[News] Late For Work 10/15: San Francisco Worried John Harbaugh Out For Family Revenge

41 posts in this topic

The injury bug from last year has followed us

It must have something to do with our training program. The players union made the practices less greuling. Now they are pampered so when the season starts they arent prepared and get all banged up. Many of our vets like Suggs and Webb admit they come into camp out of shape and try to play their way into shape. This may have worked when they were younger but now seems to be the reason they are both hurt so often. I have no knowledge of the training staff but maybe we lost the veteran staffers to all of the coaching turnover and now have inexperienced or ineffective trainers. 2 years in a row is not just coincidence. my 2 cents

NFL.com has us as one of the teams to "Stick a Fork in them". Yes, I do believe we are done as far as this year is concerned. Let's just hope the FO can do a better job drafting in 2016? Too many picks have been wasted the last few years and that's the problem this year it is catching up to us. Matt Elam bust, Arthur Brown bust, Cody-bust, Sergio Kindle- bust but who could have predicted that one? Perriman & Williams haven't really contributed this year but too early to declare them busts. Just makes you want throw up the way season has played out.

Probably a sign that a turn around is coming. Ravens wasn't picked to make playoffs last year but picked to make the Super Bowl this year.

I gotta admit, the prospect of getting a top-3 pick got me kind of excited. It probably won't happen, since there are quite a few teams worse than the Ravens, but getting Bosa or Hargreaves would be so awesome.

Best outcome for the Ravens, short of miraculously making the playoffs, is to have a top 5 pick and leverage that to reload. Way too many gaps. Two edge rushers on the wrong side of 30, no healthy serviceable WR (again), a running game built around one over 30 RB not used to the workload of the primary back, and a secondary that is almost comically bad. This may take more than one bad season to rebuild, come to think of it.

What would everyone think of going after Alfred Morris next season.  He is going to be a free agent and probably not signed by the Skins due to them drafting Matt Jones in this past draft.  Morris isn't a breakaway RB, but  he is a perfect ZBS cut  back runner.  He also shouldn't cost too much.  I know Ozzie isn't big on free agents, but he is worth it.  Also the skins will have to cut Garcon or Djax.   They will both have contracts over 10m and won't be able to afford both of them.

likely neither would we. Although a lot of dead money comes off the books. How old is Djax anyway and what exactly does his contract look like ? I don't see it,but we will need a veteran receiver once/ if Steve leaves. Edited by January J

Maybe if he had Tom Brady he could get a revenge game and beat them by 40 points.

I was right, we needed Tom Brady to win this game. Seems like the 49ers kick both Harbaugh's butts and I'm a Jim' fan.
