[News] Ravens Move RB Terrence Magee To Active Roster, Cut Charles James

48 posts in this topic

Carr and McCown had fun and now Kap will have a career day against us. Go easy on us Torrey and Boldin

I felt bad picking up Kap today in Fantasy, but you gotta do what you gotta do........ :(

I have never been less concerned with a Sunday during football season (unless of course it is the Ravens bye week). I have almost no stress or anxiety. Whether they win or lose I have zero expectations which has left me quite relaxed today. While I am sure I will still have anger and disgust from the performance we will witness I believe I might be adding a little time to my life today and each week moving forward. For that I say "Thank You Ravens".

Reason 1-4 is poor drafting recently in early rounds. Elam,Brown,Brooks, and now Perriman to name a few.You can't survive in this league relying on cut and undrafted players. This has caught up with Ozzie and John.

The only way to get James back to the PS and move Magee up was to cut James, hope he clears waivers and sign him back to the PS. I'm guessing that's what they are doing. Was probably what they were trying to do with Melvin but he didn't clear waivers. We might get Melvin back when the Pats decide he's not a starter and cut him to try and put him on their own PS, but he was actually not wowing anybody this year.

This year is about giving young guys some experience and seeing what we've got to build around. We might win a game or two along the way, but right now thanks to injuries and defensive lack of talent I expect us to finish close to the bottom. In the draft we will be shopping for multiple OLBs and CBs and a WR to play next to Perriman if he ever makes it onto the field. If we can resign Flacco to a more favorable dollar amount, get Ray Rice, Pitta and Ngata off the books, use that money to resign KO, Upshaw and Tucker, get Suggs, Camp and Urban back from injuries, I am excited about getting back into the race in 2016.

So make lemonade out of lemons -- let's see what these youngsters can do and not worry about the scores. I probably wouldn't play SSS or Forsett if they are hurt -- why aggravate things? If somehow they go on a tear that's great but giving the current starting point let's assume it's not about that anymore.

The blitz killed us last week just don't blitz keep a spy on mixleplick whatever his name is and it's a "W"! This is the turning point and the Ravens can make that run for a Championship! 2-4 3-4 4-4 5-4 6-4 7-4 8-4 9-4 10-4 11-4 12-4! The Ravens are the "ONLY" team that can dethrone the pats and the team the pats don't wanna see! Joe can beat brady just can't stop playing because brady will shoot it out also! Keep Joe in the shotgun and keep BLASTIN KEEP BLASTIN KEEP BLASTIN! Go Ravens!

I believe the Blitz saves us! With our horrible Secondary, were it not for the Blitz, we'd be eaten alive!

It is also evident that our defensive scheme doesn't adjust well! We were gashed by average TEs in the Cleveland game which kept Browns' drives alive! Coverage being the weakness in C.J.s game is now how even bad teams will attack our defense!

We're looking at Q and Torrey to have great games against our "Cushion Defense" yet we may prevail because Joe can out-score Kap!

This is clearly a rebuilding year, which is why so many guys with minor injuries are getting stashed on the IR. We have a tremendous amount of dead money that gets cleared off the books next year. The best thing the Ravens might do now is tank the season to reload in the draft (love the thought of Ozzie being armed with a pick in the top 10). If Smith Sr. is going to retire, may as well trade him to a contender for a conditional pick as well. Same goes for Osemele too. Hate it, but sometimes you just have to play the hand you are dealt. And oh yeah, you can go ahead and fire Pees now and sign Schwartz as our D Coordinator.

@ Mystigo_Dragon the blitz leaves the secondary hangin sorta speak when they need numbers back to help in coverage that's why I feel it killed us last week! Just rush four no more than five and spread out the other SIX! That's all I'm sayin no beef!

Oh, wow, that should put fear in the hearts of the 49ers. Ravens sign Terrence Msgee from practice squad. WHO? Oh and they cut a corner who never got the chance to play even though their "starters" (ha ha) are getting torched on just about every pass play. Talk about garbage news. If this is the best that Ravens fans can hope for, the long season just got longer.

The way the losses have piled up early at this point of the season has forced me to look for the silver lining that I hope is in this "cloud" that we're in. So, each loss I console myself with the thought that our draft spot will be better. But, "tank the season?" Are you advocating that we actually Try to lose? This I could Never be comfortable with. Now, dedicating ourselves to seeing more of our subs (than we've already been forced to see due to injuries) in order to determine who we should try to hold onto, well, That I Am comfortable with. Truly, though, the number of injuries we've had has already forced us to do that to some extent. I'm not ready to give up on trying to find a way to re-sign KO, though. Like you said, we lose a Lot of dead money next year, so I don't know that we couldn't really sign him if we wanted to. Actually, I liked the idea someone wrote on here about sliding KO over to LT and playing Urschel at LG, to see if KO would be an upgrade over Monroe and if Urschel is ready to be a starter. I think Monroe has been a bit of a disappointment, and if KO is better, I'd like to see them move from Monroe if they can find a suitor and perhaps re-sign KO as our LT. If trying things such as this happens to produce more losses, I can live with that  because, as you said, we are in a rebuilding mode and, again, we can console ourselves with the thought of those better draft choices. I just don't like to think of "tanking the season." Getting comfortable with losing is NOT a good thing and, often, very difficult to overcome. Experimenting in order to confirm what we do or do not have and what we do need to find is one thing, but we should Always be trying to win, not "tank."

I agree with you in theory, but I can't agree with including Perriman in your examples. So many people are so impatient with him because of his injury that they are prematurely labeling him a bust. I still happen to believe he possesses the skills to become a #1 receiver in the NFL. The man has not even played in One game yet. He is injured, not a bust. Nobody knows yet what he can be. We just have to wait to see. There's Nothing else we can do. Brooks, too, shows some promise, but overall I think you are right. Ozzie certainly has Not had the success he has typically had in the past these last few years.

with the bengals 6-0 the division is not attainable. wild card is the only way and if we lose today than season is over and time to play the young guys and try different things like osemele at lt and hurst at lg to see if it works to save us from drafting a lt in the 1st rd next season. play arthur brown and start trading vet players. trade deadline is in 2 weeks

Hopefully we'll get back Charles James on the PS. CBs are getting scarce. Magee is an expected move though.
