Joe, or better yet average Joe. The season is over after 6 games. Time to find out which players are only playing for money and which are not. Its hard to believe Peas will be around after this season.

Dude, just give some money back, and we will buy you a #1 receiver, you will look great, and you will get the money back in endorsement deals, once you start looking like SB MVP Joe again. Ripken did the Milk commercials, Haloti did RF chicken,Peyton did Papa Johns, how much do you need?

I dont care who you are... YOUR Not great ALONE! Im a Packers fan aswell so Im riding with the Pack this year since Ravens let me down. And its widely known Rodgers is best player in world.... But though he is injured Jordy Nelson is a great WR with or without Rodgers, Eddie Lacy is great with or without Rodgers. Cobb is great with or without Rodgers.. Those guys are individually great players. Just like Gronk is great with or without Tom Shady, Amendola and Edelman are great with or without Tom Shady.. They are great individual players..

Perfect example look at Drew Brees... He didnt fall off... He lost Darren Sproles, Jimmy Graham, Reggie Bush etc over last 4-5 yrs on offense now their main threat is Cooks. So you go from having 4to 5 weapons to 1 great weapon.

Its no different with FLACCO...he has GARBAGE around him except Smith sr...

Nobody is going to make Aiken or Brown consistantly get open... They arent good.

Straight Garbage

No doubt there will be a Restructure to a team friendly deal. I expect a big signing bonus and guaranteed money, that way lower cap number. And Avg cap number in the 15 mil range for Flacco. Tucker and Flacco restructure.. Two biggest deals now that Yanda is done. Oh and figure out Pitta situation PLEASE!! Let him play or give him a go away injury settlement check. Thanks for the SB Pitta

Blaming Harbs, Pees, blocking and the WRs isn't gonna cut it Joe Flacco is killing this team "FLATOUT"! Defense held them to FGs and people still blame Pees Nope Nope Nope guess Pees threw the ball "DIRECTLY" to a 49er or I guess Harbs ,Pees, blocking and the WRs tried to throw the ball between not one but TWO MLBs! Cost the Ravens and Triple " S " a Super Bowl last season with that crap everyone blamed Torrey now blaming everyone and they momma but the QB gotta stop! He doesn't want to be a leader of the Ravens but will lead in "EXCUSES"! Let Matt start I guarantee he will win birthday continue passing the blame around! Red me up guess some will think I'm to blame as well!

Some plays Flacco has made through his career are just plain idiotic. Like the interception he threw off his back foot! He has been playing worse this year than his rookie year and that is shocking. I for one thought in all seriousness this was the year Flacco would be a MVP candidate by throwing over 4500 yds with 30 TD and less than 10 INTs for the season and leading us to the sB! That is Koolaid drinking that I regret very much. I had just lost a sense of reality about our Ravens I suppose. I just thought they would get it done one way or the other but I was wrong big time. These 2015 Ravens have been atrocious. They haven't shown heart and grit like the Ravens of old. I never much bought into locker room leadership including in the Ray Lewis era. Boy was I wrong again! This team has no leaders or men with grit with the exception of Steve Smith a recent import. It is sad to see the history of our great franchise being vilified and mocked nation wide. Thank you coaches and players alike.

If you think Flacco and his agent won't dig their heels in the sand and demand to be paid like the highest paid QB in the league regardless of whether we are 4-12 or 1-15 is pure naivete. It doesn't matter how poorly Flacco has played or how many games he single handedly lost us this year, he will want to and get paid over 22MM per year. The Ravens have come to believe they have no chance without Flacco and they will acquiesce to all his demands in a negotiated contract. But, no matter what this is the streaky Flacco we'll get till he suits up for the Ravens.

This is how I'm feeling across the board. Just ashamed. If I was still there to go to games......I'd be wearing a bag.

I really thought we'd see Joe eventually take steps forward and achieve over 4,000 yards and 30 TDs at some point in the near future, but those seem like dreams. I'm confused....is he the SB MVP or the bumbling player with the deer in the headlights look Ed Reed told us about? What in the world is going on that he is making such dumb, dumb, dumb decisions? Pressing is one thing, but to make some of these idiotic plays is just mind boggling.

