Next Up: Arizona Cardinals

280 posts in this topic

I know we are big underdogs, but after Arizona struggled against freaking Landry Jones of all people, I think we actually have a chance of winning. Az cannot stop the run either; their LBs are garbage.

It might be a game that goes offense to offense.

All of this stuff you're saying means absolutely nothing in favor of the Ravens.  Nothing!  This stuff was said about the Raiders and the Ravens lost!  It was said about the Browns and the Ravens lost!  It was said about the 49ers and the Ravens lost!  That should tell you something.  They are playing at home and on Monday Night football primetime against a 1-5 team.  I have no doubt that the Cardinals will come out like gang busters and world beaters against this team and that the Ravens won't be able to match their passion, fire and intensity to win that game!  I see a Ravens team that is 1-6 on the horizon.  Brace yourselves!

That's how you win your money big time; in 2012, we are 1:50 to win SB, 1:11 underdog against Denver, 1:9 against NE, and 1:3 against 49ers.

Against Arizona, we should be 1:10 underdog, so throw in 1 dollar to win 10 dollar....

This will be the first week where we play a team with a competent QB and a good set of skill position players. If we made the Browns and McCown through for almost 500, this will be fun to watch.

It is sad but every game so far was winnable for the Ravens. Not so much the Cardinals, but I have a feeling the Ravens will prevail and surprise with an easy victory. Then the real wondering begins...

What in the hell have you seen from this team (offensively and defensively) after 6 weeks of game play and a 1-5 record....that makes you even remotely utter this type of nonsense from your lips to your fingertips to type this Elli?  :DB)

An insatiable desire and hope for a Ravens victory and a whole lot of purple Koolaid to wash it all down! ;)

Ohhhh...K!  Lol!

I have a desire for them to win as well and yet at the same time I'm honest with and at peace with myself knowing that they just don't have it in'em this season!  This roster is horrible in reference to the "caliber" of players needed to compete with the upper eschalone of teams (i.e. Patriots, Broncos, Packers and even the Bengals etc.).  These players (with the exception of a small few) are low level tier players in comparison to other teams imo.  Again, I see the Ravens falling to 1-6 after Monday Night.  Nothing they have shown me this far says other wise!

We will still lose by less than 7.  Thats the one thing we are consistent on is losing painfully close.

Arizona cardinals franchise record For passing yards is 484.

McCown was nearly able to do that against the Ravens. Palmer with those receivers he has might be able to put up more than 500.

we have competed every single game while still playing horribly. One or two plays go differently or one or two penalties not being called and we could easily be sitting at 4-2 or even 5-1. Imagine if we actually start playing well.

The Cardinals just lost to the Steelers and they cant be happy about that. They get the Ravens at their home on Monday night. I hope we win but I would not bet on the game. I just want the Ravens to show up as a whole team all 4 phases offense, defense special teams and coaching.

We lost to the RAIDERS talk is cheap if you are not backing it up with something or some action but the Ravens so far nothing....

But we're not!  We're 1-5 and for good reasons.

Of course I am a true Ravens fan!  Just because I speak something negatively about the team based upon what I've seen in their gameplay doesn't mean that I wouldn't "like" for them to win.  Of course I would!  I'm just not into coming in here and being phony about what I think and feel about our boys or trying to be politically correct!

And we lost to the Browns (at home after being upo 21-9) and the 49ers.....

I wouldn't even bother running if I was the Cardinals .

Just light up our secondary - it will be easy .

Even Jimmy is gonna revert back to Double Move Jimmy and get lit up .

people are trying to make sound the cards are beatable because the squeelers beat them with 3rd string qb, but u got remember that steelers have 3 good WRs that can stretch the D. their D has been revived .

Simply put, if we don't get a running game going, we will lose by multiple scores. Peterson will limit what SSS does. That will leave our other WR's to try and beat their secondary, which probably won't happen.

On defense, I think they only thing the Ravens can do is hope and pray they win the turnover battle because we are way outmanned when it comes to their passing game. If there's no pass rush, it will be an early bed time Monday night.

On the defensive side, that game went almost perfectly to how the Ravens would like to play, but never are able to. They gave up a ton of yards but came away with turnovers or held the Cardinals to 3 points and not a touchdown.

I believe the Cardinals had almost 450 yards passing against them. With the way we can't get off the field and the state of our secondary, if we aren't able to do the exact same thing, if Palmer throws for 450 yards, we will get at least 30 on our defense.

I thought the same thing. The Steelers don't have an amazingly talented defense, but they were playing real bend-don't-break defense, and they were able to get turnovers. It was basically the Ravens' defense, but simply better.

They've given up just as many yards as we have but are so much better in the redzone. Plus they don't have Dean pees who really calls some confusing plays. On That Torrey smith Td we had 9 players in the box with only our corners in man to man coverage no one except the d linemen blitzed. On the 3rd and 12 pees called for a CB blitz and boldin just sat on the route. Daryl Smith isn't fast enough to run that far back into coverage. Idk what we're doing but it's not working

you missed the point. If we can compete with every single team we've played and come that close to victory while still playing so horribly, imagine if we actually start playing well. Of course a loss is a loss but coming that close gives you hope that if we start executing and eliminating the bonehead mistakes that we are not THAT far off from being a winning football team and it will probably only take a few adjustments this offseason to get us right back in the mix.
