The Good, the bad and ugly vs 49ers

438 posts in this topic

The Ravens have always had this problem under Harbaugh/Flacco... Also I know a lot of HC's call stupid challenges and TO's from time to time, but Harbaugh really is the worst by far at TO management.

Yep wasting TOs always comes back to bite us. Like really, blow a TO at 14:17 in the 3rd quarter when you're down!?

The clock management by the offense at the end of the game was absolutely pitiful.

The offense in general was trash most of the game aside from when we were desperate in the second half. Why does this seem to happen every game? And this happens across coordinators...have to think Harbaugh has something to do with it.

Flacco's mechanics are atrocious, I'm tired of him throwing off his back foot.

Jimmy Smith is looking like another bad contract, and Shareece Wright shouldn't be on the team tomorrow.

So many missed opportunities between the dropped TDs, dropped INTs, and missed kick.

Nobody on this team cares anymore. I'd say look for a 50 blowout next week but we all know we'll somehow be competitive just to lose during the last possession. Again.

The only "good" is that fans will stop pretending that this season is going anywhere. 1-5 should do it, finally.

Yes cause its good for the fans to stop believing in the team.

I am disgusted but I am at least still a fan and will continue root and hold onto hope that maybe the season can turn around until it's absolutely impossible.

This team hasn't given me a reason to believe in anything. I'd love for them to finish out the year 10-0, and I guess it could happen, just like I COULD win the lottery. Theoretically anything is possible but realistically that isn't going to happen.

The only thing I can hope for is that we make changes now in preparation for next year and maybe we can string together a few wins towards the e d.

Flacco is just not a very good regular season QB. Makes terrible decisions. Some of his decision making would make myself look like an NFL QB.

I don't know why people are hating so hard on Jimmy. Obviously hampered early by injury, but he's progressively gotten better. He got beat on a scramble drill, the absolute hardest play to defend as a defensive back. It happens

Absolutely disgusting.  There are only a handful of guys on this team that deserve to even collect their pay check.  Dean Pees still has to go and there are no more excuses.  Shareece Wright should not even be allowed to get on the plane home.  This defensive line played great today and made our defense look half respectable until Pees left Wright alone to cover Torrey.  Jimmy Smith's penalty on 3rd down with a few minutes left killed any chance we had.  This team needs an overhaul this offseason and a top draft pick is going to look real nice.  If Harbaugh does not make some changes then i dont know what to think of this team.  The injuries have decimated this team but that is no excuse, I love the Ravens and I will continue to watch each game eventhough they very well may go 3-13 or so.  Flacco, Forsett, Yanda, SSS and Brandon Williams are the only guys keeping us afloat and its just not enough.  On top of it Kendrick Lewis looks like he suffered a serious injury.  Sorry for the long rant but I cannot stand how bad this team is playing and the lack of effort some guys are giving.  30 seconds left and our lineman are JOGGING to the line for Flacco to spike it.

Missed the game.Did Wright play that bad?

I'm almost willing to take a delay of game penalty then to keep wasting our timeouts consistently like this...clock and timeout management is horrible.

Who besides Wizard and Sami saw this season going the way it is? lol

If you predict every year that the team is gonna suck, eventually you'll be right

Can someone please answer, "why are we so terrible this year??!?!"

I honestly did not think we'd be this bad. I thought we were roughly the same as last year before the season began

Losing Suggs really sent our season into a tailspin.  Losing 1 player should never ruin your season but I honestly believe if he stayed healthy some of these blown leads and bad lapses would not have happened.  Its a what-if scenario though.  Harbaugh really needs to consider making a change with Pees and give Martinadale or Monachino a chance to see if they can get better play out of some guys.  Ozzie should start thinking about what players he is going to go after in F/A and the who he is going to draft in the top 5.  Hargreaves, Ramsey, Treadwell or Bosa would be excellent.

- Two dropped TDs by SSS

- Two dropped INTs by the D

- Two INTs by Flacco

- Horrific time management

- Poor challenge calls

- O-lineman jogging to the LoS on the final drive

- D letting a scrub like Quinton Patton get that wide open

All the signs to a poorly coached team that last drive.  Waste about 20 seconds instead of clocking the ball to ruin the drive.  Misuse of timeouts early in the half.  Players not understanding the situation.

At this point, we have become the Browns.  Even the good players look bad.  Our probowl kicker can't kick.  Steve Smith can't catch.  Joe threw maybe the worst throw of his career.  We dropped 3 TD passes.  Even our TD pass to Aiken was caught by the wrong guy.  We almost defended our own TD throw.

The defense looked really good when playing up at the line minus the new guy falling down and being terrible all game in general.  Would have much rather had Asa out there.  First half, they played off coverage up until the last few plays of their final drive.  They gave up 225 passing yards that half.  Second half was lots of up at the line with much better results, especially on third down.  That flag near the end on Jimmy was pretty garbage.  They called nothing all game where there was plenty of contact, and then they called that at the absolute worst time on a play that was very ticky tack.

Also, Joe has just looked uncomfortable all season.  He didn't look like this last year.  He seems unsure what to do.  He seems frustrated.  That last int was such a Cutler spite throw that it makes me wonder.

This Ravens team is absolutely horrendous!

They are what their record says they are...bottom-feeders or cellar-dwellers at 1-5.

Time for many in here to detox themselves from the purple kool-aid!

His regular season numbers are very pedestrian, but more times than not he's been clutch when it matters, even in the reg season. This year though, not so much. His 4th quarter heroics ranking has definitely taken a hit (not entirely his fault though obviously).

Missed the game.Did Wright play that bad?

Torrey torched him for a TD (no surprises, no safety help, 9 guys close to line of scrimmage), fell down on the TD to Quinton Patton.

I have one thought. The season is done. It's time to move on

As a great man once said "Only a fool trips on what's behind him"

Seriously though I hope this is a great draft class. Hopefully as good as the past two.

Also has to be noted, 49ers are one of the worst offenses in the NFL. Our D let them throw for 350 yards. Like I say every week but, what in the hell is going to happen when we play a great QB? Because up until now, we have played below average QB's and made them look all pro.

Same here.I'll root for them until there mathmatically done but I'm not so much of a fan that I cant see the truth. This team just isn't very good and the injuries that keep piling cripple us every week. Not to mention the coaching staff gives us nothing to believe in with their schemes and actions.

My friend at work said she was considering sitting Kaep because he hadn't done anything this season. I kindly pointed out he was about to play the Ravens and would probably be top three in points

We need some serious help on both sides of the ball. I think some change is needed. Guys just don't seem like they want to play at times. Who should we draft next year?
