[News] The Caw: When A Ravens Fan Helped A Steelers Fan

26 posts in this topic

I shared this story.... I found it very compelling when I first read it. The original story didn't really say that she was a Steelers fan, but I made that assumption anyway.

NICE JOB GUYS.... PEOPLE LIKE THESE GUYS MAKE ME EVEN MORE PROUD TO SAY I'M A RAVENS FAN... ALWAYS WAS, AND ALWAYS WILL BE.

Like cursona pirate said "Its just a game"! I watch the game with a bunch of squeelers every God given Sunday at the sports bar in Cleveland Ohio surrounded by them and Browns fans and we all get along very well! Saw alot of fights as a child playing them two times a year all my life but that's over now they visit our city we visit theirs! A few beat down here and there but those are kids Lol!

Incredible story and display of character. We're all people at the end of the day. The Sean story puts it over the top, what a coincidence.

Nice story. At times some of the idiots in the seats think they are playing the game and try to get in your face. There are way to many altercations in the stands. I've been fortunate enough to attend a number of games at different stadiums. I'd like to see security really stick to the NFL Code Of Conduct Policy and toss more dopes out so we could all enjoy the event. Again, great example how everybody should behave.

I have tears in my eyes, especially when they talked about Sean always being there to help, and this guys name was Shawn. Team fans (any team) are good people, and it's great to hear a story like this surface.

First, thank you Shawn and friends for being great fans that all of Baltimore can be proud of in the way you represented your home town team, the Ravens, with such class. Secondly, Shawn and friends, beyond football, thank you also for being compassionate, considerate and honorable human beings in this rather self centered world, to notice someone in need, then take the time and care to show a genuine act of kindness to a complete stranger. Although I can sometimes become jaded or discouraged about people in general, it is simple, unsolicited and selfless acts like this that restore my faith in humanity in this often nutso world we live in. This story gave me both misty eyes and a smile.

I think there's an underlying respect between us and Steeler fans. At least with the real fans. Steeler "fans" hv the most bandwagoners; and they are the obnoxious, ignorant, idiots that cause problems. In the end, though, we all should help each other, no matter the color, race, social status; or what team you go for.

At Least when we play the Steelers... it's a SMASH Mouth Punch in the Face Game where the Teams stand UP to each other....not to mention the Brady's who KNOW they cannot beat anyone 'straight up' and they must use deception and last second 'Im Eligible' in order to gain a win.... God Be with THEIR Fans.....

That because Steeler fans and Ravens fans have a common enemy, the New England Crybabies and their Mr. Personality coach.

Very cool story; goes to show the opposing fans don't have to be enemies or hate each other. It's a fun rivalry - the best there is!

The fact that this is reported as a story makes me embarrassed to be a sports fans. Are we really extolling the virtues of some people for helping an elderly woman who has mini-strokes because they are fans of different sports teams? As if they would be completely justified to not offer to help (especially when they were qualified to do so) because they are Ravens fans and she is a Steelers fan? Why was everybody in the family "so stunned" that they offered to help an elderly lady? This is beyond pathetic.
