[News] What’s Team Morale Like For Ravens?

32 posts in this topic

What would you expect the morale of a team that has won 2 games and lost 7 including pre-season be? I would imagine 'luke warm' and 'tepid' at best and 'not at all good' at worst.

I was walking around like a proud father Sunday and couldn't believe the outcome! The Ravens looked so good Sunday but not trying to throw it in the endzone killed them when Justin went down! Glad to hear they aren't shakin like some of these fans because I'm thinkin 1-4 to the Super Bowl! LETS GO!

I believe our new offense is about to be explosive! Ross and Givens are gonna make noise! I'm excited about these new RBs that have ton of blazing speed that we never possessed! I have so much faith in us! We can do it! Right now we have a 12 game season! Let's win them all and have our revenge

Each loss was close. It could have gone either way. The stupid penalties is what has hurt us the most. Without those penalties we would be 3-2. If we clean up the play and support our guys, things could turnaround. The injury bug hasn't helped either. I believe that we can win Sunday against the 49ers. I just hope Steve Smith Sr., Crockett Gillmore, and Forsett are all on the field.

when we lost will davis that is when our defense started to crumble... hopeful that someone can step up in his place... The plan they had with webb in the slot w/ smith and davis on the outside was working great.... i was never a big fan of arrington and only had high hopes for him because i was a raven faithful, looks great on paper but hes struggled, when watching him in new england, the only time he stood out was when he would tackle hard and cause fumbles other than that all memories are of him not doing good... watching wired up yesterday and listening to Aiken speak was kind of scary, he was saying they were jamming him and grabbing him at the first sign of a designed route...I can only imagine its worse with marlon brown because he is bigger and slower...Flacco looked great last week even though he leaves recievers open a bit... our pass rush is wats going to win or lose the game for us... the weaker the pass rush the more coverage we are going to need and that leads to failure and big plays against us.... Zadarius Smith has been asked to do alot and i hope they do not line him up at LB because he looked like a kid amongst boys when in the open field, The defensive calls have improved but i wonder if that was because of the confidence in will davis...loosing taliaferio was huge, he was a great change of pace back, injuries have in places of weak depth and its showing in our record... will brent urban be productive for us? i hope he is

I don't know what it is today but these players now if they get a strong wind they tear something. NFL needs to increase the roster to 63. Ravens need 83

Confidence is good, but overconfidence is not. I hope there are some players who have realized they need to study more, practice harder, and play better.

GM, Assist. GM, and Cap Guy..clean-up this mess you have collectively made. This is all on you! I leave out the Head Coach only because, he has an opinion but no power over personnel and salary management. We have become the laughing stock of the AFC!

I love optimism but this much of it, especially in such turbulent waters makes me severely sea sick....

I agree with you! And now we dismissed one of the perpetrators, which should reduce them some and also by cutting him sent a strong message to the rest. So hopefully, there will be no more games lost to those annoying yellow flags. So far it wasn't the other teams that beat the Ravens, it was mainly Ravens that beat the Ravens. I still believe we have enough talent on our roster to get by.

The Ravens haven't played well all year going back to Preseason. I was embarrassed losing to Washington at Home but little did I know our season would be over at week 6. Losing to Cleveland last week was an all time low. We got nothing. Tryouts for 2016 starts this week. Will see if we have foundation to build on? Makes me sick. Look at what Matt Ryan has - Julio Jones, a power running back Devonta Freeman and what do we have? Not much. We have NO stars. Zilcho, Zero. We need a high pick in the draft and it needs to Count this time.

I got neg for believing my team can win? Maybe I'm just the one with faith!

We lost to the Bangals, Raiders, Broncos and the Browns at home while wearing all black, what does your faith have to say?

It takes a team effort, including the coaches making the calls and substitutions, to turn this season around: Disciplined team effort.

We have the best owner in football, a quiet leader who knows how to build an executive team focused on getting the most out of the potential of an organization's talent. Most of all, he will expect accountability all the way down the chain. When Smith Sr. said that some players were not investing their hearts into the team and were "just happy to be here", that set off some major warning bells. Morale may be high because guys are still getting paid and don't care as much about wins and losses (after all, you get paid the same regardless). This needs to be fixed, and is a function of who they draft, what personality and leadership is allowed to exist among the players, and how they get focused and motivated to play. Remember when Suggs was the immature goofball? Well, since Ray and Ed left, he's what passes for a locker room leader. I hope Harbs realizes he can't fill the leadership void himself.

I was thinking during the Browns game that our Defense should have been wearing all pink uniforms with all little black thrown in, instead of the other way around...

Perriweakman had nothing to do with this year. So with him they score 51 but defense gives up 52 GET IT! NGATA and SUGGS are the biggest reason but Ozzie's player selection put the nail in the coffin for years to come. Beside if Perriweakman can't last training camp how in the heck is he going to last 16 games. Heck veteran Webb is only good for three games.
