[News] Eisenberg: Panic Just Isn't In Ravens' DNA

46 posts in this topic

"PANIC isn't in my Dana as well! Don't know what to say about some these fans though what happened to being "RELENTLESS" or is that just when things are going well?! I hope Allen and Forsett are roommate's so he can find all the "GAPEING" holes, but I really want Joe, to have a Flashback and light them up in the air but this time they can't turn the power off! Can I get a Joe Flacco "Player of the week"?! Just once!

And then it will go 2-4 then 3-4 then 4-4 5-4 6-4 7-4 8-4 9-4 10-4 11-4 12-4 yall feel me it can happen!

LETS GO!

John, I think you are down playing the benefits of emotional play especially on the defensive side of the ball. I personally would be delighted to see some anger and destain because the players know how poorly they are performing....Not Just Words ... Emotion like when Ray Ray was on the field!

No panic here just resigned to the fact they aren't going any where this year. No speed, a defense and offense that is the worst in the league in the 4th quarter pretty much sums it up. Hoping for the best but expect the worse. Haven't done it all year and surely not expecting miracles now. Will see what the foundation is going forward.

so true, ask the saints if anger and desperation didn't have an effect last night. Did you see them? They asserted themselves the whole game, heck ask steve smith! Without a doubt, do you think that if EVERY PLAYER played every down with his grit and determination, we would have lost? heck no we would be 5-0!!! desperation, high emotion call it whatever you want, we have lost the edge that made us bullies on the field and acting like it isn't hurting us is honestly upsetting me

Explain all the roster moves and mid season trade then...

that's not panic that's doing what needs to be done. When somebody goes on IR somebody has to fill their spot. Moves weren't really made until we were hit with a string of injuries. Edited by January J

They need to play with Controlled Aggression, Controlled Emotion, and Controlled Ferocity and Uncontrolled Heart. Then we win. Teams that come out fast in the first qtr and after halftime definitely have the advantage and win more games. That comes from the Pre Game and Halftime Pump Up and focus.

They need to play with a sense of urgency, having amnesia with a 1-4 record will dig them in a deeper hole. They need to play like a 1-4 team that wants to make it to the playoffs and not a 1-4 team that wants to get through a bad season.

Other than the Pittsburgh game win you would have to go back to the first preseason to game to know what winning locker room was like and that win was on Renner. We sucked then and suck worse now. Scouting isn't cutting it. Obviously changes need to be made across the board. Don't need a feel good rah rah story to lift my spirits. Each week will get even harder to write anything positive about 2015 Ravens. Just the facts.

Trust me, not all the guys on IR are out for the year. Some guys probably would have only missed a few weeks. It is a way for Ozzie to hang on to guys while clearing space for their replacements.

What is wrong with you people. Do you honestly think they like losing? Some of these comments belong in the trash can. Yes we need to improve and don't think for one moment that isn't on their minds but I don't think they should be running through the castle screaming. Spoiled fans are what we are. Playoffs almost every year and the fans are the ones that can't handle the losses not the team. Go Ravens!

Nothing wrong with me. I suffered through heart breaking losses prior to winning the Super Bowl 2012 and we still had a pretty decent Defense then. Nothing wrong with pointing out an inferior product. Not abandoning ship, their still my Team but I believe in calling a spade a spade. I don't have my head in the sand or clouds. I love the Ravens win or lose. Just so happens were losing now. Culmination of things injuries, poor draft picks, cap management you name it. Do I have faith that they will turn things around? You Betcha! Just maybe not this year? We went from contenders to pretenders pretty fast. I'm coping the best I can.

that still doesn't mean anybody's panicking. That's just part of the numbers game that's done by teams every single season. Some have more than others but it happens,

I am glad you feel the Ravens are confident John, but, confidence without positive results begins to ring hollow if it happens 4 times over in 5.

We knew that our depth, especially on the defensive side of the football, was abysmal. We saw this repeatedly during the preseason but brushed it off. So not for nothing, but when your depth matters the most, in the 4th quarter when starters are starting to get gassed and fatigued and you need to rely on your depth, guess what happens? Everything collapses. Talent-wise we're an extremly top-heavy team, and that top has experienced injuries to playmakers that are at the very core of our offensive and defensive schemes. Not every team is built to have a complimentary 4.25s-40 WR take tops off while SSS and the TEs do their damage underneath or we stretch with the running game. There aren't Sizzles on each team demanding double coverage and calling out plays prior to the snap to help their guys.

Our troubles aren't just remedied by "playing better." We're missing absolutely essential cogs in our machine that we won't be getting back early enough to salvage this season.

So if you take a deep breath and calmly see the big picture, it's a credit to our coaches and Joe that we're even competing late into every game and putting up 30 points. They're trying their best but at the end of the day you can only work with the cards fate has dealt you.

This is a professional football team. Professionals don't publicly lament the unfairness of their perdicaments. It's our responsibility as fans to be fair judges. When La'veon Bell went down last year and we beat those guys, it was understood that the game would have been different if he was healthy. The same with Big Ben now, or Jamaal Charles, or Tyrod Taylor or Dez Bryant or Tony Romo etc etc. When injuries are routinely used by other clubs, pundits, fans or any third party observers to explain away a team's poor performance, why should the Ravens, an organization run by human beings just like them, be held to any higher or more unreasonable a standard?

By its own fans to boot!

Maybe you can try this. When you have the lead. Stop playing soft. Keep the CB's at the line and jam the receiver. Stop playing 9 yards back every down. 5 games, 5 blown 4th quarter leads. Only 1 was a big play. The rest was the other team dinking and dunking down the field for the late win. If the steelers had a kicker the ravens would be 0-5.

Sorry, but the struggle is real were not that good and it shows with a 1-4 record. Sad to say it but reality is turning it's ugly head against us die hard spoiled Ravens fans.

Yes the struggle is real and I am sure the Ravens realize that. If we had a crystal ball and knew what was in store for us maybe things would be different. We are what we are at this point and we have another 11 games to play. So the fans can panic and sing their songs about who we should draft next season and the Ravens will strive to win some games with the odds stacked against them. Go Ravens!

I don't know if you Panic, but at 1-4 a sense of urgency is required from players and coaches. It's evaluation time for players and coaches. It's very important to find out who contributes to the winning effort. Who has heart, discipline, and leadership. Give the young guys the snaps now that can payoff later. They switch around players like musical chairs. If the Ravens continue to lose, coaches are next.

I think the problem might be that Ozzie and the boys draft big, fast hard hitting, in your face, lets go hunting type maulers for our defense then Pees puts them in a read and react, rubber band bend but don't break, keep it all in front of you defense that isn't as aggressive, as bad to the bone, or as 'RAVENESK' as Marvin Lewis's, Pagono's, or Ryan's.

Hate to say it but my gut tells me the 9'ers will come out hungrier than us and a change will HAVE to be made at 1 and 5

Oh yea, im looking for our defense to allow the 9ners to set world breaking numbers never seen on the face of the earth. Im talking about end of days types of numbers lol.

It might be time to hit the panic button if we were getting blown out of games but a few different refs and a couple of lucky bounces and we'd be 5-0.
