This one really hurts

You may want to skip the next one, then.....I'm beginning to think my prediction of a 4-12 season was a bit too optimistic, but I'm sticking to it.....for now.

Trade Steve Smith to the Packers for a conditional draft pick, make the condition something that will be impossible to achieve. Give him away to a team that is going places, no one deserves a super bowl more than him and he isn't going to get it here.

We need to do SOMETHING about our leaky Defense? to call that mess a Defense is quite a stretch....I predict that by 4.00pm today... some management heads will be rolling out the door.....Hey Ozzie.... how's Torrey Looking now????? or Anquan???? stop paying those who are no longer Ravens and we would have cap space to have kept these two around.....

Torrey and Anquan showed Ozzie and Harbs what's up today...

That may be true, but considering who was "covering" them, any able bodied receiver could have done the same. Maybe even Marlon Brown. I did say maybe.

I hardly ever comment but after yesterday's game I cannot stay put anymore...

First of all...I have NO FREAKING CLUE of why in this world Dean Pees still has a job...

How can you leave Torrey in single coverage with no safety help against your new corner whom Torrey has been practicing until two weeks ago???

It's OBVIOUS that it's either going to be a TD or a long PI...

I totally concur with one of you guys past week noticing that DBs that are supposedly stars in the making or at least solid players come to the Ravens and start sucking...that to me IS A SCHEME PROBLEM...

Will Hill wasn't that average of a player, he had behavior issues...now those are solved but his play is lackluster to say the least

Kendrick Lewis (watch out for his leg, hopefully nothing serious) was SOLID at least in Houston, here is a nobody...

I get it that we've been bitten by the injury bug even harder this year than past year, but this nonsense simply has to STOP!

I'm having a feeling (moreso hoping) Pags gets the boot at the end of the year and we get him back, or I would promote Monachino to DC...I'm SURE he wouldn't do any worse than Pees...only problem with promoting him is we're going to lose him soon...

Boy do the niners suck??? Well...we suck even more...

And...I NEVER put the blame on Flacco but this one is equally on him as well as on the DC...that nonsense 2nd int was a pee-wee mistake, not a superbowl mvp one...

You know it's going to be a long day when Tucker misses a FG...

If we don't right the ship the yearly guaranteed december win here in Miami won't be that guaranteed...

One positive...if we keep on we will have a REALLY high draft pick, that Oz will gladly convert in 15 future 3rd rounders...

You really think that Pees called a play that left Torrey in single coverage with no safety help? Really? C'mon man. That was a BLOWN ASSIGNMENT. Will Hill screwed up - he was supposed to be the deep safety. That's why you saw Harbaugh chewing his butt off on the sideline after the play. Just because the defense gives up a big play, doesn't mean the play call was wrong. Players did not execute.

What DBs are stars in the making? Are you talking about all the waiver wire pick-ups? Will Davis, Shareece Wright, Kyle Arrington? There was a reason those guys were cut.

@The conqueror worm...

Harbs wasn't chewing Will Hill, he was chewing Wright...and the commentators noticed how there were 9 men in the box...

If I am up in the stands (like our DC is) and see this alignment and think it's not the one I want I IMMEDIATELY yell in Harbs' headphone "call a time out!!!"

this didn't happen, that's why I put the blame on the DC...

About the other part of your comment...I'm OBVIOUSLY not talking about the on-the-run panic acquisitions...

I'm talking about Will Hill, Kendrick Lewis, past year Darian Stewart was the worse safety ever, now is having a probowl season, Ihedigbo the same...

Did we just waste a pick on that Tray Walker kid? Is he really not good enough to be out there right now!?

Ravens wasted a lot of picks since 2008. Ravens are in a 5 year hole.

once again justin tucker almost falling just like he did in Cleveland and crucial penality against jimmy smith we would have had the ball with around 4 minutes instead of 1min 6se left in game.

This is why Oz is not as good as people think- he shouldn't be given the role of lifetime GM because what hes done in the past

As much as I'd like to find a reason to disagree with you and keep following the "In Oz We Trust" mantra that has been around since the beginning of time, I can't.  As much as I'd like to disagree with those who said Harbs would have a tough time after the heart and soul of the Ravens, i.e., Ray and Ed, left, at this point I can't.