Yeah, Joe is good he's not elite but he's good, and he's only as good as the people around him, and there's nobody around him but Smith Sr., and in the NFL you need more than one good player!!! All our good players we given away or cut, I mean what did the Ravens expect, for you can't do something with nothing, I guess they know that now hu!!!

Joe has a bad QB coach this year. He needs 1. His footwork fixed and drilled like last year. 2. A lookoff, pump fake, or both. He is staring down his receivers even more than he used to. A qb coach that can't fix that should be canned immediately. The current coach is just here for another coaching job in the Ravens carousel. Beyond Useless.

The footwork! How many games is he constantly throwing off his back foot? All of them this year. His position coach is too stupid and inept not to notice that and fix it. Yes Gary took his staff but that should be something they would remember to implement. It was critical to Gary's system. It is gone this year. Denison would have fixed it at halftime game one.

Fix those things and Joe is looking as good as last year in a more pass friendly system. Interceptions and weird off timed throws are gone.

How many times have you heard Flacco make the same statement after these atrocious and idiotic INTs. Does it change? Nope.

Did anybody else hear Flacco stop short of saying 'we aren't a good team'?? Don't stop. Just go ahead and say it Joe!

Man it was just last week my comment of Joe is an average QB playing poorly and part of the problem that went -10 on here... And also that we don't need to pay Tucker 4M a year... 1 week later starting to sound a little more realistic? Joe's got some serious problems and 3 weeks in a row now Tucker has missed a kick that would have allowed us to kick a FG to tie or go ahead at the end of the game. Facts are facts and that INT was just unforgivable. Lack or WRs didn't make those 2 INTs happen... neither did poor line play... it's our 120M QB making incredibly bad reads and anticipation throws.

The Ravens were at San Francisco's 41-yard line on the play, and the 49ers brought pressure that pushed Flacco outside. He escaped the defender and had time to throw, but heaved a pass over the middle of the field that wasn't within 10 yards of a Ravens player. 49ers safety Kenneth Acker easily made the interception and then returned it 46 yards. "We were looking to hit a shot over the top," Flacco said. "I pulled up and was trying to buy time and make a play, and it got to the point where I didn't see anyone open, so I was just trying to throw the ball away. I didn't think anyone was on that side of the field. I didn't even look. I was just trying to throw the ball away, and it was obviously a really, really dumb throw."

^ So, when I or others in here say that Flacco made or makes bone headed and horrible throws the Flacco homers come out in full force to rush to his defense.  How do you handle what he says about them (those passes) himself?  Hmmm?  Smh!

The only reason that the D held SF to field goals is that Kaepernik is an awful QB. Yes Joe made some inexcusable interceptions. However to say that at he singlehandedly cost us the game shows that you are ignorant of what actually transpired or you are trolling.   The fact you fail to account for all the drops and endzone drops nails your coffin shut.  Don't feed this guy anymore.

The Ravens have to consider giving Flacco significantly less money when they do their restructure for two reasons. 1: less of these overinflated contracts is always a positive for everyteam and frees up resources for say a solid WR or CB. 2: Joe just isnt earning his contract and the Ravens must realize this. Alot of fans are blinded by their desperation to have a franchise QB and while make up constant excuses, hopefully the organization is not. While joe is a good QB he is far from great and even further from earning the money he is getting paid.

The one INT was so bad, it could have been flagged for intentional grounding. There wasn't a Raven within 20 yards.

That play ranks close to the worst on Flacco's career-worst reel, just below running out the clock vs the Bengals last year, and below that fumble by Polamalu in the playoffs.

Another 3 hours wasted on a Sunday afternoon watching your team self destruct. Flacco, when are you going to learn that throwing the ball downfield in desperation only works against us. Take the loss or throw it out of bounds. Quit giving us all the canned PC remarks about getting better. It ain't happening and you too, are a big part of the problem now. Have to say that this year you are not worth the money that you are being paid. Right now a 7-9 season looks to be a stretch for this group. Winning 6 may be to tall an expectation.

The alternative of not paying him is exponentially more expensive than the money you would pay him.