The Ravens have whiffed on WRs since forever.  The only WR we ever drafted who was worth keeping since 2008 was Torrey.  And we let him walk.  We let Boldin walk.  We seem to be a franchise that always ends up with a great receiver who is in the later stages of his career and end up being a one trick pony dating back to the Mason days.  Difference is that in those days we had a great defense and a tremendous running game.  Now, not so much.  I went back and looked at our draft classes since Harbs has been here.  The first 4 years, from 08-11, we have exactly 4 players we drafted out of a total of 31 picks still on our roster.  We have either cut draft picks, which can be expected, or let talented players we have drafted go.  We have a bunch of our draft picks from 2012 to 2015 still around, but the majority are either injured or on the practice squad.  Very few are making an impact, and those that are making an impact are generally on the defensive side of the ball at LB or D line.  We have whiffed on DBs, WR, RB, etc.  Skill position greatness just seems to elude us, and the one that we did draft we let go in Torrey.

I am a Ravens fan.  I bleed Black and Purple.  But I, for one, cannot understand the strategy moving forward here.  It just looks to me as if this team has no plan, no discipline, no explosiveness, no desire, no scheme...just a lot of "we're fighters, we need to work harder, we're not good enough, we need to get better"...We've heard all that lip service.  Get it done.  And if you can't, Harbs, then take your OC and DC and go coach high school football where your "rah rah" tactics might work.  They aren't working here in Baltimore.

I put that on the Defensive Coordinator. You put a guy that was just cut in cover zero against  a burner like Torrey Smith. Stupid. That's that same as putting  Chykie Brown or a safety one on one with AJ Green, Pees has no clue on personnel and coverage.

And I love Harbs calling Wright out after the game.  Good job, John.  No, it wasn't the fact that you left a guy who is new to the system out there on an island.  It wasn't the fact that the DC made a stupid, idiotic play call.  It's all on the player because his technique was "below the line". Hey, you picked him up off the waiver wire.  I'm assuming someone looked at some tape on Wright and figured out what his strengths and weaknesses are so we could call the right defense to be sure we were putting our best effort as a team out there, getting the most out of our players that are available. I mean, the 49ers sure knew what Wright's weaknesses are.   It's up to you to prepare, John.  And if a player can't do it by himself, you better figure out a way to put the team, as a whole, in the best possible scheme that will provide the best coverage.  Interesting that we keep getting burned deep yet we still put 9 in the box on a passing down.  Brilliant.  Yeah, that's an individual player's fault.  Good call, John.  Good call.

PS: This is me SCOFFING...we will win when Harbs and his coaching staff figure out what the hell they're doing.  My faith in that ever happening is quickly fading.

this is funny, cuz normally the complaint is "OMG the corners play so far off the receivers and everybody dinks and dunks!!"

guess what? if Wright was playing off of Torrey, he wouldnt have gotten burned for a TD.

just further proof that none of you have an actual idea what you're talking about when it comes to this defense or its coordinators. you get exactly what you want, and you're still back here chirping on monday morning. yall complain for the sake of complaining.

and before anybody comes with irrelevant tangent arguments about Wright's talent: yes, he is bad. But that doesnt change my point about you all either.

This season has been frustrating, mostly because we've lost our heart...  There's no "killer instinct" on our team, including, but not limited to: coaching staff, players, and other team-members.  I as a fan call for Pees' head, but maybe we need to call for what's-his-name OC's head too.

I also think we should let more players on the P-squad go ahead and get their shot, after all: our first team offense and defense aren't cutting it.  Throw them to the lions, and maybe by the end of the year, we'll be able to accurately gauge for next year what we need to do.

The Raven's decline from greatness has felt much like the US's so far this season.

I hate to spit out what can be conceived as a conspiracy theory, but there is NO WAY we are really this bad...it can't be. And when you look at the usually crummy teams out there now posting favorable W-L records this year so far, the 50th YEAR OF THE SUPER BOWL ERA, and all of a sudden we are not looking as great as we Ravens fans KNOW this ball club to be (after a disappointing playoff finish but with all of this potential to compete and possibly win SB 50), you gotta ask questions and wonder...

Harbs yelling on a newly acquired player on national TV for a screw up that was caused because of a DC that fails to put safety help on Torrey is exactly whay's wrong with this team and our HC failing to recognize the real problem.

Can someone tell me why we are so under the CAP every year. Every offseason we never have enough money to get a big name free agent, you get what you pay for and you see how that's working out. What's up with the money management.
